  1. I'll show you what I'm babbling on about as you so politely put it. You: "Should move up North. Schools open since the 1st. November Older children 4 days/week, younger children 5 days, all teachers jabbed, all required students jabbed. Albeit after months of closure. Happy days." Me: "By younger children do you mean those under 12? If so they are unvaccinated." I have asked if you are saying that the under 12's are vaccinated." You: "Yes, hence why I said “all required students ” are jabbed, and jabbed with Pfizer. " Your answer is Yes. Me: "So when did Thailand start vaccinating 5-11 year olds. The FDA in the US gave this the green light on October 29." Fairly straight forward and concise from me and this is your response: "What are you babbling on about? Go and have a lie down. Let’s hope you get back to school soon for everyone’s sake."
  2. Interesting. Definitley compulsory at my school indeed I thaught it was a directive from the Ministry.
  3. So when did Thailand start vaccinating 5-11 year olds. The FDA in the US gave this the green light on October 29.
  4. Are parents trained how to do these correctly? At my school last Friday a group teachers were taught how to do these. They then had to test the rest of the teachers under the supervision of trained personel.
  5. It seems some people don't understand the comparison here. It is continually posted that Thailand is way below the UK in deaths per million of population. These charts show that since April 1 Thailand has had more deaths than the UK. You can do the maths yourself. This reflects the Delta wave.
  6. Three separate schools in Kalasin (high schools) openned and are now closed again because of covid cases. Don't have numbers for today but Firday the were 35 new cases. Yesterday 103. Kalasin has around 40% fully vaccinated and many of these would be double jabbed with Sinovac. http://www.kalasin.go.th/t/index.php/th/covid-19.html

  9. Comparing to the previous 7 day period (which started 10 days ago) there have been 180 more infections including ATK in the 1st 3 days of this 7 day period. 10618 9336 8401 28355 10156 9950 8429 28535 Thanks @Bkk Brian. Getting these numbers from you.
  10. My school has pushed back the Nov 15 openning to Nov 22 so remains online. P6-M3 or grades 6-9. Been here before. Pushed back then pushed back again then again, then ....... . I wonder about other schools not openning tomorrow as was so joyously announced by the empty heads. Low primary grade 5 and below and kindergatern I suspect will not be back until the new school year next year.
  11. BEIJING (AP) — China’s top disease control official, in a rare acknowledgement, said current vaccines offer low protection against the coronavirus and mixing them is among strategies being considered to boost their effectiveness. He also praised the benefits of mRNA vaccines, the technology behind the two vaccines seen as the most effective, Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, months after questioning whether the then-unproven method was safe. https://apnews.com/article/china-gao-<deleted>-vaccines-offer-low-protection-coronavirus-675bcb6b5710c7329823148ffbff6ef9 This is from April 11 pretty well pre-Delta.
  12. There's a restaurant near me. It was an outside thing but they've really redone it and now it's enclosed, airconditioned and quite big. Went past there last night. Jam packed. Easily 200+ people. All of course masks down. As for a plate of somtam etc this is where families and neighbours and friends all sit around sharing the meal which of course is the Asian way of doing things. You don't for a minute think alcohol isn't being consumed on these occasions do you. This is happening all over Thailand everyday.
  13. I wonder what the number of daily new infections would be if they did the 120,000 tests per day they said they can do? I also will say again I would really love to see data on virul pneumonia excess deaths.
  14. Yes you are right. My comment is more about viral spread among vaccinated populations. Waning is part of it but the countries that have openned up and are seeing a spike or it's even being called a fourth wave are not wearing masks. If you are fully vaccinated you can still get and spread the virus. Mask wearing dramatically reduces the chances of this.
  15. All teachers in Thailand who had 2 Sinovac jabs require a 3rd mRNA booster to qualify as fully vaccinated. Well they did at my school.
  16. Let's see if I've got this right. The main reason for openning the borders is to try and save the tourist industry and inject money back into the economy yet one big part of the tourist industry is the nightlife which remains closed.
  17. Not wearing masks is my guess. Being vaccinated does not mean you cannot catch and spread the virus.
  18. Natural immunity comes via exposure. Around 6 months after your last shot you will no longer be protected hence the booster.
  19. The thing is it is not yet known how effective the 3rd booster jab is. How long will it last before waning? Will it wane? Will it be enough for the memory cells for life time protection? Israel is the test bed for this and as the have only recently started the booster rollout it's too early to know.
  20. Ok. Must test the foreigners with PCR $$$$$ and dodgy Chinese ATK's for the Thai public.
  21. So this is your response? Fantastic addition from someone who has consistantly supported the Chinese vaccines and said that people on here denigrade it. I guess the Swiss have the same idea as many on here. Your position is obviously in opposition to the Swiss government as you keep posting how good it is. What do you think about this? Fairly sure you will respond with an emoji. Please prove me wrong and answer the questions if you will. Is Sinovac any good? Why do front line workers who have had 2 jabs of sinovac need an mRNA vaccine. Why has Switzerland taken this decision? All valid questions which from all your posts I think deserves an answer rather than an emoji. EDIT: Or not respond at all.
  22. I'm late into this one but a big thumbs up to the fanboys on here. Fairly sure Switzerland is wrong by not recognising just how good Sinonvac is. People believe the stuff that comes out from this mob of corrupt morons here. Beggars belief.
