You could always try asking  fredob43. He appears pretty clued up.

I can sense a yellow or red card coming !

My only suggestion would be to try Forum support desk

     Android and iOS App Support

If you have technical problems or general questions how to use the forum, please post here or email us at support[at]thaivisa.com

    Cheers.....     Mal.

Thanks to you Malt25 ( nothing to do with the recent kerfuffle about home brewing by any chance?) as well as to the global mudderators for not red flagging a poor chap needing help or a good man offering it.

    :smile::thumbsup:

ps my MIL comes from your neck of the woods. You might see her on her broom at nights whizzing through the sky....

Ah-ah! Thanks for the kind words, Alan...

Interior has just been done a few months ago. Very, very good work and nice finish touches...

Though, according to the original '67 VW chart, for my Red Ruby Beetle the interior ought to be platinum (a kind of dark grey) for the cloth and black for the leatherette, as stated here:

But at the end I felt it was too dark (not even considering the thai hot weather), so I went for something clearer and fancier with a white sunroof, beige/caramel color tones and a crimson edging around the seats.

Hey gobs my friend, as I said earlier, I am not much of a VW (Stuttgart) man but more of an Austrian ( Bavaria) man but your motor looks <deleted>****g awesome.

Monster  amount of kudos for your care and effort there

not so sure about the the furry toys in the rear sill, do they nod and have the eyes light up as a third brake light?

Please, tell me that you are NOT an Aussie.

I'll give you another clue.  You posted something about "rings a bell".  I replied with, so did Quasimodod. It obviously went right over your head. It was a humorous,  throw away line. A bit of a play on words. It did get at least one like, so someone did get it.

Try Mr Google. If you have an IQ above your age, you just might comprehend.

Hey guys, my gf ( Esmeralda) has pointed out we are getting a bit off subject here and dangerously close to the overlords (Global Mudderators) issuing punishments to all and sundry........

ps Esmeralda and Quasimodo are linked...........

  4. I feel a great deal of sympathy for you my friend. Coming off an addiction no matter what it is can be hellush. I am afraid I cannot help other than to suggest a gradual reduction in your intake. It might be easier than going cold turkey.

You have already passed the biggest hurdle in admitting to yourself that there is a problem. With the help of your partner a gradual reduction might be the cheapest and possibly the most successful answer.

I am am not a doctor so this is just a thought.

good luck to you my friend and know you are not alone!

I'm finding this is becoming plagued with Thai adverts.... They seems to just butt in while you're watching, and then freeze  before continuing - often 3-4 times before returning to the streaming video.  Sometime lose the streaming video for 4-5 minutes whilst the Thai ad plays (even though it's only around 5 seconds in total).  Anyone else experience this or know how to avoid it???

Not sure but wouldn't an ad blocker do the trick? I use FilmOn and never seen an advert yet ( I have ad blocker on my iPad)

  6. Not a beetle man myself, prefer the other German manufacturer ( well Austrian really) but I have to hand it to you guys you have some cracking motors there.

    i genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm

now if I could just find a good body shop ( paint job) for my motor in Khorat.........

Wish I still had this one, bought it off  mum around 1982, needed body work done and a rotted drivers door, which a breakers had. Changed the colour from silver to black. Sadly back then they didn't have an overdrive gear, but the 3 litre V6 and auto box were sweet, plus full Independent suspension...1975 Ford Granada Ghia....

You didn't have hidden blue flashing lights behind the front grille did you? I met a chap that did on the A1 once........

No moon roof. Took me a few days to get used to the engine cut out and restart at lights etc.

never had that before and in the first few hours I thought it had a problem until it clicked what was happening. Still really liked the thing though, the other problem was motorway and the fact that you were moving a lot faster than you thought, easy to get caught out on the B roads as well.

    Like the old riddle goes;

what is is the difference between a hedgehog and a Volvo?

    A) On a hedgehog, the pricks are on the outside........

I had a 740 turbo when they first came out. Spent the best part of the first year in the dealers getting new wiring, new gearbox never really had the chance to try it out properly.

It's really weird that you're all worked up about what I posted. When really all I said was for the vast majority of people presenting themselves in the same situation to immigration in thailand, they would not get the same treatment. And I din't say it was a bad thing either.

Yet, somehow because of my comment, I'm the one that's delusional? Yes, very strange  the way you've reacted with personal attacks

I think you better re read your post which drips with misguided sarcasm as well as stopping just short of accusing me of being a liar.

It's not funny it's not even entertaining it's just ...

bah ah I give up. I am not an educator, certainly not a free one.

    Work it it out yourself.

With all due respect,i would not like to be the would be thief that tried to relieve my mrs of any of her gold. She weighs in at 40 kilos and carries a Stanley knife in her purse .She would have no problem in gutting some little shit that tried to take any of her trinkets. But notwithstanding that little idiosyncrasy,i love her to bits.

Remind me to be on my best behaviour next time I am in or passing through Khonkaen !
