  1. Lawyers in any country will squeeze what they can and an honest lawyer will advise you to avoid litigation. Try to mediate first, then if not, cut all connections with her, put a restraining order on her in the UK. Safeguard (hide) all of your UK assets, grab what you can and cut your losses with the Thai assets.
  2. Someone’s having a laugh if they think it’s 2,000 a day. The real number is probably 10 times that. Masks, closing bars, canceling events won’t make any difference.
  3. Simple solution is for apps change their rules to only accept orders that are paid for digitally by the customer's connected card as soon as they order.
  4. They're probably worried about covid. Try keeping your mask on.
  5. Take off your green-tinted glasses and educate yourself. https://www.psychiatrictimes.com/view/cannabis-induced-psychosis-review
  6. I love it when people make sweeping statements like 'nobody does that'. Your mind is, of course, the global database on drug-induced psychosis and crime.
  7. As sophisticated as the methods used on Koh Tao, no doubt. Innocent or not, they’ll pin it on him and he’ll either pay up or do time.
  8. He's Lithuanian, not Russian. Thai media mixed up his nationality by giving him a wrong name 'Mr Liternia' and this was repeated by the usual suspects in the English language media based in Thailand without checking.
  9. Here’s an idea - don’t walk into people’s legs.
  10. You mean 100,000 THB a month in expenses at least. x4 Thai staff, x1 foreigner salary, premises rental, submitting tax and paperwork several times a month.
  11. The commercial passenger department is overpriced, poor quality, corrupt and generally difficult to navigate the booking system. So it’s no surprise they’re losing money.
  12. Good to see those numbers going back up. The sooner the virus is endemic the safer everyone will be.
  13. Nobody is forcing anybody to buy tickets. What's the problem? Market forces will determine how many seats are sold.
  14. Amazing how many savings could be made by cutting out a few backhanders.
  15. Legal or not, most Thais will carry on wearing them, even through they don’t make any difference to whether or not someone catches the virus
  16. Crush the taxi mafia and their fixed prices. Apps = free market competition.
  17. For anyone reading this, here's some advice when booking a Thailand Pass: - Be as flexible as possible with your dates, just in case travel rules change or pass takes a while - Book a hotel with free cancellation as close as possible to the arrival date. If the pass hasn't arrived you can always change or cancel without being left out of pocket - Book plane tickets with flexible dates and free changes or cancellations. Emirates are pretty good for this and it's worth paying extra for flexible tickets. I was due to fly before Christmas but caught covid and had to change dates and airport from BKK to HKT, which was easy and free to do on their app - Use an agent to submit the application or fix an existing one. I used @ThaiVisaCentre to update mine and approval came within 24 hours. Pay a bit extra for the peace of mind knowing someone experienced is handling your application - Check and double check the documents while submitting
  18. If you are still waiting, I recommend the agent mentioned in previous posts. They sorted mine out in under 24 hours. Approval here now, so the peace of mind is well worth it for 3000 baht.
  19. Approval received within 24 hours of using this service to take on the case. Thank you for the recommendation. I recommend anyone using Thailand Pass do through an agent as the fee is tiny and well worth it compared with the stress of waiting and not knowing why, or if you have done anything wrong.
  20. How long before flying did they apply? Some people saying it seems to make a difference
  21. Yup, when someone finally answered they said they only dealt with ASQ
  22. I'll submit the application again. My flight and hotel dates are flexible and can be changed for free. Do you recommend pushing back the departure date to give more time for the application? I saw one reply that said the less urgent travel dates take longer to process. Even two weeks seems pretty urgent to me.
