  1. They are a great tank yes but there's not that many available for Ukraine. There are hundreds in storage that need refurbishment and that takes at least a year. Each country also needs to way up how many they need to keep themselves as protection. I've seen an estimate of about 330 would be the realistic figure available but in this post it gives a good breakdown of Europe's and NATO inventory of Leopards. https://www.iiss.org/blogs/military-balance/2023/01/ukraine-can-the-german-leopard-change-its-spots
  2. So the FBI and DOJ are not weaponized against Trump....mmm. Looks like those unsubstantiated allegations will have to be withdrawn
  3. Link to your claim that Obama took documents without permission?
  4. U.S. cable: Russian paramilitary group set to get cash infusion from expanded African mine The Wagner Group, a paramilitary organization linked to Russia, is expanding its mining projects in Africa to bring in millions to prop up its military operations in Ukraine, according to a Western official and a U.S. cable obtained by POLITICO. Over the past year, Wagner has significantly expanded its work in one country — the Central African Republic — where it could see mining profits soar to almost $1 billion, according to the official and the diplomatic cable. That funding will likely be used by the group to acquire new weapons and fighters, the official said. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/01/19/u-s-cable-russian-paramilitary-group-set-to-get-cash-infusion-from-expanded-african-mine-00078551
  5. There were never negations with the National Archives, their was deflection and refusal by Trump to return the documents, also known as obstruction, he even claimed there were none initially and at one point he even floated the idea to keep them until he was handed sensitive files that he wanted in a swap with the National Archives. Absurd. After Trump left the Oval Office, Trump's representatives were told by the National Archives general counsel Gary M. Stern to have the former president return the files in the boxes. Stern had a number of talks with the former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows about the files, along with three attorneys who had been employed in the White House counsel's office. Per the Times, Stern continued to push for missing boxes in September 2021, but Trump informed Meadows that they held only newspaper clips and other personal items. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-mar-a-lago-files-2016-fbi-russia-investigation-archives-2022-10
  6. "Many news reports about the case have mentioned the 1993 death of Brandon Lee, who was shot by a fellow actor holding a prop gun during the filming of The Crow in North Carolina in 1993, the shooting, which occurred during the character’s death scene, was ruled accidental." Alec Baldwin Manslaughter Charge Is a Stretch I have no particular reason to defend Alec Baldwin, but there’s something unsettling about the manslaughter charges announced this week in the wake of last year’s tragic shooting on the set of the movie Rust. The controversial actor was holding a prop gun that he thought was filled with blanks; a live round fired and killed a cinematographer. A horrific accident, yes. But a crime? Here, matters are murkier. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/alec-baldwin-manslaughter-charge-is-a-stretch/2023/01/20/983f0a22-98e2-11ed-a173-61e055ec24ef_story.html https://archive.ph/BwYgg (no paywall)
  7. A Soviet-era T-72 rumbles through woodland belching thick black smoke as it fishtails over the frozen mud near the battered Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. The tank is old - a relic from a time gone by - but it is nonetheless all the crew of the 24th mechanised brigade have to defend themselves against Russian aggression. With the whoosh of rockets and thump of artillery reverberating through the copse, the crew explains what they are up against and what they need to end this fight. "Tanks were created for supporting infantry, not for defence but for attacking, so for example to liberate our territories we definitely need tanks because it's like a fiery fist and a force to advance," Roman, the company commander, says. https://news.sky.com/story/ukraine-war-this-is-such-a-stupid-tank-commanders-plea-for-western-upgrades-12791111
  8. What's the point of all these comments from people who know basically nothing? Says you with your second comment on this OP. When you have nothing attack the posters and make unsubstantiated claims about them.
  9. The reality is not complicated at all. Its not about what the Russian people think. Russia has not been invaded illigally.
  10. I see a sovereign country illegally invaded with over 80% of Ukrainians supporting the defense and continued action. The action against the war crimes, murders, illegal annexation and torture of its own people. I see the West and Europe supporting them. Everybody wants peace and peace talks, not occupation.
  11. It is not clear to me what Selensky wants to achieve. Say's it all if you can't even work that most basic of facts yet.
  12. From the link: Poland's foreign minister criticised Germany's reluctance to send tanks. "Arming Ukraine in order to repel the Russian aggression is not some kind of decision-making exercise. Ukrainian blood is shed for real. This is the price of hesitation over Leopard deliveries. We need action, now," Its way past time for Europe to rely so much on the US, their Abraham tanks are better but too specialized and need lots of training, fuel and logistical support that Ukraine just does not have. The leopards were designed to take on the Russian T90's and are perfect. A lot of European countries have been doing what they can but this delayed decision by Germany is costing lives. There are countries waiting to donate these Leapords but have to wait for Germany's say so. This is beyond reason now.
  13. Greta Thunberg in Davos: It's absurd we listen to those causing climate crisis To open the discussion, Thunberg told the audience it is 'absurd' that in Davos 'we are listening to the people who are mainly causing the climate crisis, rather than those on the frontline'. She explained: 'We are being bombarded by messages by these people, those responsible for the destruction of the planet. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/video/2023/jan/19/greta-thunberg-in-davos-its-absurd-we-listen-to-those-causing-climate-crisis
  14. Pity the fine was not relative to his means. Still at least its now on record that Trump is officially: "a prolific and sophisticated litigant" who uses the courts "to seek revenge on political adversaries." "He is the mastermind of strategic abuse of the judicial process," he wrote.
  15. Putin: You have to pay for gas in Rubles. Europe...........naaaa no more blood money for you
  16. Child labour in smart phones to, how old is the one you have currently? Apparently that's not whataboutery for you.................
  17. Child labour is Child Labour in all forms but you don't deny it so we agree
  18. I was, now need to rethink suppliers............
  19. Pointless you're on ignore......................
  20. The Earth itself is King here, not you, me or GT, humans are a blip in the history of Earths story, get used to it.... Great way to deny what can be done. You should just tag that on all posts, your debate is over.
  21. Here's a couple more: Scientists now think the planet is facing a mass extinction Without Action on Climate, Another Mass Extinction Event Will Likely Happen in the World’s Oceans
  22. But it seems she knows what kind of nothing millions of people (all idiots?) want to see. Interesting. Interesting but sad.
  23. Ok good for you. My professional career in the UK encompassed it. There is always a reason that trigger such behaviours
  24. I never said anything specific about what she had done in China as she's not been there. However she does not have to go to a country when she can speak to them directly as she does in her speech's at the UN and other forums such as Davos where where she is now and so is President Xi, which is what I did say. Climate activists in China tend to get arrested, visa refused, young girls refused to be allowed to go back to school unless they stop, nationwide crackdowns on activism. Bit like asking why not go to North Korea I think she has been fairly busy doing what she can but feel free to tweet her and ask her directly.
  25. I didn't say she's been to china, if you press the back button you'll discover what I did say.
