  1. Post a photo the drunk lady's license plate and a photo of her, here onto the internet. Whenever involved in any motor vehicle accident always take photos of opposing parties and gather as much evidence as possible, for your own protection. Evidence can go missing or be "forgotten" especially if the other party has "special" connections or friends or lots of fat brown envelopes.
  2. I haven't found any Keto diet friendly restaurants in Pattaya. The major issue with most restaurants in Thailand is that one or more of the following is in the meal or dish: sugar, starch, syrups, honey, MSG, wheat or seed oils, or that it has been fried in oil that is too old.
  3. This is irrelevant. This discussion is about Thai banks, not US banks.
  4. Pattaya City Hall Officials should also meet with Thai Immigration to improve services for foreigners if Pattaya wants to improve their image as a world class destination. For years, immigration service for Pattaya,at the Jomtein location, have been overcrowded and with slow processing times. Sometimes the line-ups are out into the street. Immigration services for foreigners need to be much faster, more convenient and easier. They need to improve the immigration services processing of visa renewals, TM30s, extensions, and all other services.
  5. We met on on Thaifriendly 15 years ago.
  6. Any gifts given to any person who is the President of The United States of America are gifts given to the President and as such, are gifts to United States, not personal gifts, given to the person. The State Department should retain title to the gifts, and the gifts should remain property of the State, not of the person temporarily occupying a government position.
  7. What city did your friend find the $8 hotel room?
  8. Plant is now fully operational, loading first commercial cargo this week. No BS. This first phase produces 14M tons per year of LNG, second phase is looking for new customers, which will double capacity to 28 million tons per year. No sense in waiting for Alaska LNG https://www.thefreepress.ca/news/lng-canada-produces-first-commercial-ready-liquefied-natural-gas-8089444 https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-lng-canada-liquefied-natural-gas-shipment-asia/ https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/bc-premier-david-eby-celebrates-production-start-at-lng-canada-plant-in-kitimat/ar-AA1HuZYZ https://www.langleyadvancetimes.com/news/lng-canada-produces-first-commercial-ready-liquefied-natural-gas-8089444
  9. See for yourself; https://www.lngcanada.ca/who-we-are/about-lng-canada/ LNG Canada will export Canadian natural gas to Asian markets, putting Canada on the global map of LNG exporting countries and creating a world-leading LNG industry in British Columbia and Canada. Using LNG from B.C. has the potential to greatly reduce those countries’ greenhouse gas emissions, resulting in significant net global greenhouse gas reductions while significantly improving air quality. Through a combination of energy efficient natural gas turbines and renewable electricity from BC Hydro, our project will emit less than half the greenhouse gas emissions of the average LNG facility currently in operation. LNG Canada operates in an environment of continuous and demonstrable improvement. We work with governments to develop innovative policy solutions that position B.C. and Canada as leaders in energy development, reconciliation and environmental stewardship. Below photos are from November 2024
  10. Thailand should also look at Canada. LNG Canada, on the west coast, phase 1 will begin shipping later this year. Multiple other LNG plants on Canada's west coast are currently being built or are under consideration, and will be built far before anything emerges from Alaska. Phase 2 is looking for new customers. During winter, lots of icebergs near Alaska's port that can delay shipping.
  11. Those rare earths are also used by hundreds of electric vehicle manufacturers like BYD, mostly Chinese manufacturers. The old Chinese slogan applies "get the money and get out".
  12. Sad to hear you are still following the "standard of care" model of health care where the medical practitioner/doctor prescribes treatment for the symptom, not the root cause of your condition. Look on the internet, youtube, there are ways to avoid rosacea and perhaps eliminate its re-occurance forever. Try searching youtube with Dr. Berg, or Dr. Ekberg or Dr. William Davis, and rosacea. I am not a medical doctor nor am I dispensing medical advice.
