Tourism Concerns Spark Plea for Alcohol Sales Law Change
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm guessing you mean the midnight to 11 in the morning. Yep it's just BS. Go shopping at Big C at 8, 9 or 10 o'clock for example and alcohol cannot be purchased. Good to get the shopping done when it's not too hot and not too many people but NOOOOOOOO you cannot buy alcohol. Pure insanity.- 69 replies

Tourism Concerns Spark Plea for Alcohol Sales Law Change
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agree but if you want to buy a beer at 10:30 in the morning from 711 or go to a 711 to buy a beer at 2:00 pm you can't. -
Tourism Concerns Spark Plea for Alcohol Sales Law Change
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Let's see. 2 pm-5 pm and midnight-11:00 am. Yep 3 hrs. Being fair though everytime there is some chatter on this the hours of 12:00 am-11:00 am is never mentioned. The reality is there is only 10 hrs of alcohol sales a day when it comes to this extremely anachronistic law. -

Chat GPT decided creature. The sentence is just rediculuos. On a mountain in Thailand, a “highly venomous” creature moved through the darkened forest.

Thailand deports dissident Russian rockers to Israel
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Look back at what I posted. The US Embassy assisted them getting to Israel along with the Israeli Embassy. I did not say the US was "behind this". This is in the media. Look it up for yourself. -
Opposition parties dine together in a show of solidarity
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Of course in Thailand oppostion party means any party who is opposed to the elite not the party who did not win the election which is normally the case. We now know that any party opposed to the elite dictatorship will remain in oppostion no matter what % of the population votes for them. Gain 75% of the popular vote and you will not be the govt. You will be the opposition. -

Someone found this comment funny. HaHa emoji poster would you care to explain why this is funny or are you just an emoji troll? You know who you are. Anonymizing helps the trolls and is a negative move. -
Thailand deports dissident Russian rockers to Israel
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Much more behind this than we are being told. US was involved in getting them out safely. Russia applied pressure to get them back. This had nothing to do about working without a work permit. -
This is possibly the most puerile article, and I say article in the very loosest terms, that I've ever seen on here. We are talking about democracy, corruption and the dictatorship of the elite. This rubbish appears to be written by an infantile AI program. Should never see the light of day this complete and utter rubbish and should be deleted from this forum.

The so-called constitution was written to protect the powers of the elite. -
Constitutional Court Already Turned Into ‘Superpower’ Agency: Academic

I agree but ones is plural. I think if we go singular we find who is really in power and directing everything. The only thing this will achieve is increase the disaffection against that power. -
Health alert: Your favourite grilled pork buffet could be killing you
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I don't like them but the missus and kid do. Never feel full and I always get a gut's ache the next day. Having said this some are better than others but the prices have gone through the roof. Used to be bt99 per person (10yrs ago?) ago and that included grilled prawns and icecream. -

Constitutional Court Already Turned Into ‘Superpower’ Agency: Academic

Basically Thailand's so-called "democracy" is based on the appointed senate and the appointed CC. Vote however you like but if you vote for the ones we don't like we will keep them from gaining power. One person one vote is not how it works in Thailand. Elections and voting is meaningless thus democracy is non-existent. Thailand is a dictatorship of the ruling class. -

Surge in Covid-19 infections and rising death toll in Thailand
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You keep quoting FDA, CDC etc. CDC still say vaccinate children where the rest of the world doesn't. I also think we all know the relationship between big pharma and the CDC and the FDA. This is the where the narrative comes from and this is the only thing you see. -
Surge in Covid-19 infections and rising death toll in Thailand

A lot of the real science was silenced if it didn't agree with the narrative a narrative that was pushed by big pharma, the WHO, world govts and the corporate media. -

Surge in Covid-19 infections and rising death toll in Thailand
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"........all the fatalities last week [11] were......primarily elder individuals with chronic conditions." I wonder how many people in this category died last week due to complications from air pollution, complications from the common cold, organ failure, cancer etc,etc etc. My guess is way more than 11. -
Fixing Thai education is not just a matter of money
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Blackboard, chalk and 40+ in a classroom. Tells me all I need to know about how much you know about teaching conditions in a lot of Thai public schools. Teachers try to make things interesting but it's not easy in a system that is more akin to the 1950's classroom.
