Well for what it is worth my English credit card matured in the last couple of years and missed the cut off date and now can not get another one but the bank concerned noticed I hardly used it and in any case the same as an ordinary ATM in that the latter has to be picked or authorised by a friend in the UK and then fowarded to me next year the normal hassle every 2 or 3 years

I sort of read it and yes been here 13 years and invested but why so many bikes and houses amongst other things and yes most of us have not got pots of gold, either

Hi All And have tried google and believe that there are steps one can use but a bit confusing. I have home computer and want to share to Facebook and yes I know F/B to F/B is very easy and also some pictures etc and be saved as a Jpeg file and saved to computer and can attach to an email. How do you send photos sent to your yahoo mail on to someone who only has Facebook and think there are steps but having no joy. Anyone please help and appreciate and not great on modern technology thanks

Yes was just checking my UK statement and saw this 20.06 pounds debit and saw it today after checking my on line account and did actually request a transfer from my debit card to Wise and that of course was setting up some monies to cover their bank fee The incoming Thai bank would still charge about 500 Bant just for crediting to your account. The big advantage is quite a swing in the exchange rates and Wise used the actual mid market rate and by about 2 Baht Yes amended my original post as indeed Lloyds do not charge a fee to transfer the 20 pound to cover transfer fee from Wise. At the time it cam within one day and it coincided with my Frozen state pension but could not quite work it out but the pension amount appears to be transferred at the mid market rate as well and very small consolation for our fixed frozen pension On e bit of caution and likely on transferring funds you might have to use 2 lines of proving your identity and a couple of codes but basically extra security. Yes, who knows whether I will make 72 let alone 75 or 76 and yes do eat well and breakfast is varied and also enjoy Thai food. Charlie H and others a great post and some amusing and yes others stating when the money dries up (and LOL think this has come from the so-called other Grandmum who has not contributed it seems not one single Baht as far as I know and 16 years ago gave 10k for a health bill of 30 or 40K and that was when first came over and stated "That is all I can afford" Yes heard this question before and heard " What happens when the money runs out" the answer is well you can start contributing and if lucky to reach 75 (am 71 a mere spring chicken) but by that time to old to go back to the UK or as well many of us could not afford the fare and especially at the moment. Just try and enjoy each day as and when it comes, it is the only way and just do the best for your family and that is all we can ask for and do. Perhaps some of the very wealthy family members will help but just saw 10 pink elephants fly by my window. However, I do notice that the extended family never ever give back substantial loans but state it was a gift!!! I am not complaining or ranting but so pleased done the things in my life and hopefully more to come. Just enjoy folks
