These places are dangerous especially at low water because the exposed rocks are super smooth and slippery. I slipped at one of these places twenty years ago and bent back my big toe nail. I put some tape around it and thought I had saved it till a big red ant bit me on the toe and it swelled up and popped off the nail. -

Things are changing with TV. I cut the cable in Canada years ago because they would not sell me what I wanted to buy. I have a smart TV mostly watch YouTube. I have been in Thailand four months and nobody young or old has turned on the TV. Raising the fees will speed up the demise of traditional media. -

A somewhat outdated post. Nearly all the mansions in the rice fields are owned by Thais especially in the last few years. A couple of krauts showed up in the village and built mansions five years ago but Thais from the city are constantly building two of three every year. -
