I'm really over old idiots in Thailand
Airalee replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Pick better friends and keep the toxic ones either at arms length or out of your life completely. No need to join the perpetually offended and try to change someone so set in their ways and think that they’ll get over their hate no matter their age. -

Yup…same in Los Angeles -

CBD oil and CBD isolate is so much cheaper and more easily available in countries like America that there really is no reason for it to even be a tourist draw. It’s almost like having “Centrum Vitamins” tourism and making it illegal for a person to bring their own bottle.- 31 replies

Without knowing the exact location of the house and seeing pictures of it (a million baht buildout is nothing special) arguing over the rental value (which I too would bet isn’t 40k) and sales price is an exercise in futility. So…without explicit details and photos, which the OP is unwilling to provide, this thread is useless.

Just looked at all the hotels I have stayed in in the past in Krabi, Koh Chang and Huahin for October. All 3-4 star hotels. Still pretty close to lowest prices I have ever seen. Maybe there is something special about Pranburi?

There are almost 50 currently planned studies around the world regarding the use of Ivermectin for Covid. Why don’t you let the scientists do their work and stop being a denier? Hope is a good thing. Fear is not. https://clinicaltrials.gov

You seemed to omit some relevant information from the NIH article. Basically, they seem to say that more trials are needed and that there are currently some ongoing and that they can neither recommend for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of Covid 19. Of course, I’m not talking about “horse dewormer” as people seem to parrot again and again and again. There is insufficient evidence for the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel (the Panel) to recommend either for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19. Results from adequately powered, well-designed, and well-conducted clinical trials are needed to provide more specific, evidence-based guidance on the role of ivermectin in the treatment of COVID-19. https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/therapies/antiviral-therapy/ivermectin/

It appears as if different studies come to different conclusions. Perhaps in the future we will know more.

That’s fabulous, but why the need to go on and on about “animal ivermectin”? When I want beef, I buy a nice tenderloin. I don’t buy Alpo. When my Ivermectin was prescribed, it was done by a doctor….not a veterinarian or farm supply store. Stop with the conspiracy theatrics that it’s only an animal drug. Ivermectin (for human use) has been safely prescribed billions of times and has won a Nobel Prize.

Misleading evidence ends up on shady websites. Not pubmed. Nice try though.

This article (and other I was able to find) states that customs duty for watches is 5% https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG190717183018849 If it is sent in the same way Amazon ships goods to Thailand, which appears similar to how yours was sent, the customs duty is prepaid and should arrive at the destination with no additional duties/taxes due.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34145166/ Conclusions: Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.

That’s certainly a major part of it. Just like with educational loans. I just didn’t feel like writing a thesis. -

Your whole post was one of the must succinct regarding economics. I studied the US housing bubble in depth from 2004 until the big crash in 2009(ish). I feel that it was set up to fail with the stated income (“liars loans” as we housing bubble bloggers called them) and negative amortization. As soon as the loan documents were signed, the borrower was in trouble as the loan would recast into a fully amortizing payment before the loan prepayment penalty would expire which would have required the borrowers to bring money to the table before the loans were allowed to be paid off. And being that many borrowers were mortgaging 100-120% LTV, there was no way they had those additional funds. Subsequently, the help that was given to the now underwater borrowers was just another scam to convince the owners to refinance out of a non-recourse purchase money mortgage (in many states such as California) to a full recourse loan. So, going beyond the banks wanting to lend and the borrowers wanting to own a home…I feel that the banks gave the borrowers enough rope with which to hang themselves (purposely?) and then, rather than letting said borrowers die, they just loosened the noose just enough to ensure that the borrower was now hooked into a lifetime of debt servitude. -

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/03/us/coronavirus-booster-shots.html?smid=tw-share “WASHINGTON — Top federal health officials have told the White House to scale back a plan to offer coronavirus booster shots to the general public later this month, saying that regulators need more time to collect and review all the necessary data, according to people familiar with the discussion. Dr. Janet Woodcock, the acting commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, and Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky, who heads the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, warned the White House on Thursday that their agencies may be able to determine in the coming weeks whether to recommend boosters only for recipients of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine — and possibly just some of them to start.”

I do have the time to wait. I’m ok with that. And seeing as the science changes so frequently, I (nor anybody else) don’t have a “pretty good idea what works and what doesn’t. We have already seen that what was thought to have high efficacy levels actually doesn’t. Time will tell if the mix and match method is better or perhaps even some tweaks to the original vaccines are in the future. I’m not sure why everybody seems to feel the need to say “horse parasite drug” when referring to ivermectin. Many drugs are used for both animals and humans. I’m pretty sure that the doctor who just prescribed me some ivermectin as a “just in case you come in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid” prophylactic, didn’t order it from an equine supply store. If a well respected pulmonologist feels that it’s ok to use then why not? Trotting (pun intended) the “horse medicine” line doesn’t bolster your argument nor make anything else you say sound more convincing….especially when I hadn’t even mentioned Ivermectin. But you just had to get that in there? Up to you. Your body, your choice. I hope all goes well for you.

All those links are to the same preliminary study which is neither peer reviewed nor does it consider long term effects. I’m not anti vaccine…but when it comes to mixing up a cocktail of different vaccines, I think I’ll sit this one out until time has proven the efficacy and safety of it.

Have you changed your mind on the COVID Vaccines?
Airalee replied to Chomper Higgot's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior? Who are you going to vote for in the upcoming election? Are you a vegetarian or a meat eater? Have you gotten the jab yet? I’ll take “conversations not worth having” for $1000 Alex.
