  1. I agree but the full burqua is already banned in France so not an issue there
  2. I also agree, the crowd was out for blood and there are lessons to be learnt but that does not distract or excuse their actions or those who instigated it.
  3. There are no alternative arrangements the talks broke down days ago
  4. Perhaps Ukraine clearing sea mines in Russian controlled and blockaded waters maybe a tad risky, seeing as the Russians are well known for firing in humanitarian corridors. Just a thought. Joe's temp silos are just one initiative of many where they are attempting to facilitate the grain to be exported and to those who need it rather than being stolen or destroyed by Russia
  5. Russia blockading Ukrainian grain is a 'real war crime' - EU Russia's blockade of millions of tonnes of Ukrainian grain is a "real war crime", says EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell. "It is inconceivable - one cannot imagine that millions of tonnes of wheat remain blocked in Ukraine while in the rest of the world people are suffering hunger," Mr Borrell said. "We call on Russia to deblockade the [Ukrainian] ports." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-61864049
  6. Here's a Jewish swimwear style, not a lot of difference from the burkini
  7. The rule is that they can wear one if they want to, read the OP
  8. If you read my post you will see that I disagree with the persecution of muslim women by their own religion. This however is a simple distinction of allowing women to where a burkini in a swimming pool, the same rights she has to wear her normal clothing while out in public. I cannot see any justification for that discrimination
  9. What is? Allowing them to wear clothing while walking in the streets along with the burkinis while swimming? Sounds more like you'd prefer them not to be around at all, thats a different debate
  10. Its fairly logical to me, they are allowed to wear their clothing outside in public, why discriminate against them by trying to enforce rules when they go swimming? If you're of that mindset then complain about them walking around normally like this and call to ban them. I certainly understand those calling for a ban on full face coverings but this is nowhere near that level. Where I live in Phuket its common to see muslims wear burkinis at the beach or at one of the waterparks/pools. Its also just as common to see Thai's with full sleeve t shirts and long shorts or leggings. Long sleeve rash vests are also becoming very popular with all nationalities including my daughter who wears one to avoid getting sunburnt. Live at let live, if you've a problem with the male muslims and their doctrine against women's rights then I agree but lets not discriminate against them swimming and enjoying themselves
  11. Is it not just an extension of a normal swimming costume with added sleeves and leg covering made out of typical spandex or similar costume material? Killing the chlorine is a nonsense justification for banning them.
  12. Can't wait to see what rants Russian state TV comes out with after seeing this from the UK ???? British troops must 'prepare to fight in Europe again', army chief warns The head of the British army has told his troops they must "prepare to fight in Europe once again" in an effort to defeat Vladimir Putin's forces. General Sir Patrick Sanders, who took over from General Sir Mark Carleton Smith on Monday, warned soldiers about the challenges they faced amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. "There is now a burning imperative to forge an army capable of fighting alongside our allies and defeating Russia in battle," Sir Patrick said.
  13. Spain also feeling the effects. AP News Firefighters in Spain battle blazes amid unusual heat wave Firefighters in Spain on Sunday struggled to contain wildfires in several parts of the country, which is suffering a heat wave unusual for this time of the year. The worst damage has been in the northwest province of Zamora where over 25,000 hectares (61,000 acres) have been consumed, regional authorities said. A lack of rainfall this year combined with gusting winds have produced the conditions for the fires.

  15. You don't know, correct, that's why I listen tend to rely and get my information from people who study this and have some knowledge that exceeds those posting on a forum
  16. If you're so interested why not have a stab yourself...........???? As for me, I have no idea, I'm not an expert and go by the charts provided, it is a longterm trend not zooming in on a marco view Source
  17. Won't go there, that will lead us just slightly off topic as I can supply plenty of links that refute that opinion
  18. Extreme Apples & Oranges comparison? I was not making any comparisons to any other post or statistics, it was a stand alone post with the article. I'm not related to it in any way....lol
  19. Please feel free to lead the way, I have a hybrid car, if I could get a full electric powered and the facilities were here I would.
  20. True, and China still has a lot to do with its man made pollution that is affecting the world climate but as demonstrated it can do it if the will is there. It takes a concerted effort from all countries that produce pollution
  21. Great, seems to be differing articles: China’s clean air campaign is bringing down global pollution The country has slashed air pollution in recent years. By Bloomberg News 14 Jun 2022
