  1. Absolute uncontolled price gauging going on in all sectors. We are be ripped off wholesale as profits (especially in the energy sector) are through the roof.
  2. take something with a pinch of salt idiom UK (US take something with a grain of salt) Add to word list to not completely believe something that you are told, because you think it is unlikely to be true: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/take-with-a-pinch-of-salt This is just another installment of the rubbish that people here are fed. It really is just so puerile. TV and other forms of media is the same. Feed you know what to the mushrooms and keep them in the dark. Keep doing it and people believe it. Tell a lie often enough and people will believe anything. Very old and effective way of social control.
  3. Let me just edit this a bit. "Thai rice exporters have a favourable horizon in 2023." Let's see how much baht per tonne goes up for the farmers.
  4. Thailand must have the longest caretaker govt in the world. Rest of the 'democratic' world. Parliamrnt dissolved. Election held. Votes counted. As this process happens the incumbent govt. is in caretaker status. This can last some time if voting is close. Not in Thailand though. Landslide victory against incumbent govt. yet results not yet official.
  5. So is it a functioning media company? This is just some Thais having their nose put out of place and as most on this forum know they don't like that. Time to grow up Thailand and the time is here. You dinasaurs your time of corrupt power has come to and end. GET OUT!
  6. When are these people going to get this correct. CARETAKER! There is a huge difference. Prayut is a caretaker PM. There must be a dissolution of parliament before a notional election. These guys are going along like there was no dissolution of parliament and no election.
  7. Says dust and fairly sure he wasn't rubbing the old wallpaper on his back. Taking down old wallpaper not putting it up so no glue except for dry residue involved. Can't see how taking down old wallpaper can result in a fairly severe back rash.
  8. Not sure how many articles I've read about the high quality of medical care in Thailand but here's some reality. Two hospitals yet to be diagnosed. If it's inhaled yes. But not this. Too me it looks like a massive heat rash that's got infected. Sweaty back lying on a dirty sheet. Some corticosteroid cream might sort it out. As for shingles I've always been told they are very painful and often form in lines.
  9. Previous post removed so I'll try again. This OP has been going for quite some time now and I'm suprised it's still active. Hasn't been a new covid article for some time now.
  10. More than that. I would guess the cost of this would be less than bt10.
  11. Fair chance no free lunch for teachers. That would dig into profits.
  12. Forgive me if I'm wrong but it is not the Thai Government any longer. It is a caretaker government. A caretaker govt which has been overwhelmingly voted out by the popular vote.
  13. So far I think it's pretty standard. Build up to the real wet season continues. Dams have been at lower capacities before at this time of year. Rains are becoming more frequent. Storm clouds are building. Alawys the same this time of the year. Probably break next month IMO.
  14. Long range is a 6hr+ flight. Maybe they're going to bomb Australia?
  15. Meanwhile the director is buying another Benz and adding to their bank account and collection of gold.
  16. It would seem whomever came up with this acronym has about the same brain capacity as the acronyms namesake. Here's a good one. Maybe the acronym people could employ me. Foreign And Economic Commitee's Economic Stimulation.
  17. Absolutely certain you will find this "indfference" coming soon if Pita is disqualified.
  18. Yes a bunny or two is quite nice once you get the buckshot out but this is what I miss....
  19. Why? Chinese restaurants everywhere in Aus. Or do you mean peking duck exported into Thailand from Australia?
  20. BUTT! No rain next month. That's what the experts say. What a bunch of morons running the show here. Rain. No rain. Inflation at lowest point. Egg prices at highest point. Tourist numbers up. Tourist numbers down. Exports down. Economy up. Etc., etc. There's only one thing you can bank on. Thai baht is strong.
  21. The shame is not on the majority of Thai people. Fairly sure they feel embarrased and very, very angry.
  22. Are these people actually adults? It's just pitiful. .... [The] shares have been delisted from the Stock Exchange of Thailand for about fifteen years. This is just insane. The people want change, they voted for it and they should and will have it. Question is how much blood needs to be spilled to get it. The fat pocketed, trough swilling, military bastions of the three pillar dinasaurs lost but they cannot accept the possibility of losing their power. Bad luck. It will happen. Accept it now or drag the whole country down, possibly in flames. I wish I could say what I really want to but that certainly would not be allowed here.
