I had this procedure done by the dentist in Central Festival Mall. The lady knew her stuff and did a very good job. Can’t remember how much.

You couldn’t make it up? Swiss Tony was a character in the UK comedy sketch programme called the “fast show”. His catchphrase
involved likening every activity to “... making love to a beautiful woman”
Worth a look on You Tube.

For £500 he’s made himself a laughing stock in his home town ... forever known as O’Malley the “Ting Tong” chaser.

Brexit has not happened yet those supporting remain refuse to consider it is membership of the EU that has resulted in the UK economic situation. I used to get over 70 THB to the £, now less than 40, all contributed to by the EU membership.
Nothing to do with EU membership. If that were true then GBP would have strengthened against the Baht after the Brexit vote? It fell at least 20%. The great rate you used to get was following the Asian financial crisis, when the Baht was hit hard.
A good Brexit outcome, preferably no Brexit, will see the GBP rate recover, a “no deal” fiasco will see it weaken further.
I think anyone from the UK living in Thailand or contemplating going to Thailand has to budget for 35 ... if you can cope with that rate you’ll be okay.

Could be worse, will be for the EU and Euro
I thought the EU was near collapse? Heard all this nonsense before ... the EU would be hit by a no deal exit, but nowhere near as intensely as the UK. Cold comfort.

A lot will depend on Brexit ... if that goes badly then it will get worse against the Baht, Euro and US Dollar.
If Article 50 is revoked you’ll be back to 50.

I’m in Cyprus currently, which is beneficial from a tax standpoint, as is Thailand. I’m not spending anymore, in fact with the Baht rate where it is I’m spending less. And I don’t have the hassle of having to jump through immigration hoops, or move around on visa runs, or deposit money in Bank accounts. I doubt France would be much more expensive, but the tax liability would put me off. Even in SE Asia there are plenty alternatives to Thailand. The problem for many expats is that they have commitments, with wives and children ... so don’t have the same flexibility.
if I return to SE Asia I’ll only pass through Thailand, there is no reason to stay long term.

This is just one aspect of the E.U. thatI am worried about. What direction do you think the Bureaucrats intend to take the people of Europe.
Remember that in 1975 we were assured that we we would be joining a trading block, and only a trading block.
The pertinent point is that no country would be compelled to join this army.
But say, for the sake of argument, the UK did? It would mean UK troops would spend less time fighting in America's wars. No bad thing.

It wasn't. They had nice cakes for about 60 baht, then one day changed the cakes to stuff with a lot more cream ( real or otherwise ) and the prices as well. They sit there for days on end unsold.
Bummer ... I've not been for a few years ... there's also a nice cafe/restaurant round the corner, a Christian Charity one ... I hope that's not changed?

If I found money in the street I’d probably just keep it, but if I saw someone drop money I would definitely give them it back. What that old guy did was despicable.
