Anutin is just trying avoid wasting Thai administration resources and Fehr's money. Fehr's visa has already been canceled and even if the appeal is successful in a court, Anutin indicates he can deport Fehr. Anutin is also sending a clear message to all foreigners, Thailand doesn't tolerate foreigners who assault Thai people and try to buy their way out of situations that causes social unrest.

Foreigner's Shocking Behavior On Soi 4 Sparks Outrage in Bangkok [videos]
Banana7 replied to george's topic in Bangkok News
Lots of HISO people here seem to want to crucify him for have an urgent need to discard some bad food. You don't know the reasons why he did for what he did, and perhaps you haven't had an emergency situation like he experienced. He didn't mean to tarnish Buddah, he just used what was available to return to respectable state in society. -
I don't gurn, I say it with a straight face, it's a rip-up job. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Beach Road has been ripped up, as bad or worse, than shown above, 3 times in the last 10 years. Your photos show a complete replacement or new construction of the complete walkway, not a rip-up, in my opinion. In about 3+ years, maybe sooner, there will be some new reason to rip up the street again. After all, the new multiple million baht storm sewers on Beach Road are still inadequate and the street floods multiple times and washes away many parts of the beach, each and every year. So they need to be replaced or redesigned causing replacement of walkways, roadways, perhaps even some utilities. The huge temporary pumps aren't adequate, are an eye sore and are an after thought to try to compensate for inadequate engineering design. I don't know anything about what others have stated, the brown envelopes need to keep flowing, to support payments for certain fancy houses, cars, etc. I imagine lots are currently flowing from the Jomtien beach road job, and will continue for 2 or 3 years. They could double-up the take, by finding/making new reasons.

I bought some gin there, and it didn't taste or smell authentic/genuine when compared to the same bottle purchased at major supermarkets. Buyer beware!

Seems like the new beautiful Beach Road walkway is almost finished, but now they have started ripping up the new tiles already and basically wrecking the walkway. No sooner is the sidewalk laid, and they start ripping it up again. Why can't the Pattaya City Engineering department plan, organize, lead and control civil engineering projects so that the city roadways, walkways are not consistently under construction and are fully usable? Why can't they coordinate all of the utilities so the job gets done once right, the first time and on-time, on budget and on quality. It just seems like a waste of money to dig twice in a year. Are they doing this on purpose just to make the project bigger, and more costly? How come we never hear of anyone in City Hall getting fired for incompetence? Here are 2 photos of digging and there are other locations too.

Thai doctor offered bribe to drop lawsuit in Swiss scandal
Banana7 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Looks like the Prosecutors in Phuket are on Swiss guy's payroll, trying to reduce the charges for his benefit. Phuket Police and the Prosecutor's office needs to be cleaned out. The doctor is smart enough to not accept any money to settle this matter, so that the Police can't claim the matter has been settled. I wonder what will be the swiss guy's next step? Maybe hire 3rd parties to physically teach her a lesson or make her disappear? -
One major issue with Thailand bank apps and all their electronic banking is that they do not guarantee that apps are 100% hack proof. They don't protect the consumer against unauthorized transactions. Even if it is the banks fault of an unauthorized transaction, as indicated in many news articles, the bank will take months to reimburse the victims.

I went through this thread again, and I don't see any recommendations from you other than to clean the rebar connection and in this last post, about getting a insulation tester. The original question has never been answered, "how to find the voltage leak source to the ground wire". The voltage is getting into the ground wire and yes, verified by the using a volt meter and a voltage sensor and if the water valve grounding is disconnected, there is tingling feeling when touching the shower hose. This is not answering the question, what is the source! I am eager to try most any practical solution. What do you think about pulling the neutrals out of the breaker box, and if one neutral stops the voltage into the ground, then examine/replace that circuit or suspect components attached to the circuit?
-
Anybody have any ideas on how to find where the voltage is going to the ground wire, even when all the breakers are turned off?
-
In the distribution room, rebar is old (30-35 yrs.) completely rusty. I don't have access to the distribution room right now, its locked. What is TT? Tingle disappears when the ground wire is connected to the brass water valve, which controls the water coming into the condo. Could the leak be increasing my electricity consumption/bill?
-
Why do you think it is capacitive coupling when all the breakers are off? I do feel a slight tingle on the shower hose. That big wire connected to the ground bar runs to the power distribution room for the entire floor, and is connected to exposed building rebar. I own the condo. I appreciate your help!
-
One lead is on the ground circuit, second is on a brass value on the water line. Voltage goes to zero, if the ground circuit is connected to the brass valve. If the ground circuit is not connected to the brass valve, with all breakers on or off, I can feel a slight tingling when touching metallic shower hose. This is in an old condo, and the building has no inherent ground wiring.

It's difficult to judge. The balcony is private property, and one can do as they please on their property. If you are looking from a public space into private property, the looker maybe considered a peeping tom, and therefore committing a crime. Looking into other people's homes isn't polite.
-
It is 4.5 volts in the ground line. How do I find the source of this voltage? I turn off all the individual breakers, but it doesn't disappear until the main breaker is off.
-
I don't want to argue with you, but I disagree with your comment. My voltage sensor has proven to very valuable and effective tool when doing any electrical work.

Thai government plans 7% VAT on imported goods from May
Banana7 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It's silly to tax goods of small value because the cost and effort to do so is above the value gained. It probably costs 50-100 baht just to calculate and collect the tax, and far more if the tax is not prepaid. So for a 100b item, 7b is tax but costs 50b to collect, so the government loses 43b.- 63 replies

When a voltage sensor is touched to a ground wire, it signals a little bit of AC voltage. I turned off all the individual breakers, try isolating the bleeding circuit, and still the ground wire shows a little bit of voltage. Finally, I turned off the main breaker and now the ground wire shows no voltage. How do I find what is leaking to the ground circuit?

Try LK Metro. Walking street is a late start, 23:00-2400; Chiyapum is also active. Soi 6, should go early, 6 or 7pm, good ones disappear quickly.

In my opinion, all who provide that info to Thai authorities will be a great risk of identity theft or worse. There are lots of stories in the media, about Thai government database info being shared with third parties, and available for purchase on the dark web. Of course, not all data sharing is made public and reported in news media. Even info provided to Thai embassy and immigration, has been provided to third parties, I have personal experience in this matter.

Pattaya City to Close Part of Sukhumvit Road for Construction
Banana7 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I hope they proceed with 24 hours a day 7 days a week construction. That area always has heavy traffic. There seem to be no residential buildings on that section of the road. Lots of times, there is nobody, or only 2 or 3 people, on the job in many of Pattaya's public road construction job sites. Sometimes there is no progress for weeks. -
Looks like there are multiple Sukhawadee House facilities. One did get torn down. Does anyone know what the public beach land depth is from the high water mark?
