  1. With all this warning to the world lets just get on and do it before Houthis hides too much of its arsenal. Sunak authorises British airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Red Sea One Whitehall source said the US-led response would be limited but significant, and was likely to involve British aircraft such as Typhoons based at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus. The co-ordinated strikes are expected to be similar in scale to those launched in April 2018 by the US, UK and France against President Assad’s Syrian chemical weapons facilities. They involved planes and missiles launched from ships against targets on land. Sunak told President Sisi of Egypt, a key ally in the region, that Britain would “continue to take action to defend freedom of navigation and protect lives at sea”. https://archive.ph/CAccZ https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/red-sea-rishi-sunak-cabinet-military-action-uk-us-houthis-5jt8vfjlv
  2. Israelis turn today for the defense case and its facts to be presented on the meritless case submitted yesterday by SA "Today we saw an upside-down world. Israel is accused of genocide while it is fighting against genocide," he added. "Israel is fighting murderous terrorists who carried out crimes against humanity." The US, meanwhile, said that it saw no justification for South Africa's allegation that Israel has committed genocide. "They are defending themselves against a still viable threat," said White House national security spokesperson John Kirby. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67942983
  3. No smear campaign against SA just the reality of its bias, this article from 16th Nov before it even decided to bring the case: South Africa's Government Is an Unapologetic, Shameless Proxy for Hamas and Iran A pornographic, sycophantic romance between government ministers and Hamas leaders, a warm embrace for Iran, explicit calls to attack Jews, our homes, our workplaces, our schools. We South African Jews wonder if our own government is inciting pogroms against us. Following the slaughter of more than 1,200 Israelis, most of them civilians, by Hamas terrorists, the kidnapping of 239 hostages into Gaza, and the onset of the latest Israel-Hamas war, there has been a sharp and frightening increase in antisemitic rhetoric and threatened violence around the world. But South African Jews are confronting a far more sinister and almost unique challenge: Our government has emerged as an unapologetic, shameless proxy for Hamas and Iran. https://archive.ph/QreGb https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/2023-11-16/ty-article-opinion/.premium/south-africas-government-is-an-unapologetic-shameless-proxy-for-hamas-and-iran/0000018b-d7d9-dffa-adef-f7d979970000
  4. What videos would that be then. They've not started presenting evidence yet.
  5. Nobody voted against the UN Security Resolution, I take it yours would have been the only one............... UN Security Council demands Houthis stop Red Sea attacks Jan 10 (Reuters) - The U.N. Security Council on Wednesday demanded Yemen's Houthis immediately end attacks on ships in the Red Sea and cautioned against escalating tensions while implicitly endorsing a U.S.-led task force that has been defending vessels. Eleven members voted for the measure demanding the Houthis "immediately cease all attacks, which impede global commerce and navigational rights and freedoms as well as regional peace." https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/un-security-council-demands-houthis-stop-red-sea-attacks-2024-01-10/
  6. Oh right, they haven't investigated but they would like to. Got it, thanks, however that's enough for your the theoretical basis for charging Israel with war crimes.
  7. yea ok.....lol How does that work out with the quote you posted and which is the part I highlighted and responded to? Starvation as a war crime has never been prosecuted, she says, but her organization has produced a report arguing it is happening in South Sudan and she wants her group to be allowed to conduct an independent investigation in Gaza."
  8. What charge, has their been an investigation completed?
  9. I wish the UN faced up to its own failures in this, or are they proud of their staffs work. Not surprising that they grew up to become terrorists. Editorial: Reform UNRWA, a renegade agency committed to hate What if a secretive United Nations organization existed that employed murderers and terrorists; that hired trained killers as school principals; that brainwashed children in Islamic fundamentalism; that ran a propaganda machine, using social media to encourage students to kill people just because they were part of a different religion? Such an organization exists. As detailed in this week’s Opinion page by Jerusalem journalist David Bedein, the agency is called the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, also known as UNRWA. Over the years, it has raised billions of dollars from Western countries, with the United States serving as the lead donor and patron. https://jewishjournal.org/2017/05/04/editorial-reform-unrwa-a-renegade-agency-committed-to-hate/
  10. mmm Good article my take is that provisional measures of some sort could well be issued by the court based on this. “It’s a low evidentiary threshold; you just have to show prima facie that what you’re saying is plausible,” explained Lieblich. The main event case which would be years away where it is more evidence based has no bearing on this first 2 days hearing. The Israeli ministers making those inflammatory remarks did not help at all. Its going to be a pollical witch hunt against Israel but should not affect the ongoing dismantling of Hamas.
