Crime AI Police Robot Helps Catch 14 Criminals in Thailand
Dionigi replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think that is an Ai depiction. If it works from cctv and drone footage, it could be anywhere and just be a computer mainframe. -
Most doctors are not scientists. Doctors are not the ones who test drugs scientists are who then inform doctors. Too many doctors listen to untested theories, that is why we have homeopathy, holistic medicine and herbalism touted by doctors. The sooner Ai replaces them the better.

London Marathon Upholds Trans Inclusivity Despite Supreme Court Ruling
Dionigi replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Allowing transgender people to compete is inclusivity. Allowing them to compete against natal women is discrimnation. Give them a class of their own, trans females in one class and trans males in another.- 60 replies

Traffic Pattaya's New Parking Rules: A Bid to Untangle Congestion
Dionigi replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
car parks, car parks, car parks, Provide parking spaces and efficient public transport otherwise people will street park. You cannot make your car just disappear it has to be parked somewhere. At least shopping malls and supermarkets, generally realise this, even newer 7-11s are being built with car parking facilities. Why can't the council build them? -

The Anglicisation of France: A Language Under Siege by Its Own People
Dionigi replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Some French people have a desire to freeze their language, little understanding that languages evolve over time. That is why English has so many French words, and Scandinavian words and Arabic words, in fact any that we could use and co-opt. -

You mean revert atheist, everyone is born an atheist. -
Having people attend a centre for 38 hours a week, weaving rugs or some other task for which they are capable, would drastically reduce the number of people who claim benefits. Where is the incentive to go back to work if you are given money to live on and can do what ever you like during the day. Lots of them just fill pubs and betting shops or sit around and talk with their friends.

Parking Chaos in Pattaya Ignites Local Outrage Over Vanishing Pavements
Dionigi replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Thai people can, they park everywhere else. I have said that many times that Pattaya is in need of car parks and public toilets it just runs through my head like a mantra -
Dark skin shows your class, people work outside are low class, and people who do not have to toil under the sun are higher class. When it comes to helmets it is a matter of either cost, low income cannot afford, or I am never going to have an accident why do I need a helmet, and I only ever travel in town at low speed, or I am young and don't care. When the helmet law was introduced in the UK there was a large number of protesters, who did not see why they should be forced to wear a helmet when they did not want to. The same happened with seat belts., only strict enforcement made people comply with the law. Thailand does not enforce its laws except when an edict from on high is given and that soon peters out.

Thailand Chooses Cities for Future Casino Complexes
Dionigi replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Casinos are money laundering heaven, no way of knowing how much money is passing through, customers can walk away with cash, money taken in can be sent to the banks and washed. no one to ask where the money came from in the first place. -
that is exactly the point. Travelling at the speed of light, from our nearest neighbour, would take two and a half years to reach here. If Einstein is correct, and so far it has not been disproved, then any traveller moving here would arrive back many years after his children had died. Seems a waste of time. If we wish to travel in the realms of science fiction and use faster than light travel, then they may be here but so far there is no indication that they have been here except for poor images that cannot be explained. Not knowing what some thing is does not automatically make it an alien vessel.
