When you live in despair you need to be brave for the rest of your natural life, to end it like this you need to be brave for a few minutes only. -
Why do they do it? A. because they can, with no policing and "crackdown" we hear about every day but not where it's needed. B. it is within the nature of Thai service providers to overcharge and price gauging whether be it selling fruits, drinks or taxi fares, been like this foe decades and worse now with the proliferations of supposedly "rich" foreigners into Thailand.

what a load of hooey, the use of the word crackdown has been used too often to describe a nonsense act by several law enforcement agencies just to show that they do something, infect, get Thai law breakers first before you turn on the foreigners.
