  1. There are some real heifers in there.  Hard to believe that in the land of tiny, ultracute, ultrafeminine women, people would pay for those beasts. Different strokes for different folks, as Sly Stone said.

That's because you're seeing them without beer goggles for the first time !!

  2. While this is obviously an opportunity for some funny remarks, and I am not condemning them , this is a much more serious case than someone having an impromptu tug and waving it at some passing schoolgirls !!
    SPOILER ALERT [emoji599]
If you watch the video you will see the severity of this !
The children are VERY young and there is some interaction !! it is much more disturbing and disgusting than it first seems.
Someone mentioned abduction and I think this was the prime intention !!
If you watch the video BE WARNED !

  3. I took that route with Malaysia Airlines last month, the BKK-KUL-BKK legs on a B738were crammed & uncofortable, the stopover in KUL short but doable, however the A380 between KUL and LGR-T4 was fine, reasonable IFE & catering & seat-space, and 30 kgs hold-luggage allowed.  My trip late-January, booked a few months ahead of travelling, cost me B19,800 return.

However I was slightly miffed to discover, after my return, that the long-haul sectors hadn't got me any airmiles at all with their OneWorld partner, whose frequent-flyer program I'm currently trying to build points with ! So 25-hours in Economy gained me a numb-bum, but no airmiles ! :glare:

I have some American airmiles that I'm using up, appears I can use them on BA or Qatar routes from Bangkok to UK but not on the Malaysian route !
What's that all about ? Cheap ass airline [emoji35]

  4. So guess that leaves 25% or more who do.
This place would probably survive  w/o the sex trade.  Hua Hin does not have much of one and it is doing OK.  Many other places in this country the same.  I for one would leave as I am here mostly for sex with many girls.  If they got rid of it I would move to AC in a heart beat I like that place alot.

    Atlantic City ?
Not sure there's much going on there !

  5. So another who didn't like my post video or link. Yes it's not everyone's cup of tea. But it is interesting to see how foreigners die out here. Motorcycle and crossing the road is the biggest killer. Right down to being stung by a jellyfish.
When I first came to Los I traveled a lot round the capital in a taxi. In 1 year I must have seen 10 fatal accidents on the road. In graphic detail. No one covers up the body here. It disturbed me the first time I saw a dead body. Now I don't get upset as much. I also would read or look at the Thai newspaper everyday. In there is graphic images of death. Now I have fast internet and seen the horror of the middle east through my laptop. Watched liveleak or other graphic video collections. Nothing disturbs me much. Although the terror attacks in Europe last year were very disturbing.

On the contrary tukkytuktuk I did like your post and the link, sometimes my sarcastic sense of humour is misread.

The link is interesting and alarming to see the number and methods that farangs choose ( or have chosen) to depart this mortal coil.

I also have seen my fare share of dead bodies, I lived in Brazil for 20 years and road accident fatalities there would remain on the road until police arrived, sometimes all day and all night for everyone to see.

  6. I watched the video a few times, not easy to tell if there was a pedestrian crossing or not but we all know pedestrian ( zebra) crossings here mean nothing.
The one thing I would say is that the family set off out into the oncoming traffic at quite a pace, probably frustrated at having to wait some time, and not giving the bike time to stop.

Obviously the fact that the motorcycle rider left the scene before the police arrived was wrong also !

  7. If considering National Express, try to book your ticket at least 4 weeks in advance and you'll save a lot of money. Do it on the day and you'll pay up to 4 x more.

Travel Lodge and Premier Inn (free all you can eat breakfast) are usually the best deals.
Get a "giff-gaff" sim (works on O2 network) free sim and good rates etc.

    Plus
If you order the Giffgaff sim online they will post it to any uk address you want in a couple of days, a good time saver.

  8. Not none.

Up to 4 (four) withdrawals per month at other banks within the same region/province are free.
Even Thai people seem to be unaware or why would they use the ATM with the longest queue.
I repeatedly used other banks ATMs in the past.

"Other banks": all major banks are in a so called "ATM pool".
Bet you don't know the names of those which are not.
AEON is an exception as far as I know.

Withdrawals outside the region/province cost a fee at almost all banks (more for other bank).
I read that there are one or two banks who allow free withdrawals nationwide at own ATMs.
    Was TMB one of them?

I should probably add that my statement/experience about four withdrawals refers to Bangkok Bank ATM card.
I have not investigated for other banks but just found similar at Kasikorn.

    I stand corrected !

    Good to know that !
I am Bangkok Bank too, I only knew about the out of province withdrawals being charged.

  9. She was sacked from the hotel and everyone is in agreement that she deserved it.
The loss of face to her family, friends and yourself is surely tough for her.

Nobody can make the decision as to where your relationship goes now except yourself.
Obviously the fact that you are bringing this out in the open means you have very strong feelings for her but also means you are not sure if you can trust her now.
Not an easy one for strangers (us) to answer for you.
I have known my gf since August 2015 but only been together just under a year.
If I were in your situation I would certainly give her another chance but that's only my opinion based on my feelings towards her and my thoughts about this being an isolated case of dishonesty.

  10. I opened a Bangkok Bank savings account ( comes with a Be1st debit Visa card but I only use it at atm's ) last July.
Opened it on a tourist visa at Future Park Rangsit, after trying 3 Kasikorns and 2 other Bangkok Banks ( they all wanted work permits) my gf gave her mothers address as a residence.
No online banking but I never asked for it and when I tried to set it up online it told me to go to the branch but I haven't gone back to the branch to try and get it yet.
Transfer from my NatWest account no problem, have made 5 or 6 international transfers, just need the card reader first time.

You'll probably get knocked back a couple of times but just keep trying.

  11. I was in a similar shunt a few years ago ( not in Thailand), this was a nine car pile up, I was number 4.
I had managed to stop but was shunted into the car in front as was claimed by another car behind but that was all irrelevant as I had no proof.
As I was in a rental I didn't worry too much, although the guy in the last car was hurt pretty bad and had internal bleeding ( centre seatbelt caused this ).
This chaos was caused by first car slowing down abruptly to look at a 2 car shunt on other side !!

I always try and keep a safe distance from the car in front but some <deleted> twit usually overtakes on the left and slides in the gap !!

(twit wasn't my first choice of words )
