  1. Their leaders are also brainwashed. It’s a problem that’s apparently contagious. Have you seen what’s happening in Europe lately? Millions of migrants, wreaking havoc. Another symptom of the disease. I wonder when they’ll wake up? Those of us in Thailand are lucky this place is still safe. When I get back to Pattaya, it’ll be time for my 90 day report. Maybe they should try enforcing immigration laws elsewhere in the world. It seems to work.
  2. The Olympics runs the games, to be sure, but if you ask me, there isn’t much to sort out. If they’re going to have women’s sports, then have them. But don’t pretend that’s what you’re doing if anyone can be a “woman.” That’s fantasyland.
  3. You’re brainwashed. It’s not your fault. The propaganda machine works 24/7 and it’s very effective. And so many people automatically assume the West can’t possibly be at fault and automatically assume Putin is the culprit.
  4. That news came out the other day. Whatever a person does in their private life is fine with me. But women’s sports were established for a reason. Biological females cannot compete with biological males. How is that so hard for some people to understand? Apparently, in the delusional world of the “woke” crowd, if a biological male decides he’s a woman, then that settles the matter. And so the biological females lose out in the sporting arena. Nonsense.
  5. Many people seem to be brainwashed. Also, many people seem to think all of the actors orchestrating this mess will always act in a rational manner. And yet the brainwashed people don’t realize they’re brainwashed, and, if history is any guide, rationality is not always present. It’s all a recipe for disaster. Of course Russia will act in self defense. They haven’t made that a big secret, and they have the capacity to do so. And yet the brainwashed idiots in the West are proceeding as if they believe their own propaganda. Russia is evil! Putin is a madman who wants to reassemble the old Soviet Union! I could go on. Perhaps the USA should rethink its foreign policy. It’s no longer 1960 and Khrushchev didn’t just bang his shoe on the table at the UN. The world has changed. America and the influence of the West has faded. American exceptionalism? Just a slogan. We now live in a multi polar world. Pretending otherwise isn’t so smart. What has been accomplished lately? Decades of Neocon wars with nothing to show for them. Trillions wasted. And much of the world is now aligning against the West and its banking system. Militarily, they are forming alliances. How is any of that a positive development? Imagine the situation as it stands. China could invade Taiwan at any moment. The Middle East is about to ignite. And the situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate. The West can’t fix any of these problems, and yet they’re proceeding as if they can simultaneously win a war with China, defend Israel, and defeat Russia, all with a small military. And where is the President of the United States? Lying on a beach somewhere. Who is calling the shots?
  6. Putin is scheduled to address Russia and the world. That should be interesting. Maybe he can put an end to this nonsense. The West surely hasn’t steered interested.
  7. It works both ways. Perhaps the West could have decided otherwise over the years? Why the animosity towards Russia? The US foreign policy is to continually pressure Russia. But Russia actually does have a legitimate security interest in the area. Imagine that Russia or China or some other foreign power decided to form an alliance with Mexico and station troops and military equipment on the border with the U.S., including offensive weapons capable of delivering nuclear weapons. I’m pretty sure the U.S. wouldn’t like that. Do you know what’s in San Diego? From Tijuana it’s a very short drive to the Naval facilities and the Naval Air Station on Coronado. Anyway, NATO’s usefulness as a defensive pact ended long ago. Now what is it? An offensive alliance for the purpose of threatening Russia?
  8. Sure. That’s rational point of view. I just happen to think there’s a small group of people currently driving US foreign policy that are delusional. They live in a bubble of sorts, and seem to believe all their own nonsense. And they are egged on by some of the best lobbyists in the world who work for the defense industry. And, as crazy as it may seem, the only thing those people care about is money. And to that end, we now have a continual state of war in the world. Usually, it’s against nations and groups who can’t really put up much resistance. But Russia does not fit into that category. They have more nukes than the USA, and if they face an existential threat, they will surely use those weapons. And so they’re now rolling the dice. It’s all crazy and all very much unnecessary.
