Having worked in the Exhibition game for years promotional items were a noticeable sum in the client’s budget, however looking at the items offered and their prices I can easily see a markup of at least 90+%. So very obvious why they are in the current situation.

Good idea but I will miss the Ferry ride, it was always pleasant to have the short sea trip.

Twenty years ago Hyundai was referred to as Korean c##p in Australia, today it’s regarded as one of the best. Great Wall has been tarred with the same brush also the current MG even though they are selling very well, maybe we should look a little more closely at what they are offering before we discount them. A YouTube reviewer in the UK reported on a Great Wall pickup and concluded that it lacked very little compared to a Toyota and was half the price, why pay for the name ?.
Any company that sets up in Thailand must be welcome, export or die, tourism dead for next few years in my opinion.

I went to Patong for the first time a few weeks ago and have to say the photo does not exaggerate. The Hotel we stopped at was very well priced and room was excellent. We only walked down to the beach where we saw three other people, O K it was raining a little but to walk past endless closed shops and restaurants was quite depressing. For dinner we went to one of the two open restaurants, service was excellent, the staff outnumbered the diners by about three to one, two tables occupied out of maybe thirty. This is going to take some getting over, my town , Ao nang, is the same, a few Hotels have reopened but their profits are minimal if any, good luck to the Thai workers, they need it.

I've tried both, several times. I don't mind Vegimite but it's definitely much milder. I have to put half a jar on to flavour a slice of toast.
I would hate to see the results about eight hours later, half a jar will grease the complete suspension on a LandRover.

Marmite was the original, Vegemite just a copy. Bovril for cold days and with Oxo also good for making Pabs, anyone from Lancashire will know what Pabs is. Another soft drink is sarsaparilla, haven't seen it since the seventies

So many variations between Immigration Offices, seems this complaint comes up every month so I’ll add my usual compliment for Krabi. Takes about five minutes, costs nothing and as a bonus a smile and a wai from the young Lady, couldn’t be easier.????????????

A couple of years ago I bought a 2006 Ford Focus 1.8 for less than 200K with 96,000km on the clock .in two years I have done a couple of trips to Issan from Krabi and it has never let me down. Outlay over two years has been full service and report by Ford costing approximately 4000 baht, full set brake pads and four new tyres 8000, only replaced as they were old.
Currently valued for insurance at 150K but have seen them for less, parts easy and cheap and nothing very complicated, all in all well worth looking for.- 1

Try sending it to Australia, receiver would be subject to hefty fine and goods destroyed.
Bio security is taken very seriously by most of the world and so it should be by Thailand.

Talking of strange things to eat I was happily devouring a very tasty ,meaty stew and I made the mistake of asking what the meat was. After a bit of discussion in Thai I was told long tail, totally confused I asked, live in sea thinking they caught it from boat, no, long tail run up tree. The penny dropped and I realised that was my first taste of monitor lizard and also my last.

Remember that anything you post is easily found, what a waste of five minutes reading this fantasy story.

I sometimes do a trip advisor or Agoda review and then read the negative reviews after I have submitted mine. I often wonder if I have stopped at the same place, the comments can be exceptionally harsh and if you follow the poster tend to have a common theme, self importance.
One of my favourite restaurants in Krabi received two scathing reviews in a couple of days from so called Tourists so I checked their previous reviews, dozens of exotic locations ranging from South America, Seychelles, Mediterranean resorts and Asia all within twelve months, I think their reviews should be reviewed by the publishers.
If you have to complain do it direct, not in print, remember, if you can’t say anything nice, say nothing.

I don’t wish to get involved in American politics as I am not American but the actions of so many so called Protesters could clearly be classed as anarchy . The peaceful protests where people express an opinion has seemingly been hijacked, result is many are now condemning any and all protests. The cry for law and order is gaining momentum and sadly it may not be settled by the ballot box.

Legalise all so called recreational drugs, BUT refuse treatment for overdoses, all rehabilitation at user’s expense, accept the death rate and classify it as suicide,
Result will be drying up of supply, decreasing profits for distributors, reduction of burglaries by addicts, less Police time wasted on taking addicts and suppliers to Court where they receive laughable sentences.Looking at the results of the survey I seem to be in the minority with these views...

Krabi again, walk in with medical certificate, old license, Passport, do reaction and visual tests, sign forms. Pay fee, have photo taken, get five year license, say thank you and leave. All done in fifteen minutes, I like Krabi...

I bank with SCB and transfer funds every month via TransferWise and in the bankbook it never shows as international, however on the bank statement it is coded MCL0001. Nobody in my branch knew what this meant, looking through TV forum I found another member had checked and it meant, international funds transfer from other bank with API system.
my IO checked and it was accepted last year and last month when I got my latest extension .There is also / X888994 [ KBANK ]which means the same and is also accepted.

The saga continues, why can’t everyone just accept that he has the funds to make this disappear and if I was him I would simply employ someone to talk to the ultimate power. A marriage to a suitable lady could render him untouchable, imagine money and power...

I am very surprised at the resurrection of this case, surely the people who have no doubt been greatly enriched would have been able to close it down. The family influence and the money that they have no doubt distributed should have closed it ages ago, unless,.... others have taken an interest.

Motorcyclist killed after big black dog ran out during race on the highway
in Bangkok News

The famous Black Dog, it must be getting a little grey now as it has been around to my knowledge since the sixties. The inevitable cause of any single vehicle accident in my youth was " swerved to avoid a big black Dog" and that was in the UK.
