  1. You don't need to watch this to make decisions or have opinions. That's the most simplistic and intellectually lazy argument that you can put. Firstly access is not easy and secondly, this has been going on for years. Louis has not just brought this to light. I've not watched any of the Oct 7th documentaries despite one of the best being legally available on youtube for all to view. Unlike the doc in this topic. Screams before Silence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAr9oGSXgak&t=4s But that does not stop me knowing what happened and what continues to happen. I would never expect anyone to watch it before they could have an opinion on the day. The fact is, Nick is correct. Its very one sided and the review even from the very pro Palestinian Guardian has this to say about it aside from its praise. "Most notably, the peripheral glimpses of Israeli activists who protest against the settlements probably need more airtime, if only to demonstrate that this is a problem of individuals rather than an entire nation." This review however goes much further. Louis Theroux’s settler documentary shows only half the story Journalists have a duty to gather evidence and share knowledge responsibly when the public relies on their reporting. But The Settlers fails on all counts. Let me explain why. Firstly, Theroux says that violence committed by settlers is often framed by them as a reaction to Palestinian violence, which he claims is “much less frequent” than the former. But this is false. Palestinian attacks against Israelis are far more common than the inverse. https://www.yahoo.com/news/louis-theroux-settler-documentary-shows-151448493.html Of course, other very positive reviews will be found on the Pro Palestinian and Hamas media outlets.
  2. People already know and I corrected a factually incorrect claim
  3. Didn't think it would be long before you showed your true colours again. What it this accusation that: "The World is slowly but surely losing any sympathy it had for the Jews after the Holocaust" This is about the settlers in the West Bank and here you are tarring Jews with their treatment of Arabs/Palestinians in general. There are around 2.1 million Israeli Arabs living in Israel happily. In fact some even fight for the IDF in Gaza. Nearly 2% of the polulation in Israel is Christian. More facts, there are some Christian settlers in the West Bank and some Dutch Christian groups actually fund Israeli settlements there. Granted the majority are of course Jewish though. The veil slips again
  4. Oh another one who is childish enough to deliberately misspell via way of not adhering to known captilization rules the name Trump
  5. It's day 572 of the October 7 Hostage Crisis. 59 hostages are trapped in the dungeons of Gaza. 24 are presumed alive, but they're at imminent risk of death. The Hamas terror state must #LetThemGoNOW🎗️
  6. Never been a defender of the settlements in the West Bank just picked up the occasional media article on them, didn't watch this doc either but it had some historical context missing according to this account: I watched the full Louis Theroux documentary on the settler movement. I wanted to point out at least one historical inaccuracy that I spotted when he speaks about Hebron. He states: “In 1968, the year after it was occupied by Israel, a community of Jewish settlers moved in illegally. They now number some 700.” In 1895 the Jewish population of Hebron was 1,429. So there were more Jews in Hebron some 130 years ago than there are Jews in Hebron today. Why does Louis neglect to mention this? He interviews a Palestinian human rights activist named Issa. This man states: “This is my land. The settlers chose to come here. And if it’s not safe for them, why continue to build more settlements in my own city?” But let’s step back for a second. Why is it that the Jewish population of Hebron is smaller today than it was 130 years ago? Jews have lived in Hebron since antiquity. Biblical tradition holds that Abraham settled in Hebron and purchased the Cave of the Patriarchs as a burial place for his wife Sarah. Modern Jewish history in Hebron dates back to at least the 15th century. A visiting rabbi found at least 20 Jewish families living in Hebron in 1521. This small Jewish community grew over the years despite facing brutal discrimination and recurring pogroms. They were banned from praying at the Cave of the Patriarchs - one of the holiest sites in Judaism - until the beginning of the 20th century. The Jewish community of Hebron was only effectively finally destroyed in 1929 as a result of the Hebron Massacre. Dozens of Jews - including non-Zionist Jews who had lived in Hebron for generations - were systematically murdered by Arab nationalists. The British then ordered the remaining Jews to leave the city. Jewish properties and homes were looted. The Hadassah building became an Arab girls' school, the Abraham Avinu synagogue was destroyed and used as a goat pen, and the Jewish cemetery was vandalized and desecrated. When Jordan occupied Hebron from 1948 to 1967, they razed the last remaining Jewish synagogues and strictly prohibited Jewish access to the city. The Tomb of the Patriarchs was once again off limits to the Jews. Following Israel’s victory in the 1967 Six Day War, Jews were finally able to reenter the city and visit the Tomb of the Patriarchs. Louis Theroux only picks up the story here, when settlers “illegally” moved in. I want to clarify that I oppose extremist settlers in the West Bank. But if the Jews are to live anywhere in the West Bank, surely there can be a community in Hebron? I mean, how is it fair that a 500 year old Jewish community gets massacred and expelled and their homes looted and when they move back in 30 years later it’s “illegal.”
