  1. Hopefully he'll manage to rise back up after this as I did enjoy his shows but that article was extremely offensive and he knows it. Jeremy Clarkson Has Sent Meghan And Harry An Apology Email 'I said I was baffled by what they had been saying on TV but that the language I'd used in my column was disgraceful and that I was profoundly sorry.' The statement goes on to say that he was 'mortified and so was everyone else', and even 'very close friends were furious.' As a result, Clarkson says he 'wrote to everyone who works with me saying how sorry I was and then on Christmas morning, I e-mailed Harry and Meghan in California to apologise to them too.' https://www.elle.com/uk/life-and-culture/a42523038/jeremy-clarkson-apology-email-meghan-harry/
  2. Nobody that respects human/child rights says that. Unfortunately its a problem not only in Congo mining but also in the oil industry outside of congo, not to mention clothing, shoes, carpets. Look it up. If you read the full link that was provided apart from the selected quote you can see what the EV car industry is trying to do about it.
  3. Her purse strings are not tightly drawn Greta Thunberg to donate one-million-euro humanitarian prize
  4. That about sums him up perfectly. On this case things are not looking good for him at all, in April the federal judge said “no reasonable jury could find Musk’s tweets on August 7, 2018 accurate or not misleading” He ended up paying $20 million to SEC but if found guilty here it could run into billions. Even the Saudi Investment company that he claims he had talks with have refused to attend the hearing. Time for pay back for the investors who have lost so much. The twitter investors must wish they could do the same. Elon has not only been deceiving his Tesla investors but in a separate case it was revealed yesterday, deliberately produced a staged video on the safety of the self driving ability of Tesla which is not just an investor problem but one that can lead directly to deaths.
  5. Wow the hate is real, Greta has done more than any of us to help change politicians and policy makers perspectives and attitude to a more sustainable future. I applaud her for that. Even though I don't always agree with some of her actions such as this one.
  6. From the OP article Nasa climate scientist "If we are unable to slow the warming of the atmosphere, we can expect to see more and more extreme events happening more and more frequently," Miner told the BBC, while surveying storm damage on a beach in Ventura. "And that's global. That's not just in California." Its possible, the world pulled together to reduce the ozone layer hole, a real scientific achievement that has avoided the catastrophic effects that would have occurred had it just been left to grow and grow. Tackling climate change is more of a challenge but even without some countries pulling their weight it is possible to slow and eventually reduce it, if you care about the future of humanity, your children and their children that is.
  7. Since when have the facts suddenly transformed into conspiracy theories. Read my initial post again. Jared is involved, the link provides evidence. How far he is involved is uknown unless an investigation looks at it.
  8. Trump's son-in-law tried to jump-start LIV media talks Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, called on one of his U.S. media connections to try to help the controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour secure a media rights deal. https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/SB-Blogs/Newsletter-Media/2022/08/15.aspx
  9. Wouldn't surprise me if Jared Kushner was slap bang in the middle of this, its was reported that LIV Golf had been leaning on him. $2 billion investment he received from the Saudi's for his private equity firm.
  10. I guess MAGA does not count for Trump on this occasion: "We welcome good, healthy competition," PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a news conference last week. "The LIV Saudi golf league is not that. "If this is an arms race and the only weapons are dollar bills, the PGA Tour, an American institution, cannot compete with a foreign monarchy that is spending billions of dollars to buy the game of golf." https://www.newsweek.com/luring-players-cash-saudi-backed-golf-tour-accused-sportswashing-1720751
  11. LOL, my post stands whether you like it or not and shows just how much over they pay the players and you would be foolish to claim they did not provide more to Trump than a normal PGA tour
  12. Oh yes, it provides life changing benefits for the players financially well above anything else available. LIV events will have a $25 million purse, with a $4 million winner's share. The events are shorter than the PGA Tour's (three days instead of four), and a season-ending team championship brings in a $50 million purse, according to sportswriter Robert Lusetich. Even the last-place finisher, who earns nothing on the PGA Tour, will get a $120,000 payout after playing an LIV event. Bryson DeChambeau, an eight-time PGA Tour winner received $100 million to join the LIV series.
  13. Latest Update from the UK Ministry of Defence which has reference to the strike on the block of flats at Dnipro and the false claim by Russia that a Ukraine air defence missile was responsible. (1/7) On 14 January 2023, Russia resumed long-range missile strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure, the first in approximately 15 days, launching tens of missiles. (2/7) As with the previous eight waves of strikes since 11 October 2022, Russia primarily targeted the Ukrainian electricity grid. (3/7) An AS-4 KITCHEN large anti-ship missile, launched from a Tu-22M3 BACKFIRE medium bomber, highly likely struck a block of flats in Dnipro city which resulted in the death of at least 40 people. (4/7) Russia falsely implied a Ukrainian air defence missile was responsible. KITCHEN is notoriously inaccurate when used against ground targets as its radar guidance system is poor at differentiating targets in urban areas. (5/7) Similar weapons have been responsible for other incidents of civilian mass-casualties, including the Kremenchuk shopping centre strike of 27 June 2022. (6/7) While some missiles such as KITCHEN are unsuitable for precision strike, evidence from the Ukraine war suggests that dysfunction of Russia’s long-range strike capability is more profound. (7/7) It highly likely struggles to dynamically identify targets, and to access rapid and accurate battle damage assessment. https://twitter.com/DefenceHQ/status/1615234018164760576
  14. Well, you asked and were given plenty of examples but they got deleted, so now you can live in your own echo chamber.
