dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Family leaps to safety from second-floor in Pathum Thani blaze I think jump rather than leap is the case here. The good ol' The Thaiger. Always dependable for exagerated healines and chat gtp articles. Keep up the good work. -

Airborne pollution forecast to worsen this weekend
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I thought my post was pretty self evident. OP says pm 2.5 will be worse this weekend and I basically said nevermind this weekend it will get worse over the next 3 months. Is this any clearer? Pun intended. My previous post. "I think this weekend may not be the true picture. Try the next 3+ months." As it turns out it seems so far this weekend it hasn't got worse. Indeed from the middle of the week it seems to have improved a bit. https://www.iqair.com/th/ -
Why? The new muslim woke brought about by muslims murdering, raping, beheading, kidnapping etc. Israelis on Oct 7. I've seen some absolutely pitiful westerners falling for this crapp. Free Palestine they say. From the river to sea they say. Absolutely no idea.

Thaksin Exempt from EM Bracelet Due to Illness and Age
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
We all know that Thaksin got the easy ride but the em bracelet thing is just an aside. If this is the policy and it's the policy for everyone in this category then so be it. No need for any negative or rediculous comments. -
Thailand’s Education Ministry to launch enhanced O-Net Plus exam system
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Teachers hate standardized testing. My grade 6 and grade 9 were pulled out of all classes for 6 wks to study for the O-Net exams. 2nd term I get to see these classes for less than 6 hrs in the whole term. This is the same for all other subjects. This is absurd. Fairly sure the reasoning behind this is if the school comes in with good O-Net results this is an advertising benefit for the school. Standardized testing is very much outdated and of very little use. -
ONCB considers dropping methamphetamine pill limit to three

Give Thaksin a ring. He knows how to deal with the horrible drug users. -
ONCB considers dropping methamphetamine pill limit to three
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Because they are addicted and dropping 3 or more tabs a day NOT because they are dealers. Dealers will have 100's if not thousands on hand or easily accessible from higher up the dealing chain. -
Health Minister Addresses Drug Policy Critique
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Maybe Thaksin can personally direct extrajudicial killings for people with 6 or more yabba pills in their possession. Even the previous 10 pills is a small amount to be classifying someone as a dealer. The ultra-conservatives rule this country have no doubts about that. -
Thailand braces for record-breaking summer heat in five provinces
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not unusual in Kalasin where you can have wks above the old 100F (same I guess for much of Thailand) and let's face it 40-45C is pretty much the same. HOT. -
Cabinet Approves Extra Holiday for Songkran Festival
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The 3 wks was never touted as a 3 wk holiday. Having said this I agree that it's ludicrous. What is meant to happen in these 3 wks? TAT like all departments here are full of thought bubble, empty headed idiots that come up with completely idiotic ideas with no thought at all put into to them. Arrival tax is a good example. -

Thailand’s DES ministry to propose cell broadcast emergency system plan
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Ah! American English. Cell phone AKA mobile phone. Let's face it the implementation of this system is primarily the former. Apart from this it's just another scheme that will fill a very few pockets with lots of money. Something tells me there is a 3rd tier. Complete shutdown of internet services in areas where there is said "public disorder". -

Thai Royal Gazette Announce Thresholds for Drug Addiction vs. Dealing

Interesting no mention of THC. 100 milligrams of LSD? Yes please when dosage in measured in micrograms. What about psilocybin (magic mushrooms)? No mention. The use of "not exceeding" also seems incorrect. Should it not be exceeding a specific amount or wieght is subject to punishment? As for 100 milligrams of LSD read this... Oklahoma City Zoo Experiment[edit] "Tusko" was the name of a male Indian elephant at the Oklahoma City Zoo. On August 3, 1962,[6] researchers from the University of Oklahoma injected him with 297 mg of LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), which is nearly three thousand times the human recreational dose (for an animal weighing roughly one hundred times as much as a human).[a] Within five minutes he collapsed to the ground and one hour and forty minutes later he died. It is believed that the LSD was the cause of his death, although some speculate that the drugs the researchers used in an attempt to revive him may have contributed to his death." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tusko#:~:text=Oklahoma City Zoo Experiment,-"Tusko" was the&text=Within five minutes he collapsed, have contributed to his death. -
