  1. That is why too, that Biden refused to step down - he wanted the nomination in 2016 when he was younger but the party decided to put HC in and he has been po'd ever since. Hillary had too many skeletons for all the dems to vote for her in my opinion - that is why I wouldn't vote for her but I hate Trump too because I do not feel he has America as his true goal - too much for just himself. Too many elected officials in the US feel the same way, just want to get what they feel is their FAIR SHARE of the riches.
  2. probably close to the same % between Hillary and Trump though she won the popular vote but too many dems voted against her so Trump won.
  3. I do agree that the candidates are bought by the rich and powerful in the US...but Bernie is useless, never had a bill ever passed that he introduced in all his years on the government dole. Is now ricjh from his years in government. The above problems are all true but there is no way any politician today will even try to fix any of them. My opinion anyway.
  4. AN just recently they were moaning about how bad the economy was and lowered the projected GDP growth for the year. Money fleeing the local market faster than ever. Were really positive that the 10K giveaway would drive the economy and now others saying it will be a flop. The people here must get tired of the ups and mostly downs from their government. They certainly deserve better in my opinion.
  5. Besides the point, she is NOT DONALD TRUMP! Pick a great VEEP and should scare Trump into making even more errors in judgement in my opinion anyway.
  6. WHile this is a tax agency, it seems to cover quite a bit of ground on this issue and would be better than just guessing by hundreds uh thousands of folks.
  7. I agree with most, if I am with my wife, a Thai, I usually just keep quiet and listen. She knows I understand and could speak but says just act like you don't speak. If I am by myself I usually chat with them and they become much more friendly while chatting about everything.
  8. thanks a lot, but after a few thousand years what difference does that make as it is still one of the best manmade veggies for one's health.
  9. Funny that as in the US many states require that during daylight hours and some it is just if it is raining during the daytime but then again TIT and itis a safety issure
  10. Everything just about every category of healthy foods!
  11. When looking at statistics related to today's aged folks, also google "chart of each country's obese citizens" and one can understand why pharma tries to keep folks hooked on medicines.
  12. too true...having worked for the US govt, when I reached 40 years (4 military 36 govt) I maxed out money wise. To continue would be about 25 cents an hour diffence in annuity and continuing to work. I knew several co-workers that refused to quit when they reached that milestone and then within a very few years WHAM! struck down either immediate death or short respite but not a healthy wait until the final. Whereas retiring at a relatively younger age, one still can enjoy the financial benefits and healthy lifestyle (if desired) and can then enter a whole new phase of life. I missed work (loved my job) and many of my co-workers (very talented bunch) but enjoyed my retirement and haven't regretted leaving that life. Maybe some folks still need that job financially but if at all possible most should move on and let the younger generations move up, though for some a retirement lifestyle may be too boring depending on what one is still able to do.
  13. Just like all the comments that even nowAdays continue about the LTR when folks obviously have no clue yet they continue to put out false data on that visa too. Amazing all the different stories about 1 subject that we continue seeing on every issue.
  14. Like the LTR once a year are to check in wiht the BOI to provide current address ( or with other immigration office) but if during the year, a holder departs Thailand for any reason before the 1 year period, then upon return to Thailand enters and that 1-year report would be due in 365 more days, if after 300 days he departs again without having to check in with the BOI, upon return the original 1-year report re-starts for 365 days without having to go to the BOI. One can do this as many times as one wants without getting an exit stamp fro re-entry. just saying, stgatus is not invalidated at all. Other visas like the retirement O if one departgs they must get a re-entry permit to keep the visa valid. Elite, ltr and guess the DTV do not. Just saying as you are mistaken about ALL visas in your comment.
  15. cabbage should be as saurkraut to be healthier
  16. researchers now recommend 2-3 cups coffee daily for longer life - no milk and sugar. (number one researcher now Dr. William Li - harvard heart specialist and researcher)
  17. Just google "world chart on obese citizens" and you will see that food can be a killer for sure. Reasearchers now report the major premature killers of mankind are caused by BAD diets BUT by changing one's diet to a much healthier one and a little exercise, those killers can be silenced longer hopefully before one's health is totally shot. Being healthy in old age can be great if that is what one wants to achieve. Have a good one.
  18. fasting has also hit new highs recently. experts says it works as that is how early humans lived, not having plenty of foods available all the time. a lot of articles on fasting benefits. Just saying....I fast daily from 11AM until 6 AM the following day, eating between 6 and 11 only no snacking but do drink water or green tea. I don't lose any weight but feel great and never feel hungry and have done this for the past 2 months.
  19. If her office got those funds requested by the President then where did the rest go?
  20. Yes the European diet is one of the best for health. Some orientals are also healthy eaters and thus live a healthier and longer life. Dr William Li has proven that in the laboratory too and wrote books on it!
  21. Including selling OUR missiles to the Taliban illegally and covered up. Read about Benghazi and why the Americans had to die. Hillary! Hillary!
  22. Need to be careful and cognizant of what one eats otherwise like the number of Americans considered OBESE - 42% with 9 percent as ultra obese! However, doctors, hospitals and big pharma love the fast food and artificial flavors and taste in foods today! take care be safe and healthy!
  23. FYI on dieting for health reasons - suggest you read Dr. WIlliam Li's book(s) on dieting for the prevention of disease and even curing some of the diseases that kill people before their time. He is a Harvard doctor and researcher. He provides different fruits, veggies, grains, seeds etc that fight ALL the diseases and luckily most are readily available in Thailand - at least in BKK or through online Villamarket. cutting out meats is no problem but you might consider seafood as a replacement . Best of luck to you on the diets. I exercise approx 2 hours daily and eat very little meats but always have plenty of energy at 77 years of age.
  24. well, let me start with Jane - if she were on fire I still wouldn't piss on her to put the fire out. I don't like traitors or those who give support to our enemies whether or not one supports the VN war or not. As for KH I read a lot about her prior to the previous election. She could obviuosly work on Soi Cowboy with her talents. I read one of her comments about learning how to care for her "children" (step children) when she married they were already in HS or College so she has no experience of raising children as she claimed in that article I read. As for her sponsorship through the ranks I have read those stories but they may or may not be true in all sense of that career. Now running against the convicted felon, is she the better candidate? the most knowledgeable about politics? more honest - I give her the yes. Will the country suffer more under her or Trump? based on what Trump has promised re taxes, govt workers, and those he doesn't like, and the revenge he says he will carry out - I sure don't see that as positive for the American public. He wants to drop the taxes even further for the rich and their businesses while the middle class has just about disappeared. Used to be, working folks could buy a home, nowadays more and more can't even afford their current house anymore. A scary situation for many. News stories talk about how many citizens are fleeing the taxing states for those states with no state tax or lower taxes and property taxes. But, no matter what now that Joe is out, it should be a more interesting election period. This is my opinion only based on what I have read over the past 5 years or so and as for Joe/Trump, have not read a lot of positives over the decades I have read about them. Good luck to all and hope you pick a good one.
  25. Yeah, Hillary thought the ame thing in 2016 but too many Democrats voted for Trump so she lost where she needed to win...Should be a bit more interesting anyway though I still do not believe that either of them are qualified mentally to be president of the US. But then again, that is only my opinion and I don't count. Have a good one!