  9. I’ve had a few appointments in Bangkok, but aside from the recent surgery I had which was covered by BCBS for direct payments, I usually just pay the bill and forget about it. They always give me the claim forms, but I’ve never bothered to fill them out. Usually, the amounts are small. 3,000 to 5,000 baht or so. Anyway, if you switch companies, make sure you thoroughly investigate whether they cover overseas claims. That may not be 5he case with every option.
  10. For years, Putin has been warning about the expansion of NATO to its borders. And yet that’s exactly what has happened since the breakup of the Soviet Union. That, and the meddling of the West in Ukraine in 2014. Additionally, Russia was concerned about the Russian speaking people in the Donbas region. Allegations of genocide and so on. And so Russia finally had enough and invaded. Anyway, this entire situation could have been avoided.
  11. That’s all very rational, to be sure. Unfortunately, the U.S. warmongers and Neocons seem to be devoid of any common sense. They are delusional. And so anything can happen.
  12. And Russia has the means to destroy NATO and America, with thousands of nukes left over. Too many of you guys seem to have ingested too much Western warmonger propaganda. It’s hard to believe, really.
  13. The “invasion” was a publicity stunt. Ukraine picked a poorly defended area of Russia. The primary purpose was to make an incursion into Russia. An opportunity to make some videos for publication. As for Putin seeming “helpless”? Do you not realize that Russia could reduce the entire country of Ukraine to rubble? But that’s not the goal.
  14. Yes. Ukraine is on the verge of collapse. And if you stopped reading so much propaganda, you’d know that. Let’s revisit the issue in a few weeks. And if we’re lucky, the nonsense will be over by then. If not, we’re all in trouble.
  15. If only it were that simple. Break out the popcorn and watch the world burn. I can’t even imagine that any part if the civilized world will be spared.
  16. In other words, you can’t formulate an informed response.
  17. And that’s a big problem, no? For the life of me, I’m not sure how WWIII sounds like a good plan to anyone. And yet that’s the warmonger dream scenario. America would be gone, Europe would be gone. Russia would be gone.
  18. Knowing how to optimize your health is one thing. Actually doing it is something else entirely, especially if you have no major health challenges. I’m 73, but all my bloodwork is always within normal limits. Cardiac is fine, blood pressure fine, weight normal. So for me, optimizing my health just means being at a point where I have more energy. Otherwise, there’s nothing I can pinpoint that anyone would say needed improvement. Anyway, diet has to be the major component of any health improvement effort. Proper diet, no or little alcohol, no smoking, and regular exercise.
  19. Why? Ukraine is out of soldiers. Most of them are dead or wounded and out of commission. They simply cannot achieve any kind of victory at this point. What’s next? NATO involvement? If you think there’s any way that makes sense, explain yourself. I’m assuming you don’t have a bunker to hide in during the thermonuclear exchange that would almost certainly result from such idiocy. So, tell us how WWIII makes any sense.
  20. Well, inasmuch as Ukraine cannot win this war, surrender is the only sensible option. Unless you somehow think WWIII would be a good thing. Of course, that seems to be exactly what the warmongers want. I wonder where they think they’re going to hide?
  21. The markets are still wildly leveraged. So that remains a problem. Let’s hope it remains just “problem.”
  22. As for the original question. Schwab has an international account. Look into that.
  23. The last time I looked, I think they gave you an option to switch back. There was a button to push, somewhere.
  24. I think any good modern computer will do. I haven’t used a PC for a long time, but the last time I was actively trading, I had a Mac Mini connected to two monitors, and I was doing the actual trades on an IPad Pro. Worked very well.
  25. It’s a slow growing cancer, usually, and if detected early, can be stopped. So, why not check? I know people who died from colon cancer. Totally unnecessary. Then again, maybe some of you have a death wish?
