LI YUAN HOT POT
(But the name is misleading)
OK this place is open now.
Yippee.
Word is on one of the foodie sites is that the food is authentic and fabulous.
As said they have their hot pot menu (which is going to get expensive) and their non-hot pot menu.
Surprisingly the gourmet sounding non-pot menu has prices that are very reasonable.
Jomtien is turning Chinese and I like it.
Here is basically the entire non-hot pot part of the menu --
Spicy cold chicken 179
Vegetable salad 129
Octopus in sauce ?? but not expensive
Ribs cooked in rice pot 159
XO sauce lettuce 169
Broccoli sprouts 159
Water spinach 129
Spicy green beans minced pork 128
Bamboo shoot thing 178
Pumpkin 199
Fried cabbage 99
Braised eggplant 156
Stir fry pork 169
Burn metabolin (don't shoot the messenger, do you dare order it?) 199
Radish beef brisket 299
Grilled fish 269
3 cup chicken (This is a very famous dish of Taiwan or Chinese Taipei if you don't want a fight) 189
Gravy squid 189
Meat fried tofu clay pot 156
Pork chops 269
Taiwan shrimp 269
Prawns (fancy fried?) 269
Spicy crab 499 999
Braised in soy sauce pork 289
Cucumber pork 138
Orange juice lotus root 89
You got the name wrong. This is why pictures are helpful.

Much better to let them think they are going to get the money and string them along. Why let them off so easy?
Let them feel that they are within touching distance. When it doesn't work for them, apologise for one of the numbers being wrong. Keep it going until they feel sick. It will discourage them from their dirty work.

Maybe one of your former customers.
Your effort was poor. You should have made up some details and sent him on a wild goose chase.
Hope you can do better the next time.
I have them begging me to leave them alone after a week of them running around.

That is just so crazy stupid. Nobody puts money in check-in luggage. That is so stupid my head exploded.
Because it makes no sense, I have to wonder if this was a sting operation planting money in the bag to expose luggage pilferers.
Sigh, that doesn’t make full sense to me because of the pile with just one serial number photographed. TIT maybe because many things don’t make logical sense to my western brain.
Many people do, regardless of what you think.
Some will imagine that it is safer to have in a locked suitcase, than on their person where they can misplace it.
That doesn't mean that they are stupid.

Clearly we have the most intelligent people in the world, right here in Thaivisa.
Another thing not mentioned here are the people whose hand luggage in taken into the hold for one reason or another.

There’s no logic to this story. You do not do that and you do not photograph notes and put them in an unsafe place like your luggage . Hand luggage is in your sight all th time . It’s a set up . Somewhere someone for some reason set this up. But that’s crazy too.. Also 20k baht is chicken feed to a South Korean !
You clearly haven't seen the reports of items being stolen from hand luggage whilst the owners are sleeping.
Not all South Koreans are rich.

You just click on the link: http://download.cpuid.com/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.90-en.exe and tell us what happens.
Does it go into your Downloads folder or ask you where you want to save it?

Don't put yourself down. Just follow the instructions.
If there is something that you don't understand, simply ask and we will go through it step by step.
You should be proud of your achievements, not your failures.
Too many of the older people here seem proud to be seen as inept. You are not. So don't act that way.
Make your son proud.

Not a problem. Humour doesn't always translate with the written word. That's why we have emoticons. ????
Installing and running CPU-Z: http://download.cpuid.com/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.90-en.exe will give you the option of generating a report of the hardware installed within your PC. it doesn't give away any identifying information(unless you have named your PC with your full name.
If you are concerned about that, you can send the report via PM.
So you run CPU-Z and it will open a GUI;
At the bottom, you will see the Tools button. Click on the downwards pointing arrow and choose Save Report as .HTML
Choose to save it to your Desktop or wherever you like.
Then you need to upload that file and post the link here or via PM.
http://www.datafilehost.com/ will do. Open page, click on the Browse button, navigate to where you stored the .HTML report. Double click to insert it and then click Upload.
Post the resulting Download link here...or via PM.

Subsidized housing, and food. Also bus fair and free education. But at the same time people are kept poor and if they try to work out of it they lose the freebies so don't. Working under the table works for some, others sell drugs on the street corner. Its not an honest way to live. Single moms get more as with more children. So fatherless homes become common in poor areas. It revolves generation after generation and keeps people dependant on government aid (or slavery).
Opposed, Thailand has some handouts but if you don't work you almost go hungry (or eat at the temple).
Working make people feel valued. Welfare tears them down.
You know that this is nonsense, don't you? Let's say you are working in London for £10 per hour and you work for 40 hours per week.
Average one bedroom apartment in London perhaps £1200 per month in rent. Not including bills.
You then have to pay your bills, buy work clothes, pay for transport and eat from that.
Would you feel valued?
It's easy to sit in an ivory tower and proclaim. But when you are under the cosh of a zero hours contract, don't have the freedom to supplement your income nor have any influence over government policy, what are you supposed to do?
I should add that I'm not in the position of being under a zero hours contract etc. But I am not so divorced from reality to see that very many are in that position and would not have a way out of it, if it weren't for 'freebies'.
Welfare doesn't tear people down. There are always winners and losers. People who owned houses and saw the value go up and enjoyed taking equity from said property were happy. People looking to get on the property ladder, dreadfully unhappy.
Many years ago, you could leave school, get yourself a job, get yourself a council flat and get on with your life. You might even have a job for life. So fewer worries about taking on a mortgage.
These days, you need to live with your parents until your are thirty, before you can even raise a deposit for a property. Forget about getting a council flat. There is little security of employment, but yet you can still be tied into a twenty five year mortgage.
So your soundbite of welfare tearing people down bears no relation to the reality on the ground.
Welfare isn't the problem. Populist soundbites only excite people who cannot be bothered to think for themselves.

