  1. this will fall on deaf ears. tax-sin and his cronies have already made HIS mind up. pot heads will be ushered back to jail even if booze and nicotine are worse. funny... it is being legalised elsewhwere in the world.
  2. i gotta be 1st, i gotta be 1st, i gotta be 1st, then i gotta write a 1 line meaningless comment... oh no! i just missed being 1st!!!!
  3. hey scott, in north american english it doesnt mean anything worth getting upset over. it means for us... annoyed, tired of... : brit definition adjective VULGAR SLANG•BRITISH 1. (of a person) extremely tired. "when I got there I was absolutely buggered" seriously harmed or damaged. "the tumble left me with a bruised knee and a buggered arm" --> i did not know it meant sodomy in british slang. colloquialisms can make something banal into a totally different thing somewhere else.... american usage: Tired, broken or ruined; “These bathers are buggered now.” Bugger (Noun/verb/adjective) A mild profanity that’s also one of the most versatile words in Australian English. Exclamation; “Bugger! I dropped some more avo on myself.” A term of sympathy; “Look at that poor bugger with avo all over his bathers.” Tired, broken or ruined; “These bathers are buggered now.” An annoying thing; “These avo-stained bathers a bit of a bugger.” An impolite instruction; “Bugger off and change into some clean bathers.”
  4. thanks. then 'sleeping becomes a gerund' similar to a noun. it could be misconstrued as the friend's name being playing. the effort is noble, but the meaning gets lost. i dont think this sentence of my op can actually be turned to the passive voice and still make sense. it fits all the parameters, but then it just doesnt make sense. thanks andre720...
  5. dont rack yourself over it. oh i forgot... it can also be an adverb... __> he fell asleep just tell her she can say -- he is sleeping - he is asleep. and if she can afford to make fun of the language she is either too good for it, or very poor at it. let it be not worth it
  6. if anything like you , judgmental and short sighted biggoted like you, i prolly wouldnt want to teach them too. you put forward a flaming post based on my omitting capital letters? what a maroon i bet you teach your kids the world is flat.
  7. either “Sleep” can be used as a noun and as a verb. “Asleep” is an adjective, so that means these words take different positions in sentences. For example: “He's sleeping.” In that sentence, “sleeping” is used in the progressive tense, “He is sleeping.” It's a verb.
  8. money talks and bu!1 sh!t walks. you sound like drunk homer when he thought he was being classy with a lampshade over his head
  9. useless comments so far not taking the subject anywhere. --> get out TROLL if you cannot participate
  10. oh, i bet you were called that by lesser beings
  11. Sorry this does not answer the question using AI when i cant find a satisfactory answer? why not? murky waters? please explain your reasoning on this one... because i am an english teacher chatting on a blog i have to follow all the norms of grammar and punctuation? really? nahhhh... i type with one hand and adding apostrophes and capitalising ... no just cos you dont want to teach something doesnt mean you shouldnt at least try to understand it. try teaching SAT if you dont understand the passive. when your paying students ask WHY what will you answer? you will likely look like a chump teacher. then stick to teaching 2 year old kids, probably the right level for you guess you cant answer so you come try to make an arse of yourself with a snide remark thanks your the only one who actually tried to honestly answer the question. but the meaning seems weird. i came up with the same answers you did, but how is a friend played with. my friend is not a toy, not an object. the meaning gets distorted. if all else fails, hide your ignorance with a stupid comment that shows your standing in society. creepy is your comment
  12. yet he outmaneuvered move forward. a dangerous man he is -- dont sell him short, yet.
  13. i have been <deleted> by a sentence i taught to my students. --> I played with my friend yesterday./Yesterday I played with my friend. knowing that the passive voice cannot be construed with intransitive verbs i checked to make sure play, as in my examples, is not intransitive and as per my example it is transitive. play can be intransitive but it then does not quite mean the same thing as my sentence. this is the best chat gpt came up with... the chatgpt answer seems perverted a bit i would appreciate an explanation as to why my example cannot be 'passive voiced' regards
  14. only one reason for this Tax-sin (taksin)
  15. do they know what that means? coercion... close to corruption, innit?
  16. no tests like blood tests etc... you meet a psychiatrist, not a psychologist, and you sescribe your symptoms. generally adults who were adhdh as kids develop chronic fatigue as an adult. the doctor will prescribe you ritalin or concerta. it costs around 10 000bht a month. better go to gvt hospital cos its cheaper. these drugs are illegal if you dont have a scrip. PM me if you have questions...
  17. meaningless post. what are you trying to say exactly?
  18. cant he self donate before surgey? my doctor had me do that before my knee replacement
