Was watching a documentary yesterday on the Miami building collapse... it seems they used a similar concrete prefabricated panel method as the Bangkok Chinese condo development. This has a tubular construction as apposed to solid construction. Made for cheapness in less materials used and more lightweight, supposedly ideal for high rise buildings. The Bangkok condo collapse being built by Chinese & Italian developers were using the same panels.

I beg to differ.... The latest regulations, introduced in 2021, mandate seismic-resistant designs for buildings in Bangkok

Maybe not on that scale, but if building fail and roads turn into roller coasters it doesn't say much for construction methods in Thailand.

I'm not a construction expert but I do have friends who are in the large scale construction business.. They tell me many safety features are ignored including the latest earthquake rules due to costs.. so unlike you I do know what I'm talking about
