Canadian man and Thai woman murdered in Khon Kaen
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
this is a fact. just like the north american natives -
i guarantee you that at the primary level they can. they just dont want to cos it makes them work. another problem, and for some reason it is even worst with foreigners, they could hire a tutor, but they just dont want to pay. also, many just cant afford it. one thing i did notice is that asians hire tutors way more than us farang.

gambling is a real bad addiction.... no doubts about that... it tears many families apart and for some reason asians really love it. in canada (i can only speak for canada) the casinos are filled with chinese way more than caucasians. however, this damned dowry thing is kind of archaic. as far as i know, it usually is given to the groom so he can use it to found his family. i dunno, but is it popular in other cultures to give it to the mothers? in this case, it is probably better that it is not given to the groom... he would just squander it away on gambling anyways. of course i could google it, but does anyone know off hand?

totally agree... but must not forget the parents who dont get involved in their kids education (checking on homework, explaining concepts kids dont understand) and who are quick to protest if their kids get in trouble or get poor scores. education belongs to society and all must work together to make it work

and some here were criticizing the guy who posted looking for a tutor uni graduate but not from rajabat. the issue is that most thai teachers working in schools now never followed a single class in academics. the new generation has to have a b ed in education but this has only come about in the last 10 years or so. back in canada no one is supposed to teach unless having undergone a b ed

Taiwan seeking answers over hit and run death in Bangkok
Pouatchee replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
this just goes to show how much you know about thailand. you hypothesize a sum but offer no way on how they can collect it. wake up bub, this is thailand and no way the grieving taiwanese are gonna get compensation. stick to what you know even if that might be difficult for you -

'oh the poor thais' give it a couple months, or years... if you last... have problems at immi like most of us long term expats here... get scammed by cops in a car accident or... just maybe or... nearly die going to a hospital... unfortunately the poor taiwanese had to die and find out the hard way how thailand works. by my guess you have recently fallen in love with some thai guy or girl and still have you UV pink lense glasses on... newbie -

thanks for your support. unfortunately, you are that bad. 90% of your posts here are inflammatory against other members. sure, some people enjoy comments like yours but unfortunately they are in vain. -

Parent’s tutor requirements spark online debate over Rajabhat University
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
what is your problem with @Purdey expressing his opinion of the thai education system? dont you follow the news? thailand ranks way down at the bottom of the pit. you dont think that correlates with the quality of the teachers and education system? bleeding hearts as yourself become utmost tedious at all times. it is what it is, innit? -

Thai restaurant owner loses 600,000 baht during family trip to France
Pouatchee replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Financial loss warning Thalerngsak contacted a Thai restaurant owner in Lyon who helped them report the incident to the police. They then obtained a police report to claim insurance. from 'the thaiger' yup, smells like scam... so his inferred message is, for thais, get insurance so you can scam them and come back home wealthier than when you left. -

anyone can say anything on here. hey, i gave 100 000$ to unicef last year. not. you dont understand human nature it seems. no one in their right mind chooses poverty, and if they do then they are not in their right mind and need help. in your original quote you said that she is managing. how do you know that? as i said... heartless you are -
The Emotional Response to the Viral Tiktok Video
Pouatchee replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
that is the most inconsiderate, heartless and low-life comment a person can make. sometimes life deals you a losing hand no matter how hard you try. you better pray nothing like that ever happens to you or one of your loved ones. -
as long as their is a no fail policy in place the thai education system is sure to reep what it sows. back home, if i failed, i would have to take the year over again. here, the teachers give the missing points to ensure the kids get at least 50%. by now, the parents of the kids in the system today know that the kids cannot be failed because the very system that passed them is passing their kids. moreover, seeing how schools here are run like a business, the "i want my child to be happy" is what rules the roost. somchai's feelings cannot be hurt by him failing. the kids dont want to earn their grades, for the most part, and the teachers are underpaid and have no other choice than pass the kids on to the next year

there is something that seems new in chrome i only discovered recently. if you move your mouse over the open tabs at the top of the browser and keep it there for a few seconds you can see how many mb's each is using. maybe your com is allocating to many resources to this. i would also check in the task manager the performance to see how my cpu is doing i have 3 hp minis and i really love them. i upgraded the cpu's, maxed the ram and added an upgraded vga card. it works marvelously

dude, i feel for you. here, in banchang rayong, every village where the security guards disappeared because of owners or tenants not paying has been on a downward slope. the pools get closed, the vegetation reclaims the sois, soi dogs start to multiply and if you have a snake in your yard or house you are left to your own device. good luck. the fee is usually worth it and the cheapos who dont pay are morons
