They did win the election and won it convincingly. They were dinied their rightful place in office by the Junta's non-elected senators. 51% is to form government in your own right but this is virtually impossible in Thailand. They got 37.99% of the vote which is huge. They also won 10 more seats than PTP. It was the non-elected Senators who went against the will of the people and denied MFP their democratic right to office.
