  1. Or trolling. Some just love to troll and get a kick or days-long high from the ensuing reaction.
  2. Apart from the published immigration and health formalities, be sure you're aware of the contents of your bags at all times. US authorities (the DEA in particular) regularly flag suspicious itineraries and forwards them to their counterparts in destinations where, historically, there have been cases of detentions involving foreigners flying such routes. An example of such an itinerary is US or Canada to Colombia, Peru or Brazil, then onward to South East Asia (usually with Emirates which I believe would be the only airline flying Brazil to Asia via Dubai). It is a typical trafficker's itinerary. The resulting flag will or could lead to you being more stringently checked by Customs at your destination airport. Not saying that you have such intentions but this happens.
  3. As many more as required to keep me, you and everyone else safe day and night.

    Ivermectin

Just come to Phnom Penh and tell them you need so and so many bottles of those hormone pills. They'll dump the lot in front of you on the counter and ask to pay, no other questions asked.
  5. AA: No BB: No CC: No The correct answer is DD: it's because you are a walking and breathing ATM.
  6. May I ask how this works with exit/entry as a Thai citizen of foreign lineage. You exit Thailand with your Thai passport (the passport you show Thai immigration). What happens if they (immigration or the airline) check for a visa on the Thai passport during check in and clearance formalities and don't see one (as you intend to enter the UK with your British passport) ? Do you reveal your UK passport? I'm genuinely curious. ????
  7. I see. Yes, correct. I wrote my comment above based on my experience with my own personal router which I use in conjunction with a prepaid (reloadable) sim. Indeed, if the router is supplied by an ISP and installed by a service technician, best if they are consulted to resolve any issues.
  8. Conditions that should make one think twice or more before applying. Is it worth that rai of land?
  9. Disturbing arbitrariness. So before doing (literally) anything, a naturalized Thai should first check what the law says about it and be on his or her best behaviour at all times. Nice.
  10. That's cause for concern. So once granted, you're expected to live an exemplary, sinless, saint-like, picture-perfect life until the day you expire, unlike locals whose Thai citizenship is irrevocable and not rescindable, regardless if they commit crimes of even the most heinous kind. Citizenship shouldn't be rescindable or voidable if applied for and granted in a lawful manner, even if that citizen later becomes a public charge or a felon. The Appeals Court rightfully ruled in favour of the Chinese couple.
  11. Most or maybe even all wifi routers have a reset button. It is often accessible either by pressing it or via a hole which can be accessed with a sim ejector. Pressing it will factory-reset the router. After resetting it, try connecting again. Some devices upgrade their OS regularly, often leading to blockage of WiFi if security issues are detected. For example, this appeared on my iPhone after a recent update:
  12. 10 baht vs cost of stitches and anti-infection meds, pain, scandalous scene, stress, potential tetanus shots, embarrassing stares, fame for all the wrong reasons. Just pay the 30 cents, thank you very much.
  13. Might stand a chance in Germany... but Denmark ???? they are relentless in their drive to either deport or have non-Danes self-deport themselves.
  14. I love the unparalleled and dogged optimism. Nowhere else is such envisaged rosiness and complacency more endemic.
  15. "Deported for attending a birthday party" "A lifetime criminal record for attending a birthday party" My my, times have changed indeed.
  16. I'm her husband. 1m baht and she's yours. Cash and carry. Meet up at Foodland near her workplace (Thanon Patpong 1).
  17. Let's see... 600m THB / x brown envelopes = y. Find y if x = the number of beneficiaries with rank พันตำรวจเอก and higher. Calculators not allowed. Test starts... now
  18. Probably an industry-specific thing. As an airline pilot, I never had work issues with my Thai counterparts. I find their reliability, CRM procedures, decision making skills, assertiveness, situational awareness and the (often maligned) ability to think for themselves fortunately neither lacking nor wanting. Maybe it also has to do with the education system where independent thinking is not as strongly encouraged as in the west. Rote learning, regurgitating dictated material and discouraging critical thinking skills often impede the ability to take the initiative to act outside that narrow circle drawn by a person of authority.
  19. This nonstop heroisation of irresponsible people is exhausting No such plans for far tragic incidents at Yorkshire's Mossdale Caverns, South Africa's Bushman's Hole, the equally infamous Kilsby Sinkhole in South Australia, et al. Next, they will be given the Nobel Prize and awarded honorary doctorates by Chula and Harvard.
  20. Hell hath no fury like an overstayer scorned. Assuming he is found guilty, Bang Kwang will soon welcome another lifer.
  21. I don't know what to say or think. Why would flying westward be "the wrong way" when Doha bears WNW of Bangkok? If you wanted a shorter travel time, you should have considered booking a flight via Incheon or Tokyo (if available).
  22. A welcome pro: 5G is now gaining traction in the Philippines. https://www.globe.com.ph/5g/areas.html
  23. Time to make way and clear up space for new earthlings. Don't be selfish by attempting to prolong an obviously terminal case. Heart issues, the d-word which is just as prognostically poor and debilitating as the c-word... best for everyone involved to plan sensibly for what's to come.
