  2. First question is your fiancée Thai or Lao?

You can get married in a Buddhist ceremony in Laos.

Then go back to Thailand and register the marriage in the local Amphur.

You need to bring affiliation to get married from your embassy translated to Thai and stamped by MFA.

She has to bring ID card and house paper.

Two witness. (In my case the witness was employees in the Amphur)

  3. There is no 6 month visa that I'm aware of.

    Or Me.

Maybe referring to double entry tourist visa.

60+30 days, border run, 60+30 days.

If you are in europe you can apply for an "ED" visa in Hull.

    According to their website

Category “ED” (education – unpaid work) – this category entitles a person to:

a ) to study in Thailand

    B ) to attend/participate in a conference/seminar/exhibition in Thailand

c ) to attend as an official at a recognised event in Thailand

d ) to attend a training course (teaching, diving, boxing, etc) in Thailand

e ) to study as a Buddhist monk in Thailand

Contact the consulate in Vancouver and Ask them what visa they can give you.

Hull in England is very flexible.

  4. To get this straight, if I want to stay on a legit visa up to one year, what is my option?

I don`t work, am not married, and under 50. However I dont want to show a monthly income.

And for those who compare me with a bum or loser, you have no clue. I never get into trouble, spend my own money, and respect the laws here as well as any. I should have the same right to be here as you.

I can apply for a multiple non O visa at Kuala Lumpur, right? And get max. 15 months, with borderruns every 90 days?

What are their demands at KL, how much money do I need to show in my thai bank? 100.000 bath?

That should do it? Just show them my thai bankbook? And the other usual papers of course?

Would a bank statement from my home country do it?

    Thanks for answering.

This long thread confuses me, and I really appreciate an answer.

    Thanks people :)

    Not in KL.

Closest for you would be Perth.

  7. They have a 09-09-09 promotion on Bangkok airways today.

Booking only this date, Samui-Chiang Mai return ticket 5000 Baht.

Thinking surprising my wife by taking her up north to visit family.

Also thinking about staying one night in Chiang Mai city for Loy Krathong.

What date should I book my departure?

Will there be problems finding a hotel during Loy Krathong.

    Thanks in advance.