  7. Nope, Amazon are not. Amazon denied that it would display costs associated with tariffs for products on its website https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/amazon-tariff-prices-trump-response-b2741552.html
  8. Lawsuit naming Khalil among many others has been filed. Some of the so called students allegedly knew of the Oct 7th Attack before it happened. Lawsuit alleges anti-Israel group leaders are 'Hamas' foot soldiers in New York City' A lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York last month claims the leaders of several radical anti-Israel groups involved in 18 months of disruptive, violent and antisemitic protests on campuses and in the streets of New York City are "accountable for aiding and abetting Hamas’ continuing acts of international terrorism." n purported violation of the Antiterrorism Act and the Alien Tort Statue, the defendants are said to have "acted as Hamas’ foot soldiers in New York City," and may have had foreknowledge of the designated foreign terror organization’s devastating Oct. 7 attacks. https://www.foxnews.com/world/lawsuit-alleges-anti-israel-group-leaders-hamas-foot-soldiers-new-york-city Director of Middle East Forum @greggroman reveals Columbia University Palestine activists reactivated their social media account just hours before the Oct 7th attack on Israel. “Columbia activists…reactivated the Students for Justice for Palestine social media accounts, which had been dormant for months prior to October 7th, 3 hours before the October 7th attacks took place.” Roman made the revelation while speaking with a panel of military experts at the @JNS_org International Policy Summit in Jerusalem today.
  9. Didn't even bother reading most of your reply since you claimed his post was excellent. Saying a post is excellent that was just an attempt at throwing as much mud as you can to see what sticks and is full of baseless misleading claims is not excellent and shows your attempts at endorsing a post that is full of holes, pure propaganda and false claims. Aside from the obvious stats which he lacked to prove his claims, lets also take a look at this one. The actual facts are that 46% of UK Muslims support Hamas.
  10. Except its fact less, check the stats on how high its risen both antisemitism and criticism
  11. Nonsense, anti-semitism has always been taboo and criticism of Israel has certainly not suddenly become taboo under Starmer. In fact both have surged in the UK.
  12. Sounds like you actually want the UK to lose billions in taxes and put a higher burden on the working class. You have no problem lying as proven in the false claims you already made that it's hard to believe anything you say
  13. Lets be even clearer. The bigger question is that you have not acknowledged your false claims and the fact is the UK will now be losing money by them going along with the hundreds of others that have already left
  14. The property website is referring to Livingston in Scotland. It is based in West Lothian, its nothing to do with the brothers As for their online casino business in the US that was not disputed So still waiting for these links
  15. We are absolutely clear that there is no place for anti-Semitism on our services.” BBC Accused of Bias in Israel-Hamas Coverage: Over 1,500 Breaches of Guidelines You forgot to look at the related topics, quite a few more there including from Jewish BBC staff. But yes I'm sure Hamas would also love some international journalists there. They are looking for more hostages in the war zone
  16. the Livingstone brothers amassed (not created) much of their wealth from buy-to-let rents Can you provide a link to your claims, still also waiting for the welfare payments claims
  17. What about all the other investments that were the first of their successes? " Ian, who originally studied optometry, also founded an eyewear business that expanded to more than 200 stores before he sold his stake to Leonardo Del Vecchio’s Luxottica Group in 2010." Can you expand on the welfare payments that you claimed? A link to that would be a good start. "It would be interesting to know what portion of the Livingstone’s income in rents is derived from welfare payments to their tenants."
  18. Well how about you do some research then, here's a starter for you, distressed properties that just one of the brothers was into 30 years ago, not exactly the same as their property portfolio now which is one of the largest privately owned in Europe. https://lrp.co.uk/
  19. Read the link. It was a quote from tax advisors
  20. If a UK citizen becomes a non-resident of the UK they will still need to pay UK tax on income earned in the UK. Why are you telling me something that was not disputed by me?
  21. Read my post again. Obviously any physical work they did for their companies while living in the UK will no longer apply as they will not be doing it anymore! No facts have evaded me, how about you? If you live or work outside the UK for much of the time, you may no longer have to pay as much UK tax. Learn everything you need to know about expat taxes below. https://www.unbiased.co.uk/discover/tax-business/self-assessment/expatriate-taxes Thats without even mentioning all the other benifits including capital gains etc
  22. Why would I make a comment on articles that you are trying to link them to without a shred of evidence. I reply on facts not your speculation and false accusations. I mean, you already claim I idolize them...........
  23. There you go again, first you accuse them of being people who should not be admired. Greed is not a pleasant trait. despite evidence to the contrary and then go onto accusing me of idolizing them.....lol Further more making unsubstantiated links to the intentions for their charitable donations. I suggest you read the OP and the related articles: London’s Wealth Exodus: Capital Falls from Top Five Richest Cities as Millionaires Depart UK Exodus of Millionaires Highlights Concerns Over Labour’s Tax Policies
  24. Your not making sense, how do those who set up their own charitable trusts to give to UK children, education and disadvantaged children fit in perfectly with them being.....................
