I normally go in person and in any case was trying it as a matter of finding out but the site states too long for site to repond and it still ppears that many problems and think I will stick to going in and like to see them and likewise the other way.

Certainly not all of them but when see your wallet empty. What no money? Ok will go and get a little but also see posts that the Thais are all the same lol but that is unfair as this is all around the world and even close family can be the same and then greed of course and no helping close family but not distant ones who expect a pay out!!

Some may well have no family at home but hope most who have Thai family here have wonderful ones and yes certainly most of us ex-pats have not got a pot of gold and yes existing on very small savings left and also frozen income ie frozen state pension, which never goes up one Baht. Yes, we look after as best that we can our Thai families and the little things do mount up with Grandchildren (well treated as our own) all mounting up on fixed income.

Hi All Last time I renewed my Car driving License at Kanchanaburi DLT in person and realise because of Covit 19 offices were shut but led to believe that the offices are now open since 2022 and is this true and can one goes in on the day to renew but is there still a booking appointment and my present licence expires 22nd May. Yes a fair way away and was trying to find and email address for the Head Office DLT in Kanchanaburi and yes try not to do much driving to be considerate for others. If someone can help with any information and sites and have tried googling. Yes, indeed would normally like to do this a week before but is there a grace period but rather not drive with an out of date license. Yes realise requirement yellow book, pink Id card, current drivers license and passport pages and a doctors certificate and is there a standard one, or can one use a clinics form Indeed many thanks and yes could go in to the offices and ask but do not want to risk others etc. Thanks all

LivingKata Thanks for information and was trying to find out and I suppose can go in the Kanchanaburi DLT and my current 5 year Thai license runs out 22nd May 2022 and yes realise I will have to have my yellow book, my pink Id card my current licence and the Doctors certificate. Anything else and thought one can just go to the offices from the start of 2022 and wondering how long one has to wait for an appointment and is there a period of grace but in the meantime if stopped by the police it could be difficult. I think there is a website but yes could go in to Kanchanaburi DLT to find out further. Re: The Doctors certificate is there a standard one or can an ordinary doctors not sufficient. Can anyone confirm and my 5 year drivers license matures 22nd May Do I have to get an appointment on line nearer the times or can I go in to the DLT head office in person and yes realise a medical certificate is now required and yeah old maturing passport and they take photos there and yes can use my yellow book and my passport. You are right with some things but prices are shooting up here and yes many of us a struggling with a Thai family to support and not too many have pots of gold on diminishing funds and a frozen state pension and yes cut back are necessary and one had to.
