Wow! You seem to know an awful lot. How much is a teacher's pension then? Early retirement? Are you sure? Cheap loans? These are available to all government employees. School holidays? Teaching is a job that requires a lot of mental energy. Holidays are necessary not just for students but also teachers. Once again a teacher basher that has absolutelty no clue. Teaching is one of those underpaid, overworked and underappreciated professions slagged upon by those who have absolutely no idea of what they're talking about.

The realities of PM2.5 in Thailand revealed by ‘Check Dust’
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Poor writing (or no writing at all: Thanks Chat GTP) "The Check Dust application, utilising cutting-edge satellite technology and AI, revealed a disturbing reality with PM 2.5 concentrations reaching hazardous levels in several provinces, posing severe health risks to the populace." You see stuff like "... revealed a disturbing reality" you know it's Chat GTP. Just lazy psuedo journalism. Only thing sats have to do with it is GPS location of the ground units collecting the air quality samples. -

I've just been to Chiang Mai and someone told me to enjoy the view of the mountains because coming soon you won't be able to see them. Sadly the worst is yet to come. -
The realities of PM2.5 in Thailand revealed by ‘Check Dust’

Bangkok has consistently had high pm 2.5 for the last 3 months. It's rare to see a blue sky and the sun. Basically the sky is brown on a daily basis. -

PM Highlights Drug Crisis in His Parliament Address

Legalize everything with networks put in place to assist addicts. This of course will not happen as some very high up people would lose a very profitable income stream. -

Absolutely correct although the world really has soooooo much great food to offer. This is one of my favourites in Thailand. Kai mot daeng. Red ant's eggs salad. -

They are nice (pancake definition?) but I think rotis are the most popular "pancake" in Thailand. Muslim/Indian origin. -
Less than 5% pay rise for Thai employees this year
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The whole covid/inflation period in this time in the World's history has been an absolute travesty to the majority of the population and an absolute gold mine to a very, very, very small % of the World's population. For the last 4 yrs we have been witnessing a crime against humanity. -
Less than 5% pay rise for Thai employees this year
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Very little indeed. I wonder how many non-Thais actually got a reduction in pay. I also wonder how profits are going for the super rich. Very nicely I would think. -
Government Introduces Dust-Free Rooms for PM2.5 Protection
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
And what about everybody else who isn't in the dust free room in the hospital AKA basically the entire population. To be bragging about this just demonstrates the complete lack of grey matter between these empty headed idiot's ears. 2.5 161 where I am a couple of days ago. BMR. "....safeguarding vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions like asthma and heart disease." This number would be in the millions. Like putting a bandaid on a hemorrhage. -
Dengue Surge Hits Provinces with 8,000+ Cases

Pity they weren't focussing on this instead of Omicron. The sad truth is Thais are not exactly tidy people and this will continue. -

Three weeks of Songkran celebrations begin April 1st

No! This is not a 21 day holiday with 28 deadly days. It will be the same as every year. -
Soft coup. Only way to change to system now is to overthrow it. Paradoxically this Contitutional Court ruling may lead to what they say they are trying to stop and what they accuse the MFP of doing. Of course MFP only wanted to modify 112 not overthrow the constitutional monarchy.

Alas the majority of voters voted for the party that has the majority of seats, however, Thailand is a dictatorship by a minority elite and the will of the people through a democratic process will never come to fruition as long as the ruling elite maintain the power of the Senate and the courts. One cannot truly use the term democracy in reference to Thailand. Bit like the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Anything but a democracy.

Elected? Yes. Corrupt? Yes. Saying he should be behind bars is not "politically fueled hatred." It was his sentence. Imprisonment. A sentence which has not and will not be carried out. Not one day in a prison cell to which he was sentenced. As for Prayut and the rest of the dinasaurs I could really, really, really sprout some "politically fueled hatred." As for just punishment let's not forget where we are. The just in just punishment stands for justice. TIT. Many as we know are above this. Untouchable.

Pure and utter deflection. He should be in a jail cell a place he never was and never will be.

I know of some but they are in industrial areas so they cater to night workers also, but you are right. On the whole they are around the 6-10 mark. Sometimes there are none around at all and 711's are the most local shop.
