  1. this is the practice in south korea... not thailand
  2. Hi all, i have to soundproof some walls and i am looking for the traditional gypsum based soundproofing ceiling tiles that used to be in my classrooms as a kid. i never used to understand what they were for when i was a kid and i often tried to count the holes--damn i must've been bored enough of that... does anyone know without a doubt where i can find'em? looked on shopee, lazada and major construction shops around but it seems they fell out of favour and just cant find'em anymore. thx ahead
  3. in a nutshell... god damn the human race sucks. when will all this shi1te caused by religion and politics end? is there any other species that commits genocide on each other because of some guy in the sky, or some arse who got elected by the people? I wish i had never been born
  4. dont ask me how, but it automatically gets blocked (sms) and I get a message stating that i received spam but that it was blocked... go figure i dont know if my wife changed settings, but i doubt it she is an iphone fan but i know for sure i didnt do anything I have a samsung a52s same as you with the phone calls... i dont have any reason to get any as i am most inactive, but when i do it is either a wrong # or my internet provider. other than that i just say... falang and either they hang up or i do about my op in this thread... i apologize for i forgot to mention that it gets blocked automatically... but i do get a lot
  5. amazing news. i keep getting spam on my phone
  6. geeez... hes done it now.... lese majeste? the shin dynasty? he's asking all the right questions. but some might not like it
  7. in thailand there usually is a 3 month probation period during which you can get fired, or you can quit. there is no recourse during the probation period. taking 5 days off in less than 2 months... you were asking for it. if you had waited for probation to finish you might have had a chance, but put yourself in the employers shoes... would you have kept yourself on as an employee? i worked with people here who took days off whenever they felt like it and a backache is an inconvenient truth, just like a stomachache, because no one can prove whether you are lying or not. and doctors' papers are a dime a dozen
  8. I just hope puke thai gets the boot. Really hate sretta and anything to do with the shin dynasty
  9. served with a side order of bullshi_ and for desert some lemon meringue pie in the face. oh... they did not tip the staff...
  10. GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. yes, i did. but we are in thailand. i worked in a few international schools and i can tell you first hand that there is a high percentage of non qualified/certified teachers working in thailand. unfortunately i cannot name and shame these schools. also, i have witnessed many foreign teachers in international schools with very ***RELAXED*** ethos. unprofessional conducts are not just a thai thing. also, i have seen many teachers with kao san road degrees. although there seems to be fewer and fewer there are still some out there.
  12. point well taken. when i was doing my education there are a few things i learned that i first scoffed at. i was told NEVER to have an interview with a student alone in a room with the door closed. this is one thing i have witnessed over and over in thailand... thai and foreign teachers fraternizing with students in ways that defy the ethos of teaching. as a teacher you must not only protect the students but also yourself. maybe it was the fear of teachers and their sticks, or maybe it was the buddhist attitude towards teachers that has protected teachers against having accusations being made against them, but with today's teen mentality i am sure we are going to see more and more cases of misconduct against teachers just as we see in the west. being a teacher in the west today is a very difficult thing especially with things like the right to use any pronoun or to be any gender under the sun. this guy apparently confessed to the crime and needs to face the music. but thailand not only needs a serious change in its curriculum and how it is delivered, but it specially needs changes in its teacher ethos. it truly is time that thailand wakes up and starts treating teaching as a serious trade and it is high time the teachers stop acting like clowns
  13. what he gonna do? stick it to puke thai for turning on his party in order to gain control? i just wish this were an electoral year so we could see the back of the pukes
  14. poor thais... foreigners have so much more influence than they do. i am actually surprised that nothing has been done yet specially considering the owner is foreign. who in his/her right mind wants to own a lion? have to be cracked in the noggin
  15. whatever.... as long as the baht devaluates against foreign currencies.... wonder if the 10 000bht giveaway will change anything
  16. lollllllllllllllllllllll I worked in a cold cut (hot dog) factory when I was younger... nothing surprises me nor disgusts me anymore. Couldnt eat hot dogs for a year after that summer time job.... the smell seemed to be everywhere. I remember getting the boxes of frozen beef hearts and leftover chicken with their feathers still on... no... we did not clean any of it per factory practice... so... cheese in a can? What me worry??? lol
  17. comes from listening to music too loud when we were young... drunk people also talk louder too as for me, personally, I do talk loud but not out of choice. I have severe tinnitus in one ear... loud enough to make it hard to make out what people are saying... so I do sadly speak loudly
  18. cheese in a can? love it... whats the problem? ; ) but salt in coffee, or tea? what on earth are the thinking?
  19. 5 X i read this article. even read on thaiger. i am still wondering what the stimulus measures will be. seems the only thing he is really planning is the digital wallet. i predict this will come right back and bite him. however, he will be collecting our taxes eventually... i really hope this helps with the canadian $. it used to be 30bht to the dollar and for 8 years now it has sucked

  23. In 1989, he launched IBC, a cable television company. At that time, Thaksin had a good relationship with Chalerm Yoobumrung, the minister of the Prime Minister's Office, who was in charge of Thai press and media. It is a question whether Chalerm granted the right to Thaksin to establish IBC to benefit his close friend, seeing that the project had been denied by the previous administration.[26] However, it turned out to be a money loser and he eventually merged the company with the CP Group's UTV.[22][27] In 1989, Thaksin established a data networking service, Shinawatra DataCom,[22] today known as Advanced Data Network and owned by AIS and TOT.[28] Many of Thaksin's businesses were later consolidated as Shin Corporation. well... he was into pretty much everything that can, in a way, control public opinion...