  11. "Haaretz's false reporting that the prime minister said the deportation of Gaza residents is under consideration provided tailwind for South Africa’s baseless accusation" of genocide at the International Court of Justice. Haaretz Falsely Claimed Netanyahu Was Open to Deporting Gaza Residents; He’s Not CAMERA’s Israel office prompted the correction of a report in Haaretz‘s English edition, which falsely claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the deportation of Gaza residents is under consideration. But as Barak Ravid of Axios, and a former Haaretz journalist, rightly pointed out, Netanyahu did not say the deportation of Gaza residents is under consideration. Ravid correctly tweeted: That’s not what he said in the recording. He was talking about a deal of deporting [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar from Gaza in return for the release of the hostages as a way to end the war. https://www.algemeiner.com/2024/01/10/haaretz-falsely-claimed-netanyahu-was-open-to-deporting-gaza-residents-hes-not/
  12. The Israeli army took journalists to two towns in Gaza, highlighting the proximity of what it said was Hamas’s military facilities — including a rocket storehouse and a weapons plant — and nearby civilian infrastructure. The soldiers leading the tour said that the damage had predominantly been the fault of Hamas, both because the Oct. 7 raid forced Israel’s hand and because the group’s fighters had embedded in residential areas, using civilians as human shields. The Israeli army brought the journalists to Bureij and the neighboring town of Maghazi to try to emphasize that point. They highlighted the proximity of Hamas’s military facilities — including a rocket storehouse and a building that soldiers said was a weapons plant — and the nearby civilian infrastructure. Maj. Gen. Itai Veruv, a commander at the front, pointed out residential apartment blocks from which, he said, Hamas fighters had fired on the Israeli army and soldiers were forced to fire back at the buildings. https://archive.ph/cBDmO https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/09/world/middleeast/israel-military-gaza-ruins.html
  13. Not much fighting needed in this luxury house with pool, the cowards had left. This is how Hamas leaders live in Gaza - palaces with pools. This is the vacation home of Marwan Issa, deputy commander of the terror group’s military wing. Hamas has made its leaders rich while robbing the Palestinian people of an economic future.
  14. Update on this, they were on a double whammy, not only working for Al Jazeera but also now confirmed as on the payroll of Hamas. Just in time for the ICJ and South Africa's claims about killing journalists. Confirmed: journalists Hamza al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuria were members of Gaza-based terrorist organizations. On Jan 7, an IAF aircraft directed by troops targeted the operators of a drone, posing a threat to our soldiers near Rafah. The operators were later identified as al-Dahdouh and Thuria. Documents found by our troops in Gaza revealed Thuria’s role as Squad Deputy Commander in Hamas' Gaza City Brigade, as well as Al-Dahdouh’s roles in the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization’s electronic engineering unit and previously as a deputy commander in IJ’s Zeitun Battalion. https://twitter.com/IDF/status/1745177413565223266
  15. In giving political and legal cover to the October 7 Massacre and the Hamas Human Shield Strategy, South Africa has made itself criminally complicit with Hamas' campaign of genocide against our people. @AlJazeera
  16. Confirmed. A wind up troll post then.
  17. Why are you asking me that question? Do you not know or doing your usual childish game playing
  18. Blood libel in the Hague: Human rights attorney Arsen Ostrovsky dissects the legal threat “The claim by South Africa is completely without a shred of merit or any legal basis whatsoever,” says human rights attorney Arsen Ostrovsky, CEO of the International Legal Forum, an Israel-based NGO of lawyers advocating for Israel, in a conversation with Mishpacha. “Essentially, it is no more than a blood libel and act of lawfare, in which South Africa is willingly serving as pro bono counsel for the Iranian regime and Hamas.” Despite Ostrovsky’s contempt for South Africa’s case, he takes the charge very seriously. https://mishpacha.com/do-jewish-lives-matter/
  19. "Starvation as a war crime has never been prosecuted, she says, but her organization has produced a report arguing it is happening in South Sudan and she wants her group to be allowed to conduct an independent investigation in Gaza."
  20. They have yet to investigate that. Hardly have time to submit it tomorrow.
  21. Yes I know but this is topic is about the ICJ case
  22. US Secretary Blinken: "The charge of genocide [against Israel] is meritless. It’s particularly galling, given that those who are attacking Israel – Hamas, Hizballah, the Houthis, as well as their supporter, Iran – continue to openly call for the annihilation of Israel and the mass murder of Jews." https://twitter.com/Ostrov_A/status/1745024603599085765
