    Understand the OP frustration of rule changes that are not "grandfathered"...but if roughly $100AUD a week (the difference between indexed and non indexed pension) is making or breaking his ability to live the lifestyle he desires... Then clearly he didn't plan too well for retirement 🤔

    The number sounds a little far fetched to me, are we sure this isn't some sort of political stoush the minister has with the army ? Perhaps they were surveyed and 80% said they'd used drugs... Whoopy do they are young males... I play golf inside an army base and believe me most are hard fit and healthy looking to my eye

    Every time one of these stories come thru there's a constant tirade of criticism directed at the victim. While I'm not defending their actions (in most cases self inflicted damage), I have to wonder if any of these harsh critics were ever 20yo, did anything reckless or god forbid broke a law 🤔...I certainly did silly things home and abroad in my late teens and 20s, and only with a brush off good luck came thru unscathed.

    I left 3 weeks ago and won't be back until June, even tho our place isn't particularly bad for AQ... But combined with the heat its a no go zone for me. Never intend to sell house in home country (Oz). For those in their 30-40s "living the dream" in Thailand but with few assets or ability to grow their financial situation should bear this in mind for later on (being struck with no options to leave)
