I strongly suggest people click on the link and read the full article, which clearly states:

"The program will begin January 1, 2024 and apply only to tax residents in Thailand meaning tourists and short term workers will be exempt. Also exempt will be those who have been taxed in a foreign country that has a standing Double Tax Agreement with Thailand. "

There is then a link to show which those countries are. 61 countries listed, including US, UK, Australia and many European countries.

Is it possible that those in Thailand elite which is a tourist visa, do not pay taxes.  But those on a retirement or marriage visa will?

(For purposes of bringing in money for spending or even to put in the bank for income requirement)?

  2. IIRC from when I did this, some of the 'correct' answers were wrong and you had to put in the wrong 'answer' to get it marked correctly.

I missed one and got one point shy of perfect.  Staff were shocked I scored so high.

Note:  I did it in English.  Not sure if the problem exists in other languages.  And this was quite some time ago, so not sure if they updated their software.

    This is laughable.

MF will support a PM candidate that will not touch section 112. But we're willing to hamper their own PM nomination by insisting on section 112 amendment.

If amendment of section 112 is such  a principle stance within MF how can they support a PM candidate that has stated they will not touch section. 112

It's called politics my friend.  The one guarantee is that no politician will keep their word when their job is on the line.

The ones who would, sadly, are rarely the ones who get elected.

  4. Not an acoustic expert or audiophile.

I use Tidal with a pair of Sony noise cancelling in ear earbuds, with a Sony Xperia smartphone.

The audio quality was better than Amazon or YouTube, which I already paid for, so much so that I opted to buy the Tidal subscription.

I am content, other than Tidal keeps removing tracks from their offerings.

I have a phone app called ECAS into which I input the main meter reading every morning as I pass it to take the dog for his ablutions. I do the water as well.

I also have a unit in my Consumer Unit (fuse box for us oldies) which sends via Tuya,  total and instant consumption figures to my phone.

What unit did you put in your fuse box?  I might wanna try that

Recently acquired my third renewal, (now six years validity).

Rules are constantly changing, wanting the wife’s ID, the pink card or immigration residency letter, had neither, but still got both licences.

I now have the Pink card thanks to the DLT and it’s a very useful addition to the Yellow book.

My office told me they did not want the pink card, only passport.

Worst advice ever. Not only would he have to officially move his address to do that, but the 'dragon ladies' at the Jomtien and SriRacha Imm offices are probably even worse than this SamutPrakarn Immigration witch.

Used jomtien for years.  Never had a problem, except the guy at the entrance who likes to yell for no reason.
