Your last sentence , our water pump came on a few nights ago , it turned out to be a tap in the garden that was dripping.  I got a Thai to fix it , my wife wrapped PVC tape round the thread.

Sorry meatboy can offer no help. Curtains are funny things here. We have them on every window but when we moved up here and had them made it took a lot of searching to find some one who could make them , why curtains are so unusual I don't know.   Good luck anyway .

In 16 days time I will be 75 and compared to my folks who loved walking I am doing pretty good.  Saying that it is a fact that we live longer now . 19th into 20th Century 50 was old.

I remember on a visit to the Netherlands in 1968 just how many rode bicycles , of couse it is flat there so no excuses.

I too don't like Sedan transam but Saloon does sound a bit like a place to get a drink. Car is short for carriage and that is bleddy awful too.  Truck is the front part of a steam loco before the driving wheels.
