  1. The plan now is to go over there on a 1 year ED visa set up a business and then apply for a non-B using my business, does this sound possible ?? or other way to do it ?

You can set up the business and then apply for WP.

Then you'll have to got to KL and get a single entry non-im B.( You need to bring the WP3, receipt for applying for WP)

Then after you get your WP must go again to KL to get your 1 year non-B.

After two years of audited results you can apply for extension of stay at immigration in Thailand.

  2. Does he work?

If he works and makes 40.000 baht/ month or have 400.000 in a Thai bank account he can get 1 year extension at immigrations.

It must be his salary or his bank account, joint salary or joint account.

    From Police order 777/2551

  3. Oh, I thought it was some shooting range where you can have a go on real guns for fun.

There is a real shooting range, with real guns & ammunition.

Actually two, one opposite Makro, Chaweng (the original one).

The other one close to Namuang waterfalls.

    Just guns.

Not like in Cambodia ten years ago with hand grenades and anti-tank missiles. (option to buy a cow for target) :)

  4. One of my Cats has a serious paw infection.

He stayed with the Vet for 3 days before I took him home.

Now, two days later he puked something I never seen before.

Black goo, mostly consisting of grass and his favourite dried fish..

The problem is that is was black as oil, and a lot of it.

I give him the prescribed medication and shift and clean his paw everyday.

Any Idea what the black vomit is?

  5. Yes they have changed the rules, the income or money in bank must be the husbands.

Combined income is gone, your wife is going to pay you now and you must shoe your tax receipts.

No need for both the income and bank money.

    PS

The two months seasoning of the money in the bank is only for first extension.

    After that it's three months.

  6. Could it seem patronising or sarcastic when said to a waiter or taxi driver?

Like in England if you said "Thank you kind sir" when getting on the bus.

Using "na khrap" would not be out of place at all in that context.

As long as the person is the same age or older than you, even "khrap phom" would be fine. They would just think that you are an especially polite person. Just don't greet them with an obsequious wai, and you should be fine!

    Khap Khun na khrap. :)
