Sadly, you discovered everything is a BIG rip off in Thailand, but at least you now know.  Many still see it as retirement Hedonism.

    Maybe for you.

    Mike 787.

It is all much much less of a rip off for many, including me.

Sex, golf, food, apartment much much less then my home country.

This place is cheap and still considered as one of the least expensive places in the world to live by most publications.

Not a BIG rip off at all.  Unless, a person is stupid enough to allow themself to be ripped off.

This place does it right for me crunchy topping, not too sweet filing, crust is lite.

    In Nimman area.

    Pie and Cappuccino 145 b.

She's lying. I get only nods, winks and smiles from the ladies when standing on the Skytrain proudly showing my massive erect penis bulge.

I knew a guy who would wear loose shorts with no underwear and rode the skytrain during peak crowded hours, purposely rubbing up against ladies backsides.

True story, but has got to be some type of crime here I would think.

Things are always changing. But the bigger question is how are your changing with the way things are changing. Can you take the change in stride? Or are you stuck in your old ways? Are you angry, sad, morose? Or are your happy and joyful? The only thing constant in life is change.

    Brilliant!

Should be the header of every TV thread.

To add, no it seems most cannot adapt to change.  They live life with a "just leave me be" attitude with no forward thinking or adaptation abilities.  They seem to treasure the days when mommy took care of them.

GH  it is not in the cities that you should look. to me, those prices will always be overinflated and will not rise that much the market is over saturated.  The housing market in the BKK area is the outside areas like Pathum Thani.

I imagine that Pattaya is the same.  if you are buying to invest these are the areas the cost are cheaper and the demographic is like most western cities ow to move outside the city and commute

example gf renting a 1 bedroom flat for 3500 in BKK I am renting a 3 bedroom garden home for 5000.

The real joke is that it takes her longer to get to work from her apartment than it does from my house.

Thais have strange thinking on this.

They would rather commute 2 hours to save a few thousand b on their rent.  Rather then live closer to work.

No consideration on the cost of transportation, time, stress, etc.

With regards to Pattaya, I feel prices must come down in the coming years. From what I read many condos are of crappy quality with few exceptions. And in the past when looking for a decent but affordable condo to stay with my girlfriend, I visited many run-down condos that I was determined I wouldn't want to stay in. I feel many luxury condos might quickly detoriate as well in the coming years.

When buying a condo, it's probably wiser to buy an older one that seems to be well maintained, instead of a new one that looks good now.

I also feel that there's too many new projects going on, while many condos probably aren't half full (perhaps the rooms are all bought, but perhaps there are <50% of tenants at any time). I find that worrisome.

I should note I intend to buy a condo in Pattaya in the future as well, so perhaps in part the above is wishful thinking. Currently I don't have the money for it anyway, but perhaps in 2 years. But yeah, as someone else mentioned, Thai people are greatly in debt and they might want to sell some property to pay off debts in a new crisis.

12,000 properties for sale in Pattaya area.

And, the number keeps rising as stubborn sellers do not want to lose money.

Rents in many areas of Pattaya have actually gone down.

I would rent and put you money into a true investment.

Real Estate in Pattaya is a non transparent dead money mess.

I just feel that Thailand is slowly changing and becoming more westernised, which is a great pity.

    Slowly?

Seems it is quickly changing as is a place like Vietnam.

Most young people want to be or already joining the westernized social media lifestyles.

Dark sides defeats the purpose of staying in Thailand.  Not near the beach nor action.  Might as well be living in a shipping crate under a bridge in Jakarta.  Same view.  ????

    I do not disagree.

But many have the purpose of being here to live cheaply and quietly thus the Darkside may suit them fine.

I think the typical Malaysian middle-class earner would consider that amount to be not that much, considering that Malaysia is just a middle-income country. If really don't have the 800k, then totally deserved to be kicked out.

The median wage in Malaysia is less then 800 US a month.

That is not middle class as they would be on welfare and food stamps in many countries.

I bet the majority of Malaysia do not have even close to 800 k b saved and their monthly salary is way way below the 65,000 b required in Thailand.

So, seems Malaya is a poor country in my book with most unable to qualify to stay in Thailand.

  10. I hope they hit up The Base Condo in Pattaya next.

1000 rooms I bet more then half are daily ST rental.

And, I do believe all of it is hurting the hotel industry as they continue to complain about low occupancy.  All the while a Chinese who owns 20 condo properties is sitting in China collecting the money. Reporting no one, not paying taxes, breaking the law.

Blows my mind how much money (800/400K, etc) and effort people are willing to do to stay in Thailand.  Like a fugitive sentenced to Hell fighting to stay in Thailand (heaven), I too was one of those dumb idiots convinced of the same until time showed me the reality was NOT the Elysium I bought into.

So, sadly it was not affordable for you.

    Where are you now?

  12. I had one from a urologist surgeon at Bangkok Hospital.

He cut my sack to severe the vas deferenes.

It was painful stitches etc. for several days frozen peas and pain killers.

I went back in about a month or so and had to masturbate into a cup to confirm no semen.

The sexy nurse would not come into the room with me so I used my phone. ???? Just sayin...

I would do it again as I want no babies.

But, have to admit not a pleasant experience.

I think I paid around 10,000 b and this was several years ago.
