  1. To the Op all I can say is..... spock.png.crdownload
  2. When they installed a similar crossing joining Udorn General Hospital and the central road reservation, traffic didn't stop on a red light there either. The lights there are not working there now. One time when I stopped there (light at red) two or motor bikes just zoomed past me. There were only a couple of people walking across and the bikes swerved around them, but had the been more people crossing...
  3. There's cheese on Uranus???????
  4. Ha, I didn't know they were a gay couple, it was just the masks I was referring to and nothing else was intended. Anything else about the two fellas you'd like to suggest I implied?
  5. On the 10th at around 7 p.m. Mars will be in the constellation of Taurus at an elevation of 24-25o The bright star Aldebaran won't be that far from Mars on the right (in planar view that is.) At an elevation of around 40o will the Pleiades (Seven Sisters) cluster and they will make a triangle with Aldebaran and Mars. A star brighter than Aldebaran, Capella, will be on left of Mars and these three will almost make 'a line' across the sky. The constellation of Orion will be just above the horizon.
  6. Well, I'm certain other countries helped a lot for mandating masks and some even suggesting wearing two, Ha!
  7. When I was married to a Thai Head Ward Nurse (slim build), most of the time she wore slacks. When there were going to meetings or the like she did wear a skirt. However, one day she had to rush out of a meeting to help with a mass emergency and she found the skirt restrictive in the circumstances.
  8. Have these MP's got nothing better to do? Like using as much effort to get the gov. to police the traffic laws better. When I drive by the local market I'm more likely to get crushed by one of the number of overloaded pickups than I am through someone smoking 'weed'...unless,of course, the pickups are overloaded with 'weed' ????.
  9. I'm still on the fence with regard to SMRs. Initially I thought they were more beneficial than the gigawatt type. But then I read a research paper on PNAS which studied three types of SMR and the conclusion was that they would/did suffer more from neutron leakage. However, it was quoted that many designs exist that they had not considered. And when I looked at a WNA list, I was surprised at the many designs. Seems that China has at least a couple of designs for offshore floating SMRs. As far as Thailand is concerned they will need to clear up the many illegal fires that pollute before considering building more NRs as surely there would be an additional risk.
  10. No, but opposite to the to elected President's Party. I was just wondering that's all. I don't the rules of American politics in such emergency situations.
  11. This is a genuine question (I am not American). I heard a few times on various news channels that if both Pres. Biden and VP Harris could not be President then the Speaker of the House is next in line. Does this still apply if the Speaker is a Republican ?
  12. I don't read fiction or novels and buy books from abroad. My problem is finding furniture with strong book shelves that don't bend????. My latest addition is 7 x 10 ins and weighs more than 2 lbs
  13. Fair enough, you prefer a two (or perhaps more) Party system. The USA to me, seems to entering a different phase but I hope it remains in tact. (For many years I voted Left (Labour Party) but when I was voted onto a Council things happened which changed my mind and voted Conservative thereafter...but only just, ????)
  14. Okay, that is a point but if the third Party was anything like the UK Liberal Party then they would remain just 'a bargaining Party' to whoever got majority vote. However, as I have just mentioned on another comment, maybe the USA of the future may have a different structure than it has today and that in itself could be an exciting prospect to the younger generation.
  15. I think my comment to ThailandRyan might also be suitable for me to repeat here because if the GOP were dissolved what party would replace them? I am not American so I'm really speaking of a general case or in the case that Americans want to the USA to remain a Republic. It may be, of course, that the USA as a Republic will cease to be and be governed differently as happened to other countries in the past. When I ask the question about the USA having single Party Rule and you affirmed, I would accept that as your political preference and leave it at that (whether it be on the Left or the Right).
  16. Yes I realise that but are they as powerful? Presumably the number of Republican voters would suggest not. The other minority parties would then be an easy target to be 'ingested'.
  17. 'I don't agree with what you say but agree you should be allowed to say it'. Is that civil? What do you mean by '...force...'?
  18. You hope he destroys the GOP? Sounds like you want a single Political Party Rule...or do you an alternative in mind?
  19. I think few of us can understand these billionaires. G. Soros favours the Left while Musk, the Right. The kind of wealth these, and other billionaires have, must influence how they work and think, not to mention those who try gain influence from them or on them. At their level of wealth I suspect life is whole different 'ball game' and they must be constantly looking over their shoulder to see or find out who is doing what etc.
  20. E.A Crowley Wasn't all he wrote and involved in, Montauk, Men-an-Tol, Magic(k) & Occult etc.
  21. Yes, I understand what you say and as I have commented on another thread, the nearest Thailand has to a clinic for Psychiatric practice are the Monks in Local Temples. However, you also say '...showing signs of...'. What were those signs, becoming aggressive, lack of response, becoming introverted, declining ability to learn etc.? The OP claims the opposite.
  22. This signals to me that he probably had an undisturbed mind and good concentration. [I think at 9th grade maths, Algebra begins in earnest going up to Algebra II, Geometry and in special cases can include pre- Calculus (though depends on the school/country etc.)]
  23. Quite! And not only that, this is a person who should be the 'intelligentsia' of the system/branch where employed.
  24. Yes I wondered about that too. Also, how do they intend to 'ask the Thai people'...a referendum? I doubt it.
  25. Well, I'm jealous that he can go in the sea naked, ha!. Every time I ever went swimming in the sea I got stung by jelly fish...yep, even in Britain. Years ago when I dipped in at Phuket my right knee, calf and shoulder suffered. After that, it's don the pantyhose and tea shirt.
