  1. Like you I’m always in pursuit of improving my game cant offer any advice on coaches Have built and indoor sim at my place in Oz, allows me to hit some balls every day irrespective of weather, and great for analysis I follow a few YouTube types, don’t get too caught up in them but sift some useful pointers here and there will set up same here in TH as most the kit (well the expensive part) is portable ideal for here with long bouts of hot and rainy weather saying that there’s still no substitute for on course play good luck ⛳️
  2. Todays news - make online visa so therefore easier (particularly those with something to hide) get their visa Yesterdays news - get bad foreigners out of phuket TIT 😊
  3. Honestly if the grog monopoly was broken the craft brewing market would flourish, I paid overs for a few tins of a Thai brewed IPA recently and believe me it was top class. I try plenty of different ipA in the booming Oz craft market so I know what I’m talking about
  4. 16c at 07:00 this morning here in Ubon, god bless it 😊 just need wind to lay down a bit for golf next week
  5. Landed 5pm last thurs yes it’s getting busy far more than last entry in October fortunately flew in biz ticket so thru in about 10min, makes a difference at end of long few days travel after finishing njghtshifts
  6. Yes Motdaeng I didn’t say Ubon was great air year round, it’s hot and hazy Mar-June like pretty well the whole region…. thus why I’m far away enjoying autumn in coastal Oz that time of year😊
  7. Interestingly there is a cluster of high readings in the north CM area now but nothing across border in Laos or Myanmar not being in area myself what do you locals think is current source - forest fires, cane burning ? Of course it coincides with the rapid drying up period end of wet season One of the advantages of being in what I call the Far East (Ubon Ratchathani) is the generally good AQ until it gets really dry hot into March April
  8. With rising inflation and cost of living, I doubt Thailand is alone in seeing a drop in tourism people are finally waking up tightening their belt and living within their means, I think Covid was bit of catalyst for that with it being first real crisis a lot of younger people had experienced saying that a lot of the systematic things like visas etc in Thailand don’t help but it is doubtless still a very popular holiday option for many people
  9. 20m baht at home 🤔 If actually true who knows maybe daughter of Burmese military junta heavyweight
  10. 39 innocent thais murdered by these sick fundamentalist dogs and these Thai diplomats have the hide to praise them…sickening 🤢
  11. What a joke the Chinese are likely one of the most involved groups in all the illegal activities mentioned, esp call centre scams
  12. Every one of these long range forecasts seem to be more ridiculous than the last 🤔
  13. Pandemic…you idiots 😄 it’s over let it go. Noticeable drop in mask wearing here in Ubon, even earlier this year was still pretty common
  14. Pathetic but maybe makes some business sense. in free market manufacturing competition etc Thailand are being unsurprisingly spanked by likes of Vietnam and Malaysia so maybe trying to corner the china and Russian markets might pay some dividends…time will tell
  15. Miss reckons it’d been hammering down here in Ubon for weeks until I arrived 10 days ago, barely a drop since, winds have turned constant Easterly…dry seasons here ????
  16. Have no problem with it indonesia for example $50usd visa fee on arrival at least it might reduce the endless flow of the gofundme brigade
  17. Not related to this case, but I wonder how many of the firearms out there are related to the obviously poor security systems the police and military have in place for weapons security ? have read of countless cases here over the years where 1 kid has shot another playing with dads unsecured gun at home …
  18. Can’t believe lots of comments laughing this off imo only a few rungs below a child molester / murderer pity Australia doesn’t still apply the ultimate penalty
  19. Great post i have constant thoracic pain from C5-7 bulging disc, not debilitating but requires work to maintain for 10yrs+. Have long considered ESI, at age 53 and still very sportingly active it might help, but I imagine having soon after injury would have provided more benefits. I think healthy lifestyle, stretching and quality massage are key for me, something that will be a lot easier once retired and not travelling for work in few yrs time
  20. Not quite retired yet, but when I do have no intention to sell my house on the coast in Australia Already have nice place in TH so no financial reason to, but primarily because I don’t fancy being in TH 12mth/yr particularly march-june have spent a lot of time in TH over the years to form that opinion, I get the impression a lot go all in when retired and move here having not spent enough time here prior to see if that’s really the best option for them
  21. Good on him ???? let’s all chip in and buy him the right tools so he can finish the job when he gets out
  22. As always, it’s hit and miss recent experiences daytime arrivals thru very quick <10mins mid morning departures lot slower more like 20-30mins, just give yourself plenty of time to spare and noise cancelling headphones on ????
  23. Like all things tho the evolution of modern systems will make it harder and harder to commit and then keep covered up these sorts of scams Thai beaurocrats should be very very scared of AI and it’s ability to pick these scams up through accounting anomalies etc
