Worked here for 10 years before returning to UK. Have been here 10 years on current UK passport. Returned twice to UK for short visits the last time 6 years ago. Have had retirement visa for past 6 years in Khon Kaen province and living at same address. My current one year ended in December 2021 but my passport expires in April 2022. I was granted a stay until February as a new retirement visa is not normally issued when there is only 4 or 5 months left before passport expires. I sent my passport for renew in November and have only just been informed that VFS Global sent my visa to UK on 16 January. What chance have I got of the KK visa office offering a further extension until April when I hope that my new passport has arrived ? What chance of extension if new passport has not arrived allowing for the fact that I still have money 800,000 in the bank and live at same address and am 75 years old ?

OP - 935XL black - seems to be available but "not really" available - i.e. out of stock or coming soon Probably time for a new printer to suit for needs now, which are far less than some years ago.

Thanks Sheryl for your input. Never was a good butterfly stroke swimmer, think I will be careful with backstroke too. Shame I don't live anywhere near a "real old style beach"

OP - many thanks for the excellent links especially the "LIfe with a pacemaker" My heart rate was around 30 with high blood pressure for many many months and my local hospital did not suggest I see a heart specialist. When a pacemaker was planted a year ago it was set at 60 and my heart rate often fell to this level. Recently it has been around 90 with an acceptable blood pressure> I lost most of my muscle following a stroke and have difficulty in maintaining a good level. Having been a vegetarian then vegan for the past 50 years it is obviously more difficult to have a high protein diet but careful planning of meals can does overcome this. Guess the swimming pool will now become part of my health routine.

I have continued to walk, floor exercise and yoga after I received a pacemaker a year ago. Obviously arm movements are the most difficult to adjust especially the left arm and, being skinny, it easily causes rubbing under the skin. I was a strong swimmer pool ( competition ), sea - surfing and river / lake starting 70 years ago, Up until recently I had enjoyed a dip in a 50mtr pool. Has anyone with a pacemaker continued to swim ( obviously trying to keep the pacemaker dry ! ) and if so what strokes were possible. ?

OP - that probably describes it politely - thank you

I live near a small town in Khon Kaen province. I am lucky enough to have friends who are coffee roasters who have won many awards. Their main business is roasting and supplying coffee. As a side line they have a coffee house, with a few customers, mostly regulars, some traveling 50km from Khon Kaen. The coffees are from world wide and in the coffee house they can serve the coffee prepared in different ways. I am very lucky in that I get my coffee free in return for comments. This week I was offered a new blend which I suggested was from Ethiopia and probably cold brewed, I was correct in that it was not a blend and was informed that the cold brew process took 10 hours. My question relates to the word for a certain taste in Thai language. I said that the coffee was tart ( this can be a wrong taste for coffee but it was prepared correctly and tasted excellent ) They didn't understand when I said it tasted "tart" and said "sour - periyw" but that means sour. They used the words for tangy "xamplil" and bitter "khm". I have heard "thart" before. Could anyone tell me if there is a Thai word for tart ? Tart in a nice flavour way.

OP - I made error about his mother she died from heart worm not brain worm. Never did know where she came from as one day she followed me when walking other dogs and jumped over the wall in to my friends family house.

OP - My days of one on one teaching and producing other material in colour is over and now no longer need XL cartridges. Thanks for all the suggestions and I will look in Khon Kaen first before trying to get online.

It's not the water being off that's the problem it's when the water comes back on along with sand that blocks and eventually causes leaking valves. Note, I live in a small rented house, one of 3 and where the owner has his own house. House is outside of a small town. I use my own 5 litre water bottles filled at a friends water selling plant at a cost of 5 baht per bottle, delivery 32 bottles as and when req, so when water is off can use for drinking and shower (( if need be ).

Thanks G Rex. Many thanks for info. Should make clear that they are a friends ( who cares for the dogs and the family who dont care much ) so I spend time walking them etc. The white dog is older but lives at same house, sometimes friend of the black one depends of situation. There is a third 20kg lovable dog who protects the black one. Dog is the black one centre of picture. The white dog is his friend and there is also a third dog not in picture He has what I would call "kinky back" and when he lays down he lays on his belly rear legs spread behind him. His brother died within a few days of being born his mother a few days later from brain worm. Will take him to the animal hospital in Khon Kaen, have to wait for car transport. For now he is being kept inside house / yard and being visited. Not worried over treatment cost, do you have any idea how long the dog needs to spend at hospital if teeth are removed ? Treated another dog some years ago for something and she was in a couple of nights.
