If you go back before the re entry permit expires you should be fine.

Have the operation done in a hospital and pay for the 1 night stay in hospital as opposed to having the op and going home 2 hours later .Most clinics you have the op and go home after. http://lelux.co.th/en/2016/08/breast-augmentation/

lol you're missing the point which is Thais cannot stand people dressed shabby unshaven unsmiling so of course they accept the notes which are fine but time after time will automatically reject any note not up to standard
I have just one note rejected closing in on 30 years and that single note to be fair had been ripped in half and sellotaped back together. The booth around corner immediately changed it anyway.
I never dont walk around shabby unshaven or unsmiling. Am not joking. Am surprised people are not aware
I notice you live in Rochester ! What part of Thailand is that ? Maybe if you lived here your reply would be based on fact and not the holiday experience 555

Rest assured it is !
Banks are in business and do not give a crap about what you look like! They are there to make money.
You seem to think you have more fashion sense , style, self importance and worth to Thailand than us people who have had notes rejected without knowing how we dress.

Over the years I have had many notes refused due to biro pen marks and tears etc.
When I take cash from UK n2ow I always check the notes first.

or by removing your posts, do you even live in the south? You want to summarize two years of work by members of the southern forum into "you guys are idiots this is all central Thai" and then move the thread to another forum where we'll likely run into more 'help' like you are providing?
I think this thread would benefit by you outlining what is not southern Thai, back up your comment man!
555 bit of an over reaction to someone who only discovered this thread yesterday and has spent quite a bit of time compiling a list of the words which have been posted that are spoken throughout Thailand and not specificaly used only in the south.
I made a genuine suggestion as there are some very advanced Thai speakers who post on the Thai language thread and thought they could be of help.
No I do not live in the south.,I previously lived in Samutprakarn but now am living in Issarn. My comment was based on the fact many of the words posted are used also in central and north east Thailand.
You appear to be one of those people who think they are fluent in a language but quite clearly are not as you throw your toys out of the pram as soon as someone has an alternate view to you.
Where did I suggest you were all idiots ? 555 Talk about toutchy 555.
Shame I wasted my time compiling a list of words that I was about to post in reply to you asking for examples.

I think this thread would benefit from being transfered to the Thai language forum.
-
I have read through all the posts on this thread and the majority of the words posted are just standard conversational Thai and not specific to southern Thailand.

If they are from Issarn (aka Nakhon Nowhere) I would expect them to say lawn with an ล. The (so called) educated / big city folk say rawn with an ร.
If they were from Issarn they would say ฮ้อน .

Makes for an expensive visa.
No it is very cheap , 1900 baht per year. And the money in the account is a good back up for unexpected medical problems and reasurrance that I do not have to worry about my future.

and... what's your point?
My point is keeping money in a bank in Thailand or the UK the interest rate return is about the same,so I keep it here to enable me to obtain my annual extension without any worries.
People who keep their money in banks here are no worse off than keeping it in a bank in their country of origin.

So you didn't try well, and writing it on this forum as LAWN is clearly an evidence.
R exists in Thai, and only some uneducated people cannot say it, so please ask to some correctly speaking Thai to say it for you. This is a super easy word to say.
Nonsence , pronouncing ร as ล has nothing to do with be uneducated.

I do not understand how people think that it is a bad deal. All that is needed to relocate and retire in Thailand is 800 000 baht in a Thai bank account.
Thai people have to me much tougher requirements even to get a visa for a short holliday.
Why are people so arrogant that they think they are entitled to get something for nothing ?

I never said I was perfect so I've no need to worry about throwing stones in a glass house. There are 2 genders/sex, men/male & woman/female, that's a biological fact and so if a man thinks he's a woman or a woman thinks she's a man, then clearly they have mental health problems and as such it would be great if society could help them with those problems, no?
Brigante7.
You do not seem to know too much about biological facts. Never heard of Hermaphrodite?
Maybe the people with mental health issues are the ones who are completely bigoted about anything they cant understand.

I keep 800,000 baht in a Thai bank for my retirement extension and the interest rate is as good as the rate if I kept it in a UK bank.

Not that I would be advising the IO to do such a thing if online reporting is available.
Due to my Fathers poor health I left Thailand many times during the last year and never made a single 90 day report. The reporrts are for if you stay 90 days not less and leave the country.
I never received a fine or warning when renewing this year.
Why would there be a fine for using the multi re entry permit that I have?

In my village the person delivering the PEA bill can be paid in cash and the same with the person reading the water meter.

Absolutely absurd. Another fine example of lunatics running the asylum.
Let's see. Have a house. Have a wife (Thai). Have a kid (Thai). Sure why not just tie the money up in a bank which will profit from my money rather than spending it on my family. I'm not retired here, I work here but this is complete <deleted>.????
Exactly you work here. I do not , I am retired. I planned my retirement and have enough money to spend on a new car ,holiday abroad and on our family. What is your point? I am retired and you still working? 5555

But personally, I think your 'sample' is a little skewed or you hang out with the more unsavory brand of expats.
No I do not hang out with them,I just talked with them when I was there. I am honest and do not bulshit, just tell it as it is.
Many of them have enough money they just choose to pay an agent to get their extention and even their 90 day reports!

Notice I say evidence as opposed to "I heard this guy in a bar say that his fiends's friend had abused the system". It doesn't make sense at all and you know it. It's just a big cheese trying to make a bigger name for himself while all the real problems in this country go unsolved. Farang are a very easy target.
When I lived in Pattaya I only knew one expat who had a legit extention of stay all the others used an agent and had no money in a Thai account.

I agree even at the UK poor exchange rate it is a small amount if you are a genuine retiree that can afford to live abroad.
The interest rates are better than the UK in fact much better at the moment.
The rules are virtually unchanged in fact you need the money in the bank so you could move most of it out if you wanted for 7 months, instead of 9 if you can prove it came from abroad when topped up.
This should stop a lot of the fraud with retirees, which perhaps they should prosecute for using false declarations?
Top Man!