I have AdBlocker extension installed. I have compared airline prices, done online banking and even posted on Thai Visa with no problem.
Why should I change please?
Comparing airline prices using the same website on the same browser but different tabs, will often result in results being replicated. Hence complaints from people stating dates being changed when they actually went to book, as the booking used cookies from the other tab.
So best to have more than one Browser at hand.
I did not state that Chrome doesn't work. I just don't like to be tracked around the web by a single company who collects your data continuously.

Depends on the task. I use different browsers for different tasks. But I never use Chrome, unless on someone else's PC.
For instance, Chrome would only be used in conjunction with Chromecast.
If I don't want to be Tracked, I'll use yet another Browser.
If something doesn't work properly with one browser, I can use an alternative.
If I am, for instance, comparing airline prices and also don't want to be tracked, I'll have two different Browsers, both of which block Ads and Tracking...
Just examples. i'm not going to recommend specific Browsers. But i don't use Chrome and only very rarely EDGE.
I'll use EDGE for the few times when a website blocks ad-blockers and I don't want to waste time trying to bypass their ad-blocker blocker script, as I just need temporary access.

How would he know that his post was unhelpful? You, after all, are unable to tell us anything about your PCs. Other than XP and Windows 7 are installed. Nor are you able to do anything with them on your own. So hardly exuding PC knowledge.
So how would he know that you knew about support ending for Windows 7?

There are lots of reasons for not using Chrome. Which is why it's a good idea to have alternatives installed, then to use the Browser most suitable for the task in hand.

That group has been complaining for years, in order to get rid of the competition.
Especially now that there is less custom to go around.

That looks better. Confirm with the vendor that it will work with your laptop. That way if there are any issues, you will have something in writing.
Only clone if you have a complicated setup that will take too long to replicate. You don't want to clone any resource hogging bloatware that may have been supplied with the laptop.
Clean install is the way, if you want to get the best out of such a device.

Erm...no.
That is PC RAM, not laptop RAM. Plus it is for AMD, not Intel.
You need SODIMM, not DIMM. Also low voltage RAM; 8gb DDR3L PC3L-12800

A lot to spend on an 11.6" low resolution screen laptop.
Also, if you are going to use a program wherein there will be continuous writing to the drive, such as from multiple webcams, don't go cheap on the SSD.

None of those components would be my choice and cloning the drive is not a necessary step.

That is precisely what I wanted to do.
I never have such a complicated setup, that it isn't just as easy for me to run a clean install. But I understand that there are those who do.

The OEM license is tied to the whole system so not only motherboard or HDD. So you can upgrade parts of it but at some point Microsoft will consider it a new machine and deactivate your licence. You can switch the HDD, but you need to clone the OS to the new drive for it to be accepted.
I upgraded my two dell laptops recently to SSD drives. I used Macrium Reflect to clone the drives, once cloned it was easy to switch the drives over. They rebooted with the new drives no problem, both were running Win7, so once I'd switched to the SSDs I successfully upgraded both to Win10.
Also, unless you actually wanted to upgrade over the top of your original Windows 7 install, in order to not have to reinstall programs etc, it was all a horrible waste of time.
You could have simply clean installed Windows 10 directly to the SSD and applied the Windows 7 activation in varied ways. Twenty minutes and done.

I'm happy to stand corrected, however that was the advice given to me, and cloning worked fine. The end result was what I wanted.
It appears the people who advised genobkk were the same people who advised you.
If genobkk is suffering from a sluggish device, it probably better to run a clean install to a solid state drive, as opposed to importing the old problems to the new drive.
If the OS was pre-installed by DELL; Installing Windows 7(not recommended), he can use any DELL re-installation media(I have the image available if necessary). That will 'handshake' with the embedded marker within the BIOS chip on the Motherboard.
Windows 8/8.1; the product key is within an MSDM table within the UEFI environment on the Motherboard, so will auto-activate with the correct edition/SKU.
Windows 10, you can upgrade for free from either of the above. Either over the top or via a clean install. Once activated, will stay activated, even if you change the storage drive etc.

Let us know what he suggests and for how much before he does anything.
Also, post the model numbers of the PC to help us to identify the current specifications, to give us an idea of what may be possible on the upgrade front.
I will always suggest using a Seedbox for Torrents, rather than uploading from your own device.

Sorry, but this statement is quite wrong. You should not be giving advice on a technical forum if you do not know of what you write.
There is absolutely no need to clone the drive and the OEM licence for both Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 is tied just to the Motherboard.
