PM Srettha Guilty of Ethical Misconduct, Entire Cabinet Dismissed
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yep and destabalise the entire political landscape with the CC also being directed to dissolve MFP and ban it's executives from politics for 10 yrs. -
PM Srettha Guilty of Ethical Misconduct, Entire Cabinet Dismissed
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thaksin set him up BUT PTP as I have said before are as much in the crosshairs of the military royalist establishment as is was MFP now PP. This appointment must have been known by the powers running the show to be enough to bring down the PTP PM and it was allowed to proceed. -

People’s Party Surge: 84% Would Vote Today, Poll Reveals
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
No maybe about it. The tide has well and truly turned. The establishment is and has been for a long time under threat of losing it's privilege. The EC, CC and even the military will not be able to stop this move to reform. -

People’s Party sets sights on 'landslide victory' in next election
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Win by a landslide? Sure. Not be able to form govt because of EC and CC? Most likely. Able to form govt. but then comes the coup. Possible scenario. Coup before next election? Also possible scenario. -
PM Calls for Swift Action on Chemical Spill Management in Seven Areas
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Nothing wrong with this. Very unusual for governments anywhere to be proactive rather than reactive. Sadly the smallest bone of cynicism in my body is ringing a bell saying there's corruption going on here. "This includes distributing survival kits and face masks, offering health check-ups, supporting waste management experts, and providing machinery and personnel for area rehabilitation." TIT. -
Ex-Move Forward MPs to appoint executive committee of a new party
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Future Forward/Move Forward/??? will not back down from amending Section 112 and neither they should. This expected result from the Establishment's/Military's Corrupted Judicial System has just added millions of votes the the next iteration of FFP/MFP/??? at the next election if that actually can happen. The military is ready and warming up the tanks. -
Thai ministry steps in as mothers’ vape video sparks concern
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Ridiculous. Adults all over Thailand smoke cigarettes in the same room or the vicinity of children. I'm not saying that it's ok to vape next to your kids or anyone else for that matter. I'm saying that the incidence of cigarette smoking around kiddies would be way, way higher than vaping. -
Dissolution of Move Forward disenfranchises 14 million Thais – US
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This has nothing to do with the PTP. It's the establishment elite, the military and he who cannot be talked about. Getting Thaksin back was a political move by the Junta and it's boss. -
Move Forward Party dissolved, leaders banned for 10 years - video
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
An excellent article. A DARK DAY FOR THAILAND AFTER COURT DISSOLVED MOVE FORWARD PARTY In the end, the Constitutional Court today acted out of fear, citing eventual concerns that the monarchy institution will be eventually abolished if the main opposition Move Forward was allowed to continue to exist and charismatic former leader Pita Limjaroenrat allowed to hold political office. Thus the party was dissolved and Pita along with about ten others, including current party leader Chaithawat Tulathon were banned from from political office for 10 years. This leads to the question as to whether Thailand can still call itself a democracy when disenfranchising 14 million voters, or the biggest winner in the May 2014 general election, means little or nothing as long as voters want to see the monarchy institution reformed instead of being treated like a semi-divine institution from the Middle Ages in Europe. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/featured/2024/08/07/a-dark-day-for-thailand-after-court-dissolved-move-forward-party/ -
Move Forward Party dissolved, leaders banned for 10 years - video
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
What has happened previous to almost every coup here? People have taken to the streets. This is a historical fact. This is why I find the comment "There's rice in the bowl, all's ok!" an insult to the Thai people. Not only this but it's a puerile, uneducated comment. What will happen is yet to play out. Here are some scenarios. Students will take to the streets and this will peter out. Students will take to the streets and mass protests will follow. This will trigger a coup. Nothing will happen now instead people will wait for the next election where the dinosaurs will be profoundly punished, or nothing will happen at all due to complacency. -

dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Wrong again. They're going to a party they had set in the wings for this very occurrence of disbandment and political, pseudo legal assassination. If there's not a coup before the next election the dinosaurs will be wiped out. -

dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Exactly the outcome which was decided some months ago. No surprise. What will happen now is the interesting bit. The power of the minority elite and the military can not and will not be challenged through democratic means. Will the Thai people rise up and force reform?- 189 replies