  15. Whats the chances of a 6 year old finding her parents gun unsecured! Not as uncommon as you may think. Here's another case from yesterday, luckily this time nobody was injured. "The mayor added: "I appreciate the quick action taken by the Beech Grove Police Department to secure the small child and the gun in question." Father arrested on live TV after toddler seen waving a loaded handgun outside their apartment A father has been arrested after a toddler was seen holding a loaded handgun outside their apartment in Indiana. Footage from a neighbour's security camera had shown the toddler holding the pistol in the hallway of the complex in the city of Beech Grove and at one point pulling the trigger. https://news.sky.com/story/father-arrested-on-live-tv-after-toddler-seen-waving-a-loaded-handgun-outside-their-apartment-12788446
  16. The latest demands from the Republicans is for the visitor logs from Biden's Delaware home........lol When will they realize just how hypocritical their rants are and how ignorant they are to procedure and applicable laws. VP's, ex VP's, Presidents or ex Presidents don't have visitor logs in their private residence. Even Mar-a-Lago has no visitor logs. White House says there are no visitor logs for Biden's home The White House has said that there are no visitor logs available for President Joe Biden's private home. Republicans have demanded to see the logs to his Delaware home after classified files were discovered there. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-64293743 "The White House does publicly release a visitors log on its website - a practice brought in during the Obama administration. It was paused during the Trump presidency and reinstated when Mr Biden took office."
  17. Maybe not for you. For others it can be more difficult dependent on risk levels as judged by police. That is fact.
  18. I gave a link to that and the additional changes. Plus the visits to home, the length of time but you already know that I guess so why did you respond to my post if my initial post already had all that info in it? Like I said, being easy is relative to what is actually required. For instance if you live in a high crime area a locked cabinet may not be enough. The police visit may look at other measures also necessary. Its not a one fits all situation. Individual circumstances apply at the descretion of the officer.
  19. But that's no different to Dec last month when Trump’s lawyers found more documents after searching four locations separate to MAL. The federal judge ordered his legal team to conduct these searches to make sure all documents marked classified had been returned to the government. Why are you focusing on this, why should Biden be treated differently? I never saw any outcry from the dems or media when that occurred.
  20. Firearms laws are regularly updated: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/firearms-licensing-police-guidance#changes-in-the-law From 1 April 2016, information sharing processes between GPs and police have been introduced to ensure that people licensed to possess firearm and shotgun certificates are medically fit. The Home Office guide on firearms licensing law contains a section on medical information, and the British Medical Association has issued guidance for GPs about firearms licencing. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/firearms-licensing-police-guidance#changes-in-the-law The Home Office has reached an agreement with the BMA (British Medical Association) and NHS Digital on a new digital marker for medical records, which will indicate that a patient is a certificate holder. If the holder’s medical condition deteriorates in a way that makes firearms ownership dangerous, the GP will be able to take the appropriate action. https://www.shootinguk.co.uk/shotgun-certificate-and-firearms-certificate/firearms-law-an-update-136501 Shotgun certificate – how to get one and how to renew one https://www.shootinguk.co.uk/shotgun-certificate-and-firearms-certificate/get-a-shotgun-certificate-32358 (this contains the points raised in my initial post)
  21. Being easy to get a legal shotgun license in the UK is relative to what you consider easy though right? Consider a few months application process time, a personal visit to your home from the police for an interview and home inspection including lockable firearms cabinet. A reason for the purchase, self defense is not applicable, proof of reason, ie sports, hunting etc. Direct contact by the police with your registered GP and full medical history, this also includes the GP having future contact with the police for any concerns such as stress etc. Full criminal convictions declaration and check, they do allow some convictions based on their assessment of your application. Of course then a professional referee willing to make a statement on your behalf. The only difference in the application for a normal firearm is having 2 referees. Gun shops will say its easy of course but its a long drawn out process that weeds out what I would call an easy purchase. Regardless, gun crime is very low in the UK so it must be working.
  22. Drive-by shooting at Euston church ‘linked to Colombian cartel’ A Colombian cartel “delivery man” who helped to flood the UK with cocaine was related to two women whose memorial service was targeted by a gunman, according to a report. It was suggested the gunman may have been targeting a guest in a revenge plot. Last night Scotland Yard said it did not discuss motives. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/drive-by-shooting-at-euston-church-linked-to-colombian-cartel-2896qbpnj https://archive.ph/gwdTk (no paywall)
  23. Of course its news spinning, making a claim with no link with the excuse that's its been deleted is worthless. Back in the real world: Ukraine unable to shoot down Kh-22 missiles, says Air Force Ukraine's air defense is unable to shoot down Kh-22 missiles, the type of missile Russia used in a recent attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Jan. 14, Ukraine’s Air Force Command said on Facebook on Jan. 15. Five Kh-22 cruise missiles were fired from five Tu-22M3 long-range Russian bombers during the Jan. 14 mass missile attack. Additional missiles were launched from Russia’s Kursk Oblast and the Sea of Azov. One of the Kh-22 missiles, which was launched from Kursk Oblast at about 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, hit a high-rise residential building in the city of Dnipro. https://english.nv.ua/nation/air-defense-cannot-shoot-down-russian-kh-22-missiles-ukraine-war-50297621.html
  24. Andrew Tate: Romanian police widen probe into controversial influencer Romanian police are expanding their investigation into former kickboxing champion Andrew Tate, seizing a fleet of luxury cars from his Bucharest compound over the weekend, and raiding seven more properties - including a newly renovated villa beneath the Carpathian Mountains. The sight of Mr Tate's shiny dove-grey Porsche perched delicately on the battered frame of a police tow truck neatly captured his shift in fortunes as, through the high black gates of his compound, a slow procession of trucks carried his prized collection of luxury cars to join him in police custody. Raids on seven more properties last week are widely seen as a sign that investigators are expanding their search for evidence in the case. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64285341