  13. This happens often. The Police just want to close the case quickly and avoid difficult, long, extensive expensive investigations. It's just another Indian, and there are more than a billion more. Earlier this month, in Pattaya, an old foreigner is found dead on his bed, in a rented condo, no signs of violence or trauma. They automatically assume heart attack. Body is sent to Bang Lamung hospital for storage, then 10 days later to the police hospital in Bangkok for autopsy. Autopsy confirms heart attack but no toxic substance testing. Autopsy should be performed within 24 hours of death to avoid tissue decay and to get accurate test results, especially toxicological tests. Lots of foreigners get drugged, and perhaps over-drugged, by short time visitors. I have had 3 friends drugged and robbed in Pattaya, all survived to tell the tale. One friend got drugged in Las Vegas, but didn't survive.
  14. Absolutely ridiculous treatment by the Police saying the death is "suspicious". It is an outright murder or homicide.
  15. The city and the PEA need to be held responsible for these electrocutions. Whoever owns the power pole is 100% responsible for maintaining it. Who pays the power bill needs to pay for the death, minimum 5,000,000 baht plus medical plus funeral expenses.
  16. I recommend 22c for the most frequently used rooms and 28C for the other rooms.
  17. Hungry hippo 239b roast beef, Soi Buakhow near tree town
  18. Immigration certainly know the names, passport details, photos and finger prints of the over stayers. Run one query against their database and have the answer back in an hour ( depending on the computer system ). They probably have the query already programmed, with detailed breakdowns by country passport, number in Thailand, number authorized for 60 days, number over stayed based on 60 days, etc. etc. As for foreigners owning businesses in Thailand, just go to the Ministry that registers the companies and directors, run a query against their database, and identify all directors without Thai Id numbers. Then go and visit the non-Thai directors, based on last location from immigration database. Of course a lot of data may not be up to date, and many small businesses may not be registered. But the database probably does contain the big fish, so fry the big ones first. Also fry the lawyers or consultants who assisted in establishing the nominee companies for foreigners. When one of these consultants is found, go through their files and bank accounts, to find other foreigners running companies. Nothing complicated here. I am just wondering who is benefiting from not doing the work or who has been blocking the work?
  19. It takes a few months, maybe even a year for THB to start responding to US tariffs. For example: The U.S. plans tariffs of up to 3,521% on solar panels from Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Nearly $12B in imports could be impacted. Timing hasn't been announced. Also, Chinese built ships and Chinese owned ships will experience significantly higher US port fees starting in Oct. 2025, but continuing to increase in the months and years thereafter. So this will also increase the landed costs of Thai imports into US, if the exporters are using Chinese ships. Non-Chinese ships will be increasing their rates. Maybe the Chinese will get sneaky- take the cargo close to US and then transfer it to a non-chinese ship at sea which brings the cargo into a USA port. Something like what the Russians do with their oil, transfer at sea, to a ship that has never been in a Russian port. Anyways, the transfer at sea will cost $$, and USA may take other action to make transfer-at-sea less desirable.
  20. He lost the house and got booted out of Thailand. Now in Cambodia.
  21. One way you can lose property, like a house, is if you don't pay taxes. A friend bought land and a house, put it in company name. Four years later the tax department show up at his door and said we haven't received any tax returns from you and we don't think you are running a company/business. We are confiscating your house.
  22. I understand that the directors hire/determine/appoint the Managing Director of the company, and this person is responsible for managing the company overall, same as a Chief Executive Officer or President. Who is the managing director?
  23. They will sign off even if there are irregularities, else the audit won't be complete. They might add a sentence or two deviating from the standard compliance statement if they find irregularities. Also, the audit depth and verification process will have a significant impact on the final statement. Whoever was the auditor in the old TG, didn't reveal irregularities such as free flights authorized by management. Once I tried to buy a business class ticket on TG from CNX to BKK and they were sold out, so I bought economy class. Once I got on the flight, most of business class was filled with children. Talked to one kid and he said someone's dad worked for the airline and they all got a free flight.
