  1. Thaksin is mearly a citizen and a convicted criminal on bail at that. Pita is a parliamentarian and the rightful winner of the last election. Ask anyone from another country who doesn't know what's going here who has the greater right to be checking on the fires situation in Chiang Mai and the answer would be obvious. Mr. Anusorn Iamsa-ard is just a puerile idiot for saying this. A little boy having a tantrum.
  2. I think plenty of people who want dope to stay legalized have to take some of the blame. Smoking dope at a concert? Not a good idea. Basically if you can't puff on a cig then don't puff on a joint. A minority of idiots once again making it bad for the majority. Walking down a street puffing a joint? No. On the beach where there are families around? No. Anywhere that people can object is not a good thing IMHO. Having said this my stance on drug legalization has been constant for decades. Legalize ALL drugs.
  3. Good idea. Thaksin becomes PM. Miltary covertly starts civil discent aka ping pong bombs planted around BKK + 5th columists to stir afforementioned civil discent (aka army) and you have your next coup.
  4. The big problem with the next election IMO is the voters know that their votes mean nothing and the whole electoral process is a farce.
  5. I've seen plenty of article fluffing on here before but this is rediculous.
  6. I have to disagree with the now part. This has been known for ages. Everyone knew a deal had been done. I'm sure PT are carefully watching their backs as they share the same bed with the devil. Always keep in mind the military/elite will do anything and everything to maintain their power.
  7. Camel and emu (EEMYOU not EEMOO for you Americans) are both good. Ostrich I've had in Thailand (Ratchaburi) and it was ok.
  8. Very neutral white meat. Good rare to medium rare roo steak cooked properly is great. Crocs a bit tasteless IMO.
  9. And they're absolutely delicious. I do miss eating roo. Apart from that the corruption at that table is massive.
  10. "You might guess that the phrase is Australian in origin, but it seems to have started in Texas. The "kangaroo" may have referred to Gold Rush era claim jumpers — miners who illegally took other people's land claims and were then tried in one of these quick, mock courtrooms." https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/kangaroo court#:~:text=You might guess that the,of these quick%2C mock courtrooms. Just for a bit of trivia knowledge.
  11. Three PMs, one dinner I believe this picture has been photoshopped. You may well ask why. Well I can't see the puppet strings. Definite image manipulation.
  12. 2025. Thailand the Hub of Tourism.
  13. I find happiness among my loved ones as my health improves : Thaksin I find happiness in my wealth and power : Thaksin
  14. Agree. Here's one: Thailand: The Hub of Decade Old Rice.
  15. And 12:00 am-11:00. Don't forget this. Alcohol is only for purchase at 711's, supermarkets etc in Thailand for only 10 hrs a day. Just insane. Of course where tourists go bars and restaraunts continue to serve.
  16. They were taken down by 250 unelected senators put in by the Junta. They won the election with just under 38% of the vote grabbing 151 seats and in Thailand that's a landslide. Pita was cleared of the bogus charge of shareholding in a (defunct) media company is correct but it was enough to prevent him from being PM. The only way to change the system is to get the military out because this is the only way that a party that wants to change the system can get in. If this is not clearly evident then nothing is.
  17. No need for now. PT coalation has more than enough targets on their backs. The Thaksin sham can wait.
  18. On an individual basis yes but not during the ceremony. Kids on on their knees crawling and kowtowing to infont of lines of teachers. I've done 19 of these so I have some experience in this regards you might say.
  19. Kowtowing should be banned in schools. It goes hand in hand with not questioning teachers and one must respect and not challenge authority. As for your comment that being good in a classroom isn't anything special to me this says you've never been in a Thai classroom. As for teachers not being rewarded enough you are spot on with this one.
  20. Sadly next time round MFP will not exist and Pita will be barred from politics for 10 yrs. The military has already decided this and the judges have been handed their verdicts and substantial brown paper bags.
  21. Fairly sure us not Political Science and Law lecturers on here have been saying this for rather some time now. Everyone knows he has never stopped being the puppeteer.
  22. How about a simple thing like being good in the classroom? The whole kowtowing thing isn't about teacher appreciation. It's about forced subserviance which one must have throughout one's life.
