New Leader Natthaphong Vows Big Win for People’s Party
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Unless the army is kept in it's barracks and the EC and the CC have their powers severely diminished PP at the next election (dependent on an intervening coup or not before then) could garner an absolute majority yet still be denied the right to govern. -
They will need a true majority in the House nxt election if next election is allowed by the military. The EC and the CC also need their wings clipped. This legal arm of the junta and the royalist establishment is in no way independent and is simply there to ensure the continuation of the status quo protecting the military royalist establishment.

Thaksin Shinawatra Rejects Need for Official Advisor Role with New PM
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
New PM on the right and the puppeteer on the left. If anyone thinks otherwise they are severely deluded. -
Nice one, cheers, but this is typical Asian culture. "I am your superior. How dare you challenge/question me" These are the dinosaurs that need to be made extinct if Thailand has a future for it's people but sadly these are the dinosaurs who wield the power.

Paetongtarn Shinawatra Elected as Thailand's 31st Prime Minister
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was here when the army kicked daddy out. I was here when the army kicked aunty out. Will I get to see another one get booted out by the army in the future? -
People's Party Opposes Court's Decision ousting PM Srettha

I wouldn't call the CC or the EC independent. They are legal arms of the military royalist establishment. -
Paetongtarn Shinawatra to be Nominated as Thailand's New PM
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"The most powerful position in the country of Thailand" resides in Germany. I also think it's fair to say that the PM if not military royalist establishment, which PTP is not, will only be tolerated if they serve a purpose for the aforementioned military royalist establishment.- 204 replies

dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Mr. Dictator? Are you kidding. As I said above our daughter was on her mum's back to vote for Pita well before me. -

Evidence of this change please. This is your post: "not really, as you have no control over it, your just a yearly allowed guest in Thailand" This is how I quoted you: "not really, as you have no control over it, your just a yearly allowed guest in Thailand" The only thing I have done is to highlight a section of it which is allowed. If you think I have changed your post in any way please show the evidence of this. -

Rubbish. It's called communication. The daughter was telling mum well before me to not vote PTP but to vote for Pita. -

As the last election clearly showed the Thai voting population also has no control over it. If they did MFP would be the government and Pita the PM. -

I'm proud of it because I educated her about Thaksin. I change her mind before the election. Thaksin jumping into bed with the military changed her mind forever. She like so many other PTP supporters now see Thaksin as a traitor to their support. PTP are finished. -
PM Srettha Guilty of Ethical Misconduct, Entire Cabinet Dismissed
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes it's certainly a continuation of the soft coup approach but sooner or later the hand of the military and it's boss will be forced. The military will have no qualms about shooting Thai citizens that protest the rule of the military and it's boss. The day will come. The soft coup approach will no longer be able to be used. -

Not me. This is being manipulated from above. Thaksin coming back, MFP dissolved, ex con being appointed it's all being done to destabalise the political landscape. -

I got my wife to change her vote from PTP to MFP. My daughter had made her own mind up who she would vote for if she was old enough and that was MFP. My family's future is definitely my business. Indeed it's my number 1 focus so for someone to say is none of my business I respectfully say GFY.- 121 replies

The CC is just a legal arm of the military royalist establishment as is the EC. Their "rulings" are predetermined. -
