I was going to post a similar response but the above covers most of it. Despite what some post on this site there are some excellent, honest and competent lawyers in Thailand, I have one. There is a provision in Thai Law to bring a private prosecution if the police dont act within a certain period of time. Again you need advice on this from a lawyer and the categories it covers.

Totally agree one to be aware of is climbing ladders One year ago almost to the day I fell off a ladder onto concrete spent a month in hospital had five operations to fix the fractures in the leg and since had the torn tendons in the shoulder repaired. Has made me realize that I am 71 not 41, agree with the above.

I don’t expect them to be but when the hotel is ok and Agoda are impossible to contact well says it all to me Doesn’t matter they are the losers and caused me to look for better deals and service which I know obtain.

I agree, I used Agoda for many years until about 18 months ago. Due to Covid our overseas flights were cancelled so we had to cancel two hotels the hotels were ok but Agoda refused the refunds. Also almost possible to make contact with them. Also unless it’s changed the price they show doesn’t include VAT or other taxes they add on at the end. They have lost me as a customer.

First 3Mil GPO acquired ATKs arrive

My thoughts exactly, if I am telling friends about something I have purchased I don’t start the discussion by telling them that it wasn't stolen or obtained illegally. -
Myself and several other expat, non Thais, visitors or whatever you want to call us received our AZ vaccine before many other Thais we know.

Usually when you post a balanced view or the true situation on this site you are berated, called a Thai apologist then sent to stand in the naughty boys corner. As a former lawyer I have been insulted and accused of many things, but paid well for the privilege, so it’s water off the ducks back to me.

I don’t think it’s particularly hard to be able to gain entry to live here even if you are not “rich.” I don’t consider having access to 800.000 baht or half that amount if married as meeting that definition.. A fifty year old Thai with access to that amount of money would not be able to enter Australia visa free and remain indefinitely or in fact most other countries I have visited and probably neither would I.

Are the Insurance Companies in agreement with this ? Doesn't affect me but both of our car policies state that the driver must hold a current and valid licence.

AstraZeneca-Pfizer vaccine mix to be employed from October
StevieAus replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
If you care to read the leaflet that comes with the vaccines and most medications listing all the potential side effects you might feel deterred from taking anything. If you are so concerned you option is simple abstain. -
AstraZeneca-Pfizer vaccine mix to be employed from October

Each year the experts decide which four strains are to be included in the flu vaccine. Doctors often mix drugs such as antibiotics nothing new there. -
It probably doesn’t matter what mix you have at the moment as it seems the vaccination certificate doesn’t meet their requirements. Australia is having similar problems I believe.

If you go into any government department on a Monday you will see everyone wearing a uniform usually a light brown beige color with gold insignia. Obviously something they do here. -

Exit Thailand On British Passport
StevieAus replied to Siamesepiggster's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
You mention that you don’t have time to renew the Thai passport, they are very quick here they even take the photographs, although I suppose it depends how far you have to travel. We renewed our daughters Thai passport in.Chiang Mai about 3 moths ago at lunchtime on the Monday arrived at our home by Thai Post EMS the Wednesday morning. -
Exit Thailand On British Passport

In the UK you don’t pass through Immigration when leaving the country. -
The original post was about who makes money out of farmers, I continued the theme. Nothing to do with fish, rice or any other specific product.

I think farmers get ripped off in most countries I have friends in the UK who farm beef cattle. They told me how much they get for one cow then look at the price of steak on sale. They reckon supermarkets are the worse culprits and farmers are trying to avoid dealing with them.
