  1. Here are some of the best ways to kill and repel ants naturally using ingredients found in the home or at a local store. Diatomaceous earth (silicon dioxide) ... Glass cleaner and liquid detergent. ... Ground black or red pepper. ... Peppermint. ... Tea tree oil. ... Lemon eucalyptus oil. ... Oil of lemon eucalyptus (OLE) ... White vinegar.
  2. "Occupied" tv series ( 2015 ) from Norway available on Dailymotion
  3. OP - Thanks will have a look
  4. Should those with pacemakers be concerned ?
  5. OP - many thanks Gaccha for details. I found that logging in to my email account via Google browser worked whereas other browsers still give the 403 warning message. Kino have 2 of the 4 books I am looking for the other 2 are 2nd hand only and may not be available.
  6. OP - could you please give me the email address you used ? I used to have monthly updates of books from them sent to my old email address, I advised them of my new address but heard nothing more from them. Like you I enjoy old books which are often not in stock
  7. OP - sorry spely incorrectly here but spelt correctly when I have tried to go to their site online
  8. I used to buy books online from Kinkuniya. I am trying to send them an order as I don't live in Bangkok but get a "403 Forbidden" message whichever browser I use. Does anyone know why this should happen ? Does anyone have a contact address for them or a suitable alternative book store ?
  9. My daughter took a large dog and a cat back to UK many years ago at that time all animals go into special cages, and certainly not in the cabin. I am sure it is the same now. You need to check what health certificates are needed too. Dogs may be given something to help them relax, you need to discuss with vet. Your GF must surely realise that some people are allergic to animals. what does she do if the dog wants to pee, take it to the passenger toilet or open the door and tell it to pee outside ?
  10. Can an important document sent by EMS be delivered to a PO Box ? My house which is outside of a small town is in a group of 4 including owners, in a normal gated compound The post delivery box is at the main gate and in rainy season tends to get wet.
  11. I take a dog to KKU Veterinary Hospital for cancer treatment including chemo every Saturday which takes up most of the day. I can ask my friend who drives me to KK to look after the dog Saturday morning whilst I go for appointment but it's a 5 hour wait for the dog which is very tiresome. Guess its Friday
  12. Many thanks Sheryl for your comments. Saturday mornings would normally be great but, at this time, I am taking a 2 year old dog to KKU Veterinary Hospital for cancer treatment which includes chemo so, it takes much of the day. May be able to get the person who drives me there to look after the dogon their own while I go for my own check and treatment but, it means waiting around for blood test results which means about 5 hours before chemo is given. Will see if I can get a daytime visit for Friday.
  13. OP - Thanks Sheryl for your comments. I go to KKU regarding my pacemaker every few months. I use public transport from Banphai - train ( cleaner etc than the bus ) - as dont have a car, this of course limits time I can spend at the hospital. Perhaps I could get a Saturday morning appointment ? I have a friend who can come with me.
  14. OP = many thanks for your comments. I use public transport so would be train from where I live to KK and back ( cheaper, quicker, cleaner ). I have someone who can come with me. Big differences in prices !
  15. The series I have recommended "Occupied" from Norway with good subs and English when spoken. It is about an oil crisis in Europe and a new form of energy that is thought to be able to produce in existing systems. Norway's oil rigs become taken over by Russia in a roundabout way. etc The series is from 2015.
  16. I had skin cancer of the head and was treated many years ago in Bangkok. Eventually it was cleared using freezing and removal and I had no further issues until late last year. Signs of possible cancer are similar but not the same as before again on head and also face. Now living some 50km from Khon Kaen can anyone recommend a good hospital there ( i.e. KK ) ?
  17. This film if I remember correctly was in the Bangkok Film Festival many years ago
  18. Doesn't the agent have the option to return the new passport to you by EMS ?
  19. Watching TV series from Norway - "Occupied" a series from 2015 and perhaps very relevant with the current situation over Ukraine and Russia

  21. During hippie trail days of the 60s - 70s books were often exchanged with people you met along the way. Unfortunately library's in Thailand seem to be few and far between and limited readership. I offered my read books to the local library - not interested; offered farming technical books to KKU - not interested ... Bangkok used to have good book fairs in the years 2000>>> not sure if they still did before Covid. Back in the 80's I worked in farming in Saudi used to go back to UK every 3 months and pick up books I ordered. Khon Kaen had a book fair a couple of years ago, mainly school books and just one guy with a hundred or so pretty unreadable old books.
  22. In Banphai branch only one lady seems to have enough English, mind you there are only a very few falang here
