Pheu Thai Landslide Win Depends On 7 ‘Strategic’ Provinces: Academic
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Who ever gets in they are in it for themselves. Problem is the people's choice may not end up be the people's choice. This is what this article is about. Sad some don't see this. We'll have to wait and see but there's a chance that the will of people of Thailand will once again be corrupted. I hate to say this but in a way I would like to see this corrupted political system see Prayut returned as PM. This may be the only way forward for Thailand not by this fool being voted back in by his paid off lackies but as the catalyst for a people's revolution. What will the army do and what will those who cannot be commented upon do? Times have changed. Will Thailand change with it? Fairly sure I'll get the old sad, laughing, confused emojis but go a head. Pitty it's been anonymised. -

Thread is about Thai politics and the upcoming election. You asked .... I answered. The aricle is simply stating an educated opinion from someone with a PhD. two M.A.s and a B.A. with honours. Maybe this means nothing to you but to me shows his opinion should at the very least be considered with respect. Associate Professor Dr.Prajak Kongkirati Education: Courses Taught: Research Interests: Ph.D., Department of Political and Social Change, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia M.A. Political Science Department, University of Wisconsin-Madison M.A. History, Liberal Arts (excellent thesis award), Thammasat University B.A. Political Science (second class honors), Thammasat University PO 221 Political Parties, Interest Groups and Elections PO 311 Politics of the People’s Movements PO 320 Comparative Government and Politics PO 429 Seminar on Political Leadership Southeast Asian politics Thai history and politics Democratization and civil society State-society relations Electoral politics Political violence and ethnic conflict Human rights Social movements Citizenship and nationalism -

She's obviously guilty. Everyone on here says so. -

Political science is a subject of study at university. It has different streams. Personally my major was in political philosophy/political theory. I found it very difficult but very interesting but I am educated in the political sciences. Big words might be big words for you that mean nothing but for others not so. Dr. Prajak Kongkirati PhD. is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Political Sciences at Thammasat University. He attained his PhD from the Australian Nationlal University. This is a prestigious university. This means he's very smart and knows more about politics in Thailand than you, I or anyone else on this forum. -

"The Pheu Thai landslide dreams could possibly fizzle out in a nightmarish fiasco since most, if not all, of the 250 senators are invariably believed to never cast a yea vote for any contestant for prime minister named by this particular party, according to the Thammasat academic. The anti-Thaksin senators, all of whom had been handpicked by Prawit and Prayut following the 2014 coup, are only anticipated to either vote for the Palang Pracharath leader or the caretaker prime minister or bluntly abstain from voting, thus aborting the Pheu Thai’s bid for elected premiership." And there you have it. The reason for a people's revolution, followed by a coup. -

Well plenty of opinions here but no one seems to have mentioned that maybe this is about zero Baht tours. Maybe it is maybe it's not. Just a thought. -
Thailand’s cyanide serial killer claims another life, 14 victims so far

I guess there are people happy to see people executed and people who think it's barbarism from another age. -

Someone just got executed in Singapore. Involved? in trafficing 1kg of dope and he was executed because he had phone numbers on his phone. Ok probably/maybe involved but executed for this. An Iranian German has been sentenced to death for "corruption on Earth". Civilized society? Incarcerate not eradicate. I've said before if the death sentence is meant to be a detterent why are people still be sentenced to death. It's state sanctioned murder. -

I heard a big joke about a big joke but big joke said it wasn't a big joke then big joke said a big joke but others thought that wasn't a big joke then big joke said the big joke was a big joke but again most disagreed with big joke because they thought the big joke wasn't a big joke. -
Thailand offers 11 billion baht subsidy for low-income electricity bills
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You are absolutely correct. Everyone wanted Prayut as PM. I wonder why everyone except the elites/conservitives hate hiim. Senators voted for him because their pockets were filled by him. People know last time the goal posts were moved. Evreryone knows this ####### will do everything and anything to stay in power. I said this when he got into power through a coup d'etat. He's a general but not only that he's a megalomanic general. The majority of Thais hate him. As for "If the people don't agree they'll not vote for him again." they didn't vote for him last time. The senate, moving the goal posts, dissolving an entire political party through the bought off Constitution Court got him to be PM. Up to you if your a fanboy for a complete ####. The only way he'll be PM again is from not from a free and fair election and not from the will of the people. -
Thai Health Expert Warns Youth Against Smoking Weed
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Brains becomes fully developed in the mid twenties. I also find it amusing that the article states "children under 20 years old." Now I know there are plenty of manchilds around but IMO an 18 year old (old enough to vote) is not a child. -
Thai Health Expert Warns Youth Against Smoking Weed

Another quality headline. Article is basically a health expert saying it's illegal to sell to someone under 20, pregnant women, and breast-feeding women. Not exactly a health warning. -
Man discovers 3-metre tapeworm after eating raw meat
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Fair guess ‘soi chud’ (similar to Thai beef tartare), ‘larb’ (a sort of Thai minced meat salad), ‘lu’ (a raw Thai soup), or uncooked, fermented sausage won't be coming in 6th on any future look how good Thai food is article. Bit suprised that larb's there as that's usually cooked. -
Well I'm sorry you're not getting your head around the point I didn't say what you think I did but have a look at this and tell me if you can see the word tourism or tourist. @CartagenaWarlockHope you don't mind me quoting you here As you can see the words predicted and prediction are used by @CartagenaWarlock. My response was thus. Hopefully you can see from the above two posts that it's about the prediction of 30 mil now down to 25 million. Not an actual drop of 5 million tourists. Sorry you misunderstood my posts and sorry you accused me of spreading misinformation and being a dullard that needs to grow up.
-
No where did I say tourism has fallen 5 million in 3 months. If you can show me where please do. This is pure misrepresentation. I was commenting upon a previous post that said estimates in January was 30 million and today they're saying 25 million. It's not difficult if you take the time to read.
-
Think you've made a mistake quoting me. I didn't quote 30 million. Here's my post and your response. Feel free to remove this post.

The articles on here from TAT is information reported to the media to be shared with the public. That's how it works. Thing is they tend to release lots of information and predictions. Not sure and cant be bothered looking back but at least 3 articles this week and the week is not finished. As for saying some people on here 'need to grow up" and saying some people are "dullards who don't understand simple things." I think is a bit rude.
-
So down 5 million in 3 months. Maybe tomorrow up 2 mil. Nxt wk who knows. Fairly sure they said Songkran was mostly domestic tourists after Songkran. What was the TAT projection/projections before Songran? It just goes on ond on and most people tend not to believe the TAT projections. I guess some others do.
-
It would be nice to go back to their projections and see the actual numbers. Probably a bit difficult because they seem to come out with different numbers several times a week. As for mathematics as I remember it was changed to math in the US sometime in the early 1800's. Mathematics. English: Mathematics/Maths. American English: Mathematics/Math.
