  7. Phue Thai MP Weighs in on Digital Wallet Scheme BANGKOK (NNT) - A Member of Parliament (MP) from Pheu Thai Party has indicated that the government program to provide a 10,000-baht stipend through digital wallet is completely separated from the initiative to create a cash circulation system through blockchain technology. 8. BANGKOK (NNT) - A Member of Parliament (MP) from Pheu Thai Party has indicated that the government program to provide a 10,000-baht stipend through digital wallet is completely separated from the initiative to create a cash circulation system through blockchain technology. MP Worawat Ear-apinyakul from Prae elaborated on the issue. He urged the public to consider the end results of similar government programs like universal healthcare, the Village Fund, and OTOP (One Tambon One Product). The MP argued that the government is not simply giving away free money. Instead, it aims to incentivize investments, thereby stimulating the economy in a closed system that controls monetary expenditure. The ultimate outcome will be tax revenue for the government. On the topic of government funding, Worawat pointed out that there is an annual surplus of 4.8 trillion baht outside the government’s regular budget. The real question is how and when the government will choose to distribute this wealth into the financial system for the benefit of the public. Worawat expressed confidence in the Pheu Thai Party’s economic team. He believes they are capable of finding the right moment to implement policies like the issuance of 50 million rai of land titles, which could add an additional 5 trillion baht of financial security. With projects aimed at increasing citizens’ income through job creation and raising OTOP workgroups to industrial levels, he is confident that prosperity will reach the public within four years. Lastly, the MP emphasized the government’s focus on tourism as a primary goal to boost the economy. He is optimistic that the government can efficiently resolve the country’s economic issues. 16. Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt said today (Monday) that he has no objection to night entertainment venues staying open until 4am, but the zoning system must be updated to ensure that noise from such venues will not cause a disturbance to people in the same neighbourhood. Admitting that some pubs and bars are still operating illegally beyond the current 2am time limit, he said that making all the night spots comply with the law, by allowing them to stay open until 4am, would be more logical and orderly. The governor said that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has discussed the issue with the strategic committee on soft power and has proposed that both of them should work together to develop measures to prevent underage people from accessing the entertainment venues. 20. Hamas is a radical Islamic terrorist organization, that has openly declared its intention to destroy Israel. They are heavily supported by the extremist Iranian regime which supplies them with weapons, training and funds. Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization by numerous countries, including the United States, all member states of the European Union, Canada, the UK, Australia, and many others. On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a massive, monstrous, unprovoked attack on the civilian population of Israel during the Jewish festival of Simchat Torah. This ongoing assault has seen hundreds of terrorists infiltrate Israeli territory by land, air and sea, specifically targeting Israeli civilian communities near the Gaza Strip. More than 3,500 rockets were launched at towns and cities across the country, with the explicit aim of causing harm to innocent civilians. According to medical authorities, the tragic toll stands at over 1,200 lives lost, with thousands more suffering various degrees of injuries. Additionally, at least 400 individuals have been classified as missing or taken captive by Hamas, forcibly transported to Gaza. Regrettably, it is anticipated that these numbers will continue to rise. Tragically, among the casualties, there are several foreign nationals, including 22 Thai workers who lost their lives, several who sustained injuries, and an unknown number of workers who were kidnapped and taken to Gaza.
