    In Pattaya/Jomtien in beer bars, 150 baht is now standard for lady drinks, used to be 120, but rents went up so did the price of drinks and lady drinks. In a go go bars, LK metro, the sky is the limit for lady drinks, but expect around 220-280.

    Yes, in Thailand, even if you tell the truth it can be claimed as defamation! I don't think that she will be in Thailand long enough to go to court over it, even then how is she going to get money for a lawyer?

    Yes, having the corrupt investigate the corrupt, won't work. The only teal way is to have a completely independent group, who are above any suspicion to do any investigation, trying to find a group like that in Thailand would be 'almost' impossible!

    Absolutely agree!! No new wars, the ME was relatively stable and Iran was almost broke, under Trump the world was a much safer place. Biden takes over and its been disasters all the way, from Afghanistan, to the border crisis, to the inflation, but all that pales into insignificance with the 2 new wars ongoing and a potential 3rd with Iran looming. Which could escalate, Biden dithering not knowing what to do....................!!!

    I worked in Makati city in Manila for 2 years, whilst most of the local food is not very good for my palate, the locals seem to enjoy it! There are many good restaurants there, including Thai restaurants. I think most dogs would eat the local food!

    On every flight I have been on , they announce its no smoking on the aircraft and make a point about electronic/electric cigarettes cannot be used. There are smoke detectors in the bathrooms and smoking will set them off! The strange thing is the cabin crew didn't notice and no one pressed the call light to complain?

    In general its a quieter plane, less engine noise, larger windows and the cabin is pressurized to a lower altitude, 6000 ft, most aircraft especially older ones are pressurized to 8000ft, so it is more comfortable!
